LG Launching Curved Android Phone, Called G Flex
While Samsung announced the Galaxy Round three weeks ago, it seems that LG is not that far behind in the curved / flexible screen Android phone project. The recently announced LG G Flex, promoted as the world’s first "REAL" curved smartphone is an attempt to get ahead in the new sub-niche of curved and even flexible smartphones.
No real specifications are available yet, but earlier this week, an Argentinian broadcasting station got their hands on the device for an on-air review and sent a few high res photos over to The Verge.
Here is the full hands on video with the LG G Flex, unfortunately only in Spanish.
UPDATE: It seems like the LG G Flex will be powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB or RAM featuring a 13-megapixel camera. To keep the phone running as long as possible, there will be a 3,500 mAh battery on the back, bringing the total weight of the phone around 177g.
