One day after HTC’s self-imposed deadline for the release, the Android 4.4.2 update for the HTC One is released to Sprint users in the US. The OTA update brings NFC Tap & Pay, cloud printing and Bluetooth profiles. HTC Sense is also updated to 5.5 with an updated BlinkFeed.

HTC One users in Canada are getting the Android 4.4 upgrade. The OTA update available for Rogers, Bell, Virgin, TELUS, SaskTel and WIND brings NFC Tap & Pay, cloud printing and Bluetooth profiles.

Yet another firmware leak for the Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505), this time with Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The download link for the leaked I9505OXAFNA5 firmware is included in the post if you decide that you do not want to wait for the official OTA update.

Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 4.4.2 update for the Galaxy Note 3. The build number of the update N9005XXUENA6, same as the firmware that was leaked few days ago.

Today, Google confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition is getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update just like the HTC One GPE. Being launched together in June, now they are both getting the KitKat firmware upgrades at the same time.

After initially releasing the Moto X Android 4.4 KitKat firmware for Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T Moto X owners joined the KitKat club. Although the Google Experience launcher is not included and still stays a Nexus 5 exclusive, this is a good example on how carriers and OEMs should operate.
