About Capacitive Buttons

Control the brightness of the capacitive buttons (the back, home, and recent tasks buttons) on several devices in the HTC One series. Root is required in order for this application to work, but it works with any ROM.

NOTE: The "Pro" version of this app is updated 2-4 weeks earlier than the free version, and thus has some bug fixes and new features not available in the free version. If you'd like to get the latest fixes and features earlier, the pro version is for you. Otherwise, you can live a full and happy life with the free version. See the description in the pro version for details about differences between the free and pro versions.

It doesn't work on SELinux enabled devices (Lollipop and higher). The app needs to handle SE contexts properly. The workaround right now is to execute the command "setenforce 0" in a terminal to disable SELinux then run the app. Execute "setenforce 1" to turn it back on. Please post an update to fix that.

In my xiaomi note LTE, this works but only off and normal brightness. Not extra bright like it performed in hardware test. I'll do anything I can to help. I am rooted and know a bit about phones and Linux.

I use this to turn off the lights during the night. Unfortunately, it won't dim them, just turn them on (full brightness) or off, however, I think it may just be a kernel limitation on this ROM, so I won't dock any stars.

Additionally, the left button is quite a bit dimmer than the others. It would be nice to have the same level of lighting for all buttons. Not sure if that's fixable (it may be one lighting element). Any fix here?

I'm not using it for it's intended purpose, and in fact it doesn't work for this on the OPO, but it does solve the issue that OPO phones are currently having with capacitive buttons failing to turn off when the screen sleeps. Awesome, thanks!
