Ubuntu Live Wallpaper Beta for Android
I'm having some issues resizing and repositioning on the screen. It becomes unresponsive. Thanks for adding 24-hours format and date customization. I can't wait for the next update
Once I hit 45% battery though, it stopped tracking that. Would be better if the whole circle was larger. GS3.
I've never been a big fan of live wallpapers but this is simply beatiful to pass. It runs smoothly on my note 2 and has not experience any performance issues, probably because it now replace my time widget(bw). Please continue development and add more customizations, will definitely buy this after it comes out of beta. Thanks!
I love this wallpaper! Absolutely stunning, those who complain about the lack of colour option don't know what they are talking about. This is a work of art, if they don't like it, don't install it! You wouldn't expect Van Gough to paint the sun flower painting in a different colour just because someone doesn't like it.
This wallpaper wastes so much RAM, even on a Nexus 5 or 2nd gen. Nexus 7. Please optimise the app.
Once new options are implemented, like ability to keep clock on, it'll be five stars.
I dont know if it is just my phone because everyone else seems to have theirs working fine. I looked at this and it looked really nice so i downlaoded it but when i went to apply it it didnt work and reverted me back to stock android wallpaper. :/ anyone know a workaround??
Garbled display. Bottom left side of my taskbar icons repeated 2 dozen times. I'm using this with zeam launcher. Thanks anyway. Nexus 4. 4.2.2
Unable to open this App on my MOTO-G Error: Sorry, cannot start this application. It does even shows in the applications icon, i have to go into file manager to try opening it.
It shows 1:00 at 13:00. Worst app. Don't spoil ubuntu for us.
Great work team. Adding missed calls, messages would take this app out of beta ;)
Fantastic job guys! It's just lacking a little bit of smoothness. Also, would it be possible to tie the gradient background colour to the battery status - but configurable by the user?
The default theme used in Ubuntu is one of the most pleasant found in a modern operating system and whilst Ubuntu Live Wallpaper is not as functional as the infographic on Ubuntu mobile devices, it is still a fantastic addition to any device running Android.
The only issue bugs me is the heaviness. Appart from it, it's simply beautiful.
Very good wallpaper, except for a severe slowdown on the 4.2 lock screen. Other than that, really really love it. In the app description it says there are still performance issues to be worked out, so I'm guessing it's just a matter of time before it gets fixed. Either way, great work
On the whole it does what it needs to do. With the idea of future updates being able to handle message notifications etc., it could be come a little too ambitious. Either way I'll stick with it to see where it goes from here. Great job dev!
Looks great, wish there were more options than just clock and battery. It moves a little slow, and don't really like the font, but the overall design is really nice. I hope they add a clock/alarm feature in the future.
It's very limited in terms of customisation. I really like to set the colour scheme for the wallpaper. Please add this one if possible. And a little time Text to speech after every hour. That would be cool
For a beta and a 'hobby' project, this is an excellent wallpaper. I'd love to see an update clearing up some of the bugginess (including the numbers sticking, the 00, a bit of lagginess, etc) and including more options. Keep up the good work guys. I'm using this on both an Asus TF300 and a Nexus 4, both rooted with custom kernels. It's worth mentioning that it tends to work better on the Nexus.
I downloaded the twice but didn't appeared in my phone as a app I don't know why ded the twice but didn't appeared in my phone as a app I don't know why? I installed it on Samsung galaxy note 2 but same problem.

Love the look and feel of this live wallpaper, it's getting me excited for Ubuntu phone OS. Wish the clock or battery, in the notification bar,was disabled(depending on what the wallpaper was displaying if possible) when the desktop was visible. Also noticed the battery display show an overlapping of differing % or gets stuck at times...Very nice for beta!
Looks good, just needs an option menu for that blurry flower effect and lighting. Just having the circle would be a very good option. And an option to re center the circle without uninstalling the app!
Just needs a little more customization, when you get a message that it shows it in some way. Take inspiration from the wallpaper of the ubuntu touch rom
-1 star for ignoring the clock format setting. Otherwise its pretty neat.
Only, if it could stop making my phone lagging i would make it 5 star, please fix it, i like this LWP very much...
The only lag issue I have is when unlocking and locking the screen. Other than that has no other effect on my system.
Makes my galaxy nexus feel sluggy for some reason. Otherwise a beautifully designed wallpaper.
Crashing ant wallpaper not setting on HTC sensation running on android 4.2.1. Will give 5 stars if the bug is fixed.
Love what this LWP does so far. I have to agree with many others, performance needs to improve (Galaxy Nexus here), but overall love this LWP. Like others, I also rarely use LWP, but this one is worth it and very cool! Can't wait to see the updates come in and will bump this up to 5 stars. Edit: 01/21/13 - getting better! Latest update is better. Still needs more perf improvements.
Yeah, i can't.. +Color change +sms,call noticification +....
Time at 12:00 is displayed as 0:00 in 12 hour format. This would be better if they are displayed as 12:00 . Overall the live wallpaper is a treat.
It will be a nice feature when we can have an analog clock. For people as me with eyeglasses is analog a better solution. At all very cool and work further on it, please.
Not only is the live wallpaper beautiful and euro-friendly in it's customisation, it also gives complete control over the size and placing of the "Ubuntu clock" via the settings menu. Also, no unnecessary permissions are used and it seems to be extremely well optimised, CPU and performance wise. Freaking great wallpaper.
Like the double tap, just wish it was a little faster to respond. would also love to have the SMS, email etc. Integration like the Ubuntu os. I also wish the clock would say 12 instead of 00 on 12h time. Overall very good app.
-1 star for ignoring the clock format setting. Otherwise its pretty neat.
Je n'ai pas réussi à changer l'heure, dommage que le skin ne gère pas d'autres aspects. Très bon, et bon sinon !
Have been looking for somthing like this for a time now. It would be nice if you could customize apps/functions when dbl.click. And faster/better response. Other than that it is the best I have found.
Looks promising! Already my first and favorite Live wallpaper.

Really love this wallpaper. Replaces two widgets on my HTC one x. The battery level indicator is a bit flakey, doesn't update correctly. Good job and please keep the updates coming! 5 stars once the bugs are ironed out.
