Capacitive Buttons for Android
Thanks to Daniel Osborne (reviewer) for giving me a workaround so I can finally control my cap lights. I ran the setenforce 0/1 command and was able to get it working
I installed it and set it on low.... And now it doesn't glow at all when I set it on high it never goes off.... Ever..... The light is 24/7 on... How can I reset it back
I tried many apps to disable soft-key back light but non of them worked. This is the first app to work. Very useful to me during nights!
Seems like this app doesn't work on CM12's su binary.
And I loved it cuz it works on my non-xiaomi phone!!!
nice application very tiny app but very useful and straight forward. what you see is what you get. what i want is to turn off my capacitive button light every time i press it and this app didnt fail me. it also saves battery. dont hesistate to try this app. thanks and merry christmas!
It doesn't work on SELinux enabled devices (Lollipop and higher). The app needs to handle SE contexts properly. The workaround right now is to execute the command "setenforce 0" in a terminal to disable SELinux then run the app. Execute "setenforce 1" to turn it back on. Please post an update to fix that.
In my xiaomi note LTE, this works but only off and normal brightness. Not extra bright like it performed in hardware test. I'll do anything I can to help. I am rooted and know a bit about phones and Linux.
My capacitive buttons were acting up, I disabled them and replaced them with virtual buttons using another app, but they still had their lights. Not anymore using this! Thank you! I know have a smaller but functional screen.
It's worked perfectly on Android 4.4.2, but couldn't work on 5.0.2. It says "changing permissions of the file failed".
HTC OneMax (rooted) - Perrmissions denied, lights stay on 24/7 untill uninstalled/reboot. Previously worked fine.

Sometimes the backlight won't go off for a few seconds, even after turning the screen off... Fix this issue... Else awesome app... (y)
Tiny app, downloaded, pressed the button, done :)
The app turned my capacitive lights off but I can't get them to turn back on again. Help me! Motorola Droid MAXX here.

My quest ends here at this app.. Have been searching for so long.
I set it to no light option and now after setting it back to lit option it does not even go off even after the phone switches off
And I loved it cuz it works on my non-xiaomi phone!!!
Does not work on galaxy tab A
I use this to turn off the lights during the night. Unfortunately, it won't dim them, just turn them on (full brightness) or off, however, I think it may just be a kernel limitation on this ROM, so I won't dock any stars.

Additionally, the left button is quite a bit dimmer than the others. It would be nice to have the same level of lighting for all buttons. Not sure if that's fixable (it may be one lighting element). Any fix here?

Hey, it works awesome on my QMobile Noir i12.Thanks for this app
I use yusun t55 and the app works perfectly. Kudos for the developer

I can read my books at night now. Rooted HTC one s. Thanks!
I needed something to turn off the key lights on this phone and it worked like a charm and the widget gives me access to turn it on whenever i want, Fantastic! Great job developer :)
I'm not using it for it's intended purpose, and in fact it doesn't work for this on the OPO, but it does solve the issue that OPO phones are currently having with capacitive buttons failing to turn off when the screen sleeps. Awesome, thanks!
