Yeelight Blue

A great idea. A brillaint idea. A terrible experience . First of all, the app does not launch first time 100 percent of the time. Maybe, 50 percent? When you launch it, sometimes, some Mandarin (?) language comes up, and the app crashes . This happens a lot. When you do get it to work, but then leave it, and then go back to it, you will find that the app has turned off, and when you go to launch it again, guess what? Yep, back to the Mandarin languge, and the app crashes. The timer rarely rarely works. So, yeah, not impressed, and I don't believe that there have been many updates at all. Is anyone at yeelight trying to sort out these major issues? It doesn't appear so. Very very disappointed. The frustrating thing is, when it does work, I love it. It just doesn't work, often enough (Hell, it should work all the time!) Using Moto Z Nougat, and xperia Z4 tablet Marshmallow

The app works great on iOS so why is it so crappy on android? Doesn't make sense. My £40 bulb that I loved is now pretty much useless because of this app grrrrr

Worst app ever will not let you control the light stuck with on low colour that low you can't see can't switch it on or off either will just wait for my alexa bulb to come thought I was being smart getting this because it was a bit cheaper but no use if it does not work

App doesn't work most of the time. It's frustrating and some features like flow don't work at all.

Ki hate this app as it wont let me change my brightness on the app only works changing the colour tryed reinstalling app too but no luck i have a lg g6.

I think there is potential in this app but it just wont find my Yeelight LED strip. So as of right now, this app is useless.

Used to work perfectly on my ios, im using this app on my samsung S7, same bulb. The colour and regular mode works fine but i can't seem to get the flowing mode to work.

Amazing all you have to do is disconnect and connect again and it work very well.

When I read the reviews I thought the bulbs couldn't be that bad but I was wrong. The app simply does not work. You can set a colour but have to spam hit the screen to get all the bulbs to change. Same with dimmer. Flowing function just does not work at all. Party mode is great if you want the bulbs to flash once every 8 seconds hardly a party. I'll eat my shoe if you get the millions of colours they promise timer is impossible to get up. Power button does not work unless you spam hit it too. Just crap

Its funny that you only have one option for settings the same timer for ON/OFF we need different timing for both! It also delay a few second when switching on and off which is very annoying!!!! Update the firmware or litigation on the horizon!!

The yeelight could be really good. The hardware is in place but it's totally let down by buggy software with limited features. Only one timer that can do on or off... No ability to edit or delete presets... And lots of smaller issues. Disappointing. Persistent notification should only appear when in range of a bulb.

It's great when it works takes ages for Bluetooth to find it never stays on colour I choose when turned off always goes back to white very annoying

App is sometimes working, but not very well. Lot of features missing especially you it cannot remember dimm and color, I'd you use power switch instead of sw. switch in app.

App needs to be improve..nothing is working properly..iota lite is much better than yeelight...need some reply from yeelight team

I don't know why other people said it's bad but my one works really great! I'm happy with the product

This feature is the most eagerly awaited feature and no sign of it yet. When can we see this in action? Also we should have an option to set it to on and off at different time.

Unfortunately the app ruins an otherwise fine product, it crashes constantly, loses connection regularly and you need to open close the app repeatedly to regain connection.

The app works, its just a bit laggy and takes some getting used to.

Can't establish a connection with the bulb at all. Seems cool in theory, but doesn't work in practice.

It works for me, very few crashes or problems, maybe because I have a xiaomi phone.

Does what I expect. I can turn stripes on and off, change colour etc. Yes I would like more function but happy as is.

Fantastic light totally ruined by very poor app

The Ios version is excellent please atleast make the Android Version stable

I thought it was great to start with but soon found out that the phone would not respond with the bulb. I had to keep unloading the software and try to connect again. Sadly fed up with it now and sending it back. Will try to get a better one from another company. Would not recomended the Yeelight :-(

Make some kind of power off button for the app instead me having to go to setting, apps, find the app and force terminate it. When I'm away from home during the day. Also when app crashes it saids something in Chinese.

Very buggy app. If you have multiple bulbs t can't seem to always control the bulb. You can't turn off the persistent notification and the app will sometimes say the bulbs offline when they're not.

The bulb itself is great but as others have said the app is appauling. Its constantly disconnecting and having to reconnect or install app, the power button inside doesn't work have to use the widget and cannot get the timer to boot. Seems like the power button does not work on my device at all(LG G3). Overall a good product let down by poor software.

I had this app on my iPhone worked fine but on my galaxy s6 edge the on off button doesn't work at all I'm not sure if I'm the only one.

Notorious crashes when app starts. Disco mode doesn't sync with music like it should - delays, sometimes stopping. U can only set one action for switching bulb on/off. If you wake up at same time you have to always set it up.... and many other problems...like no full control over colors...I don't recommend you to buy it

Needs to connect to Mi account and be able to operate as a part of Mi Smart Home. Currently - waste of money.

Constantly drops BT connection, no pleasure in usage.

It is just an expensive light bulb which controlled by APP, APPable.... Accidentally ordered this and regret very much, will give Xiaomi version a shot as I have more faith with Xiaomi.

Does not even work chances are 1 in 50 of it even working and of it does open then inside u can't do half of the stuff. They claim to have 16 million colours but only have like 50
