It has stripes like tv-static. Also, it makes the animations on the homepage go slower. It may be the threshold-filter applied on a resolution that's too high. So maybe if it started out a little rougher around the edges it could run smoother.

I know the app hasn't been updated in years, but it shows weird scanline-like patters on my Nougat device.
