About Missed It!

Get information about the number of missed calls, unread SMS, unread e-mail messages and notifications from virtually any application a glance with this simple yet very customizable widget.

On Jelly Bean 4.2, Missed It! widgets can be placed on the system lockscreen. For previous versions of Android, you will need any lockscreen replacement application.

---- SAMSUNG USERS, READ BELOW BEFORE BUYING THIS APP ----

Features:

* Reports number of missed calls, unread SMS and pending voicemails.

* If you use Gmail, K-9 Mail or AquaMail, you can obtain the number of unread messages of each account individually. In the case of Gmail, you can also select which label to monitor.

* Also reports notifications from any application that uses the notification bar to report events (including WhatsApp, Twitter, e-mail clients, etc).

* Share pending notifications with other apps through the “Shared Elements” list. For example, you can use Missed It! as a provider for the Unread Counts feature on both WidgetLocker and Nova Launcher Prime apps.

* Customization of font and background color and transparency. Also font faces (can use fonts stored in external SD card) and styles (bold, italic, underline).

* Customization of the layout (alignments, padding, etc).

* Text messages can be customized to show whatever phrase you want.

* Represent numbers as text.

---- SAMSUNG USERS, PLEASE KEEP THIS INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE BUYING THIS APP ----

Enabling Missed It! or any other third-party application in Accessibility Services in some Samsung models (Galaxy S3, S4, Note) with TouchWiz launcher will cause some undesired effects. The easiest way to avoid them is to use another launcher (there are very good ones at Google Play for free). Or you can try the following fix: Before enabling Missed It!,disable both Google and Samsung Text-to-Speech to avoid your phone start providing voice notifications of all user actions: Go to System Settings -> Manage Applications -> All, search for both Samsung TTS and Google Text-To-Speech and tap on 'Disable' button.

Now a notification won't go away saying I need to buy this from the market.... even if I have it installed off the market! Bought!

K70%

Used to be amazing, recently I keep getting the error that the version I have is unlicensed and that I should purchase from Google play store. That's where I got it from in the first instance and I paid for the privilege! The notification flashes up periodically and is pinned into my notification bar with no way to get rid of It!

but it is very buggy, wrong values were shown, i got one msg, it says 2 and so on, suddenly it does not work either, please fix this, thx (5.1.1 / cm 12.1 / moto g lte)

Q70%
by Q####:

Missed calls, sms & gmail work perfectly. Other notifications use the Android accessibility service so, while they trigger as expected, they do not reset to zero when read on another device. However this is an android issue & not the fault of the app. The option to display icons would improve an already excellent app.

I purchased this app because I really needed badges on my apps like Fb, WhatsApp etc... But no way... Will be amazing if you can do something about it!

H70%

I bought it for the app focused feature so notifications do not clear from the widget UNLESS the app is opened. Sadly, APP FOCUSED FEATURE DOESN'T WORK IN (LOLLIPOP) and ABOVE.

Badge counts rarely ever display correctly. Just another pointless application.

I want my damn $1.57 back, this app is complete junk, doesnt even work, i even followed the help link to some tutorial.... how hard is it to put a notification above my text or phone or facebook app tesla did it easily and for free, this doent work at all GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK, JERKS

Q70%

Doesn't work very well and doesn't work for GMail additional email accounts (like Exchange for work, etc.). Hasn't been updated in a year and a half. Too bad but don't waste your time.

Q70%

Adding applications as shared elements is a pain. Need check boxes to add multiple or ALL at once. Thanks.

Doubles notifications for 3rd party messaging apps. No developer support. No responses to emails. It appears this app has been abandoned.

N70%
by N####:

It did not fix anything! There's room on my SD card, but keeps saying "Error creating backup." I've had this issue since LAST YEAR when I left my previous review in August! Also, I can't apply presets now! It says an error has occurred and when I choose to send the report, the whole app crashes instead!

Q70%
by Q####:

Will not open on my Nexus 6. Every time I try I get 3 or more popups letting me know that the app crashed.

Q70%
by Q####:

Shame this has been abandoned by the dev. It was better than TeslaUnread...

I70%

This app needs to have the issues fixed, a paid app should have support for it. If it is no longer being supported it needs to be free.

V70%
by V####:

Widget allows me to customize the colour and description of notifications so it blends into my home screen, but stands out brightly when it needs to. Nice. There is an issue however trying to apply saved presets to the widget. Of 6 saved, only 1 works! And that one doesn't apply as saved, but close enough. Beats starting from scratch. Otherwise proving reliable and effective, so nothing missed!

For no reason just stopped countless problems with count correctly

Its a nice app, but like other similar apps it can't properly count the number of messages, mails, etc. One telegram message results in sometimes a display of 7 or 10! :) that's not good. There is the option to only display that there are messages, but that doesn't function at all. Time to work on the app ;)

When I installed this it said I could get a refund within two hours of installation. Well, the app does not work at all on my phone but I can't find where to get a refund. It's not a lot of money, it is the principle.

Ive used this app for several years. Now suddenly i get "unlicensed copy" notification and the app doesnt work at all now. WTF???

It's still buggy, it still doesn't completely work with man y apps. For example, with the Facebook messenger app it says I have 52 notifications that won't go away while I have none.

T70%
by T####:

It usually marks the icon of the respective app with at least a one, but most of the time the amount of notifications is wrong. Once that's fixed, my rating will be a five.

I bought this app but after updating my phone, I get this unlicensed copy error. It looks like the developer isn't even trying to fix it

G70%
by G####:

Overall a good app that does what it claims on the box. Great customisation features allow user generated visual style which is a lovely touch. Unfortunately this app suffers a fundamental flaw whereby if a notifcation is dismissed from the dropdown menu instead of from this app, the app will continue to hold the notification until phone is restarted. This has been demonstrated when interacting with android 4.3 with a touchwiz overlay.

N70%
by N####:

Using a samsung galaxy s4, just updated to lollipop. Missed it still works, but if I turn the phone off and back on, the widget keeps saying “initializing” then I have to re-set the whole app…. Then it works, and then if I turn off the phone and back on again, same thing…! Don’t want to have to constantly do this – are you going to update the app so that it works with lollipop?

The counter is not resetting to zero after viewing the notifications. No problems with kitkat. Only after updating to lollipop.

The app never worked with XGELS, and now it's telling me that I have an unlicensed copy. Don't waste your time.

T70%

I love the fact that I can add any application, but the counter is saying I have double the amount of messages that I have. Please fix.

Is there any way I can reset certain apps notification badges back to zero?? Phone, Gmail and SMS work perfectly, it's just Facebook etc keep saying that I have 1 unread message. Any help would be appreciated. Other than that it's perfect! Thank you!

T70%
by T####:

Support for Google Inbox would be great. So it shows mails that aren't 'done'.

T70%

Allows you to count the total messages and display it as a badge.

For the most part it works. Still have a few small glitches but it seems the only item that works when you're trying to get missed/unread number icons to work. The problems seems to be that the developer has stopped supporting it. It has been well over a year since the last update and his website/forum doesn't seem to address any information for this app. I would hate to see them not continue with development, because it's a decent app.
