Cactus of The Day for Android
Fantastic app.
Andrew Flynn is the Scorsese of cactus apps, and this is certainly his opus. It is clear that this app shows Flynn's masterful skill in this arena, and coming from anybody else Cactus of the Day would be a tremendous achievement. Coming from Flynn, with his extensive track record delivering cactus apps at the highest level, this is a bit of a letdown. So much of this app is innovative and interesting, but the details are where Flynn falls down. For instance, the first cactus that showed up in the app for me was a branched Pachycereus Pringlei, the archetypal cactus heavily showcased in Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons, that is, the most cliched cactus of all time. For anyone else, this would be a forgivable sin, but for Flynn it's a massive misstep. (Note that I'm not certain whether Flynn chose this cactus specifically for this app, or if it was determined by some sort of randomized web feed, but in either case, it's still an error--either an intentional mis-choosing, or a lack of care about the first-cactus experience, and Flynn is at fault in either case.) Now, the app really shines at cactus flowers. If you know anything of cacti, you know that different species ha
Never again will I look at my home screen with anything but delight. Since I cannot be trusted to handle real cacti, I am so grateful for this incredible app. A true benefit to the world of cactus flower loving, clumsy folks.
Great app. Absolutely gorgeous photos of cacti. They make beautiful wallpaper on my Nexus 7. Both the app developer and the photographer did a great job.
the writer of this app is the best person ever
