Black Background

Takes up almost no space, excellent for battery life on Super AMOLED displays. For those who don't know true black on Super AMOLED is actually off so, if you have pure black as a wallpaper and nothing on the homescreen your battery will last substantially longer.

I like this app more than the other, traditional - single colored apps. This app allows you to see what your theme will look like against dark and light gray backgrounds as well. Other than that, I does what its supposed to and works just fine on the Galaxy Nexus. File size is smaller than taking a picture with your phone and using that as your wallpaper.

This is the theme I've been looking for all my life but hear comes the hard part. How can I save the pure black theme and apply it to messaging, I already have a blacked background dialer and blacked keyboard.... I want my entire phone to have a black background. Pity I can't black out Gmail and WhatsApp and Facebook and all. Even my maps are blacked out. So please make some more blacked out apps

using system resources, and blacking out the screen. Simply Google 'HD Black Wallpapers' download to your gallery and apply it. This app uses resources and battery.

Cut off flash cover camera with black electrical tape take picture set as wallpaper takes less memory an no ram space and it's a whole lot easier than trying to go into your settings and find this app ps take a picture you can also send it to your lock screen unlike this app

Is it supposed to change from a black background to a blue one? It keeps doing that on my phone and I'm just wondering if that's supposed to happen.

I mean nothing on the background, keep it clean and saves battery, also the worry of what to put there is gone. Sometimes nothing is better than something

Nice and useful wallpaper. But it download simply on my Samsung A5. There's a separate button that says "set wallpaper". So not as simple as setting other wallpapers.

I have an Samsung Galaxy 3 &_ I've downloaded the alp Battery Doctor & it shows that it draining some energy _ I thought this wall was gonna safe me battery _but just made it worst __ Please Reply .. What do y'all have to say ????????????????

Worlds great. Exactly what I want. A solid black background to save battery by not lighting up the large screen on this phone. My display looks sleek and sexy now.

Absolutely perfect! Nice and clean, I don't need a picture of a mountain, bear, dessert, Vegas or anything else for that matter! Not likely for everyone but I like it clean and to the point.

Great if you have an AMOLED samsung device as it can turn off unused pixels, if you were to just take a photo with the camera blocked you still have noise which means the pixels wont turn off thats where this comes in.

AMOLED screen power saver. Black is screen off! It is extremely light for a so called live wall paper.

Clean and clear jet black background, I installed it, set it and then deleted the app, once it's set as your wallpaper u no longer need to keep the app unless u change to another wallpaper and want black back, mines here to stay, cheers Dev

Just download a picture of the background you want so you don't have even more crap running in the background

What's cooler then an all black background which saves your device battery power. I absolutely love it

Yes, you could take a photo with the lens covered but you could still end up with up to a 4mb picture, this is a few kb, and is very........ Black.

This kind of screens save battery when black is presented. And it's a KISS kinda background

Also the people that say take a picture of your finger over the camera it makes it dark redish

User should have the ability to make the whole interface black (icons, keyboard & dialpad.)

Very simple and Awesome. It is not like the other apps that needs another app to work.

I downloaded this to save power, and I don't like the choices offered by the system. I was able to use it as black wallpaper for the home-screen, but it wasn't offered as a choice for the lock screen or the S-View screen. So then I had the idea to take a picture with my hand over the camera lens, and I got exactly the same thing, which I can use as wallpaper for all screens.

All I wanted was a plain background and thats all I wanted
