What are users saying about MRU (Most Recently Used)

Using MRU for a 5x1 widget of frequently used apps that shows when I slide the home screen dock to the side. The only thing I really miss is a slider to adjust icon size instead of five preset sizes. Other than that, awesome app!

T70%
by T####:

Really novel idea and executed in an amazing way. Interface to set up is simple and intuitive, the widget is awesome. UPDATE 12/29/2017 Still enjoy this app after years. Only complaint is that I need to reenable custom icons after MRU has an update. Otherwise, it's great!

T70%
by T####:

Works as expected! 5 stars if it could support drop shadow for the icon texts, to keep them readable on transparent background.

T70%
by T####:

No transparent background option

No more updates. Memory hog last time I used this. Will try again on new phone

T70%

Great app! Very convenient.

Huge usage of memory. Simply crapware...

Best app

Abandoned? If not, lack of updates and improvements. Very sad, it was a really good app. Update 08/05/16: I understand that you are a student, but you released an app into the store and this is a commitment. If you have not time to support your app is ok, but for fairness you must write it in the description. In the last week I tried to reuse the app, but it still has problems. in my specific case after some time it freezes and the MRU apps are not updated.

by J####:

I wish it handled labels correctly, truncating them like the OS does. Also I wish there was an option for OS icon size and spacing. The widget cannot be made to sit seamlessly with static icons due to this.

This is the function Samsung doesn't have that Motorola does and I miss it. Ingenious notion: Use an EMA to order the apps. Make the parameters user-adjustable. Great fun to play with.

Title says it all. Great widget, especially combined with pop-up. But drains my battery quite fast.

N70%
by N####:

Would like to toggle background on the notification bar.

W70%
by W####:

I like the app, it'd be useful if not for being the no 1 battery drainer on my stock oos4 OnePlus 3

W70%
by W####:

Only downside is the flicker when it redraws

A70%
by A####:

Would love it if the apps didn't flicker occasionally.

Just upgraded this excellent app to discover that you have removed the Whitelist option. How can I reinstall the previous version please?

N70%

The old bug that broke it before is back. It just displays 4 apps that may or may not have been used recently, for days before changing. I love the idea of this app and I hope this bug gets fixed and stays fixed. I'm on a Motorola Moto X xt1095, and app version 2.2.3.

I70%
by I####:

I just purchased the full version and am not impressed. The widget requires multiple clicks to run the apps it displays, and this only works sometimes. Rather, what usually happens is when you click the app icon you are trying to launch all the icons disappear and then reappear.

One Of My Favorite App. A Must Have App For All My Android Devices

My frequently used list seems to reset occasionally for no apparent reason (Nexus 6p). Otherwise, it seems to work as desired and expected.

(Update: Issue resolved in 2.2.1. That was quick. Kudos!) But why are the labels on the last row of the widget a different colour?

N70%

Looks like all the bugs have been ironed of and it's working well now. Good shortcut creator for my most recently used apps. Thanks dev!

Don't like to have to rate to get rid for good of corresponding popping up invitation and therefore give only mediocre rating.

I like the idea and the implementation, but still need improvements.

Great app

D70%

Love the concept, but this app has issues. The widget stops refreshing after a little while. Resizing it in nova launcher snaps it back to life, but I shouldn't have to do that. The list in the notification shade doesn't have this problem. Very annoying and mostly defeats the purpose. I shouldn't have bought the premium version.

D70%
by D####:

Stopped working since upgrade to Marshmallow on my Moto X Pure. The apps no longer refresh.

I have it on the setting to show the apps that I use for the most time but at some point it just started showing apps that I never use. Some of the apps it shows are apps that I disabled when I first got the phone. Please fix

For the last several updates, it hasn't worked right. It resets and wipes all apps off every day. I have to go in the app drawer to open the app again, it's like this app is defeating it's own purpose. I seem to remember a feature to set history length. Would be great to bring that back. Seems like it's learning ok now, several updates back there were major issues with it showing random apps. This app still has teething issues but it's very promising.

P70%
by P####:

I would like to have one widget showing my most recently used apps and another showing my most used apps of all time.

L70%
by L####:

Great back to being a very useful app. Wondering if the chance to add custom icon images to app icons will be included. I know you can apply icon packs but for icons not included in the pack it looks very different. I usually manually assign icons to apps not included.

D70%
by D####:

Great in theory but it resets overnight and displays apps I never use.
