VCSO Icon Theme (NOVA, APEX,…)

Hey there!

Glad you came across my icon theme! VCSO is a high quality & future proof (up to 512x512px) icon-set for most modern Launchers (Nova, APEX, etc.) based on the aesthetics of the famous VSCO filters by Visual Supply Co. and a whole other idea of how themes can be built.

Preamble

This is the very first version of the VCSO icon theme, so be aware that it is still very limited. However, even with upcoming updates the main motivation behind VCSO remains uniqueness, rather than quantity. Please don't expect icons to come in bulk, but rather in beauty.

"So, what's so special with this icon theme anyway?"

Unlike other icon themes on Android, which are mostly dull sets of logos placed on top of a variously coloured or patterned base shapes, to speak frankly, VCSO was born with the idea of a truly unique set of icons in mind. Every background photo that was used on the icons was shot on my own, during my travel around the world. Hence, each of the photo-icons tells an own exciting story. The photos picked for each of the icons weren't planned and shot for exactly that purpose, neither were they just some stock photography from the internet – and yet, they complement the app the icon stands for nonetheless.

"Why VCSO? Trying to copycat or something?"

I picked "VCSO" as name as all my photographs are post-processed using the brilliant VSCO filters for Lightroom, giving them the typical elegant and refined aesthetics. I really hope the Visual Supply people don't mind, as I only meant to compliment their great work. :-)
