Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition Bumped to Android 4.4

Today, Google confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition is getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update just like the HTC One GPE. Being launched together in June, now they are both getting the KitKat firmware upgrades at the same time.

Announced via a post on Google+, the news of the Android 4.4 firmware upgrade for the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition was introduced to the public and now the Samsung GS4 joins the KitKat club along with the Nexus 5, Moto X and HTC One Google Play Edition, the first smartphones to get the newest version of Android.
