Zoom for Android
Have used Tasker for a long time. This is nice to take better advantage of screen territory.
Holy Smokes! Just what I needed. Works great with Tasker by the author of Tasker. Thanks alot!
Crash no matter what I created. Horrible and waste of money.
Crashes any time you make a new widget or template. Out of date UI that doesn't scale to modern higher DPI screens.
To the user below asking about renaming templates: 1. Select a template to start editing it. 2. Press your menu button. 3. Select "Properties". 4. Change your title. 5. Check, check.
This worked flawlessly until recently. I had a Zoom widget that was invisible until Tasker saw no WiFi connection, then the visibility of the widget was enabled through a task. Now, the widget is listed in the active widgets tab inside Zoom, but does not appear on the home screen no matter the WiFi state. I can't delete it from the home screen if it's not there!
I like this app because it has some good options& is easy to customize to make any shortcut (widget) without needing apps like tasker. You can add more than 1 element to a widget so the type of widgets you can make are great but the editing part could be much better. The good part is you can choose icons from apps installed on phone or use your own pictures, you can draw freehand, add switches & custom buttons, change margin & borders sizes..but it's sloppy looking. The elements don't blend & looks juvenile
When I add a Tasker task to my widget I built, it doesnt complete all the steps of the task. But if I create a Tasker widget pointing to the exact same task, the task completes without a hitch. A shame cause the widget was pretty sweet looking and functioned otherwise. Perhaps because the task points to several URL's in Unified Remote....who knows. Tough enough trying to set up Tasker with apps that dont constantly make you doubt your work. Uninstalling but maintaining a backup for the future.
Great app!! One question: It crashes when trying to select an image from local storage for widget. All other methods of setting the icon work fine. What file type do images need to be?
When I make a widget, text items placed via the widget building screen look nothing like the finished widget. Huge font in the builder, makes it very difficult to make accurate widgets because you have to constantly go back to desktop after saving to see how they actually turn out. The widget you see when you try the magnifying glass 'preview' mode looks different again.
As bad as tasker, by the same people, youd have to be a real pratt to want to automate your phone at this level of fiddling. And probably be an S4 owner to boot
Great for Tasker
It lets you combine Tasker into widgets to do things otherwise not possible without custom development. I wish the app would get "finished", but it it works well as is.
Solved problem of tasker shortcut icon not showing on GO Launcher homescreen. I'm happy!
Update: i cant get images to show on homescreen after 6.0 update. Great app. Use it on the daily. One request. Could you add ability to rotate objects? Such as text and photos. Thanks
Please Update its design and graphics. its looking boring
Probably because also updating but who knows
My device is a pan teach preseason it's not working please fix
I really like the flexibility of the UI components I can create with this and the amazing Tasker integration really allows me to do useful things. However since I have a smartwatch, I tend to check my phone less and those widgets have become less useful. There's an app called watchmaker that allows you to create your own watch faces but not graphical components itself except for strings and conditional images. It would be amazing if I could even just see the widgets from this app on my watch.
Since upgrading my s5 to lollipop, the widgets sometimes just disappear. Love the app prior to upgrading and this problem arising. Really allows great customization, especially with Tasker combination.
Great app. Use it on the daily. One request. Could you add ability to rotate objects? Such as text and photos. Thanks
Buy Tasker. Get Zoom. Never require another app again. 10 STARS!! Widgets as beautiful or ugly as u can create.
Awesome
Just stops working after i set all parameters click ok
Not great looking editing UI, a few bugs, but still works better than I thought. (Just pointing this out- if you boot in safe mode, all widgets turn transparent)
Yeah there are plenty of bugs, but what works is more than worth it! Update: Stand by what I said but Zoom has not been updated for >2 years. Try MultiIcon Widget!
I prefer a combo of Make Your Clock Widget and Multicon Widget and maybe Widgetsoid for some similar functionality.
I've been using Zoom for a long time now with Tasker. They're both awesome apps, but the combination makes for some truly powerful personalization possibilities. Limited only by the imagination, as they say.
Great for what it has but it could use more features!
Very limited actions, designs and fonts Uninstalling.
Grate
Yes, it is rather difficult to get started and use, but the idea and the possibilities are just amazing. I started out with a little hand-drawn flashlight widget to toggle the camera LED. So much fun!
I hope you can use your genius mind on this as well. It would be a pleasure to pay for this. But not as it is.
Excellent app with Tasker! could use better font settings w/o having to type html and the color chooser needs some work so it's easier to set white
The interface is impossible to use. Should be updated to work more like scenes from tasker. Overall update is just generally required. Larger stock icon pack would be good. So much potential but crippled at the moment. Not worth the money at the moment!
It's powerful but still some rough edges. Having one font doesn't cut it in an app based around customisation. Still, early days, I can wait. ;)
First Tasker, now this! There is a bit of a learning curve with this application, but the end result is worth it. Another epic app for Android.
Would like update for HTC 4g lte screen so do not have to calibrate each tome phone reboots. Thanks.
With this and tasker you will not need any other apps.
