AMOLED Burn-in Fixer for Android
By using this app you are guaranteed to wear only the status bar and/or navigation bar so the effects of burn-in should be reduced.
This app contains a link to your Android's accessibility options, where you are instructed to enable inverted colors. This done, you then touch "hide settings" & - wait for it - nothing. But hey, now I know how to make my phone look like the Tales From the Darkside intro, so that's cool.
It 100% will fix or reduce the effects of a burnt in AMOLED display, used this on my Nexus 6 to reduce the effects and now using it on my pixel XL before I see the effects of unused pixels. Only recommendation to developer would be a setting to automatically run the app at the users chosen time so it can run for eg. 2 hours from 3am-5am without having to wake up and Manually turn this on.
AMOLED panels scare me because of this issue, I much prefer LCD's and their "less acurate" colors. Anyway I read about this app via an article on G+. I can't remember the publisher of the article but I decided to download the app. I don't have screen burn issues on my Nexus 6. I mostly use this app as maintenance. I run it for about 10 minutes every few days to prevent burn in of my Nav or Status bar. Works great
Was a bit skeptical but tried it anyways. I left it on with max brightness for a week when going to sleep. It eliminated the burn in from the navigation bar, I use LMT so I immediately saw the burn in. It slowly got rid of it and now its not an eyesore! A BIG THANK YOU for this app.
Does work on amoled. The only app on the play store that understand the whole idea of uneven wear. This app fixed this wear. Almost 2 years of wear fixed by leaving the screen on while recharging at night, fixed it in about 3 weeks. This takes time people. As it took almost 1 year of my screen to show wear. Be patient. Like I said... 2 years of wear fixed in about 3 weeks. Definitely worth it. If u think that burn in will fix it self in 12 hours, you really don't understand amoleds and how they Work
Only complaint is that there arent options besides the nav bar really. I had a pretty bad burn of my keyboard so i took a screenshot of it and colored out the rest of the screen, left it on full brightness for maybe 7minutes, totally gone.
I try to find on how to fix the burn in on my phone, i try some apps and fixer on youtube but it became worse, i try this app and it only takes a few minutes and it's now okay hehe thanks!
But this app does what it says. Follow the steps and you'll have the problem fixed. Good job to the developers.
All this app does is lead you to the place in your own phone to reverse the colors. That means it's going to burn MORE in the places where it wasn't burned, and burn LESS in the places it has already burned. There's nothing magic going on -- it is simply burning your screen more so you don't see those pesky lines. It's not actually "fixing" anything.
Really, all it does is help damage the parts of your screen that aren't damaged to match the rest of it. It's not a magic potion, and it doesn't "fix" it per sè, it's simple physics.
Apparently the type of screen burn I got , this app can't fix it , we'll maybe not fix it but was hoping it would fade a bit but oh well was worth a try.
I'm actually impressed by this app! I noticed slight burn-in on the bottom of my N6 display (caused by the navigation bar) so I decided to download this app! And wow! Resolved!
I really didn't understand what is was asking me to do due to the lack of instructions on the app. A help menu would make this a 5 star app
What is this supposed to do? I can go to the settings link to invert colors, but if I start testing it just shows a white screen and the black status bar and stays there. I'm using an s6
Had slight burn in from the nav bar on my Nexus 6 and this made it better. Not 100% but I really have to look hard now for the ghosting
Rubbish app. Didn't fix anything and have no idea what's going on
worked on my minote lte, but the tutorial of using this app is confusing...
Amazing app, simple and straight to the point. Works well and requires no permissions to install, much respect to this developer!
Lack of info on this app seems to be hindering it do i leave it on negative mode at main menu or do i click on hide settings and leave it on the black screen plz help
I wasn't noticing any burn ins on my 2 day old nexus 6p.. I just wanted to check and there was a little burn in.. But this app made that disappear..!
I was skeptical, but figured I'd run it overnight anyway on my Moto X. Not a single hint of screen burn in. That's pretty neat. Thank you!
Noticed a ghost image when i opened other apps. Googled how to fix. This was a suggested app. And it totally works. Phone - LG V10
This app actually removed (yes removed) the burn ins from my nexus 6 completely. Wow, I thought my phone was done. Just ran the app for a little over an hour and it was like a magic wand. Props to the devs. Thank you for saving my phone. I sincerely appreciate it.
It only works on screens with image retention. It does absolutely nothing for screens with real burn-in issues.
Thank for this app.It helped get rid of burn in problem in moto g4 plus
Tried it on my one s neva worked but worked flawlessly on my s4, i wldve paid for this app
One app I'm glad to have around, but hope I rarely have to use!
Found this in the recommendation part of the play store and tried it out on my week old Nexus 6p. I keep the brightness pretty low and use Lux to control it dynamically, but to my surprise there was some slight navigation bar burn-in. I used this app for a few minutes and it removed the issue. Now, I'm not sure if it fixed it or if it just evened out the burn-in, but I can't see the nav in the test now.
Would be nice if it could automatically invert colors from the app, but really not a big deal. Still a 5/5. It's nice that such a simple app still looks good, too.
Needs some patience, but this simple solution really seems to work. Thank you.
So if your notification bar is brighter than main screen what one do you go for? White or black notification bar?
Amazing app, simple and straight to the point. Works well and requires no permissions to install, much respect to this developer!
Didn't work for the Super AMOLED on my Galaxy S4 GPe
MY Galaxy S5 Screen always Shutters at low brightness now its gone tnx to this app
9 hour in my phone and nothing else
I wasn't expecting much but it does it's job well :) good job! :D
Nice work man. And the app does work easy and simple. I used it on a 3 week old nexus 6 yeah only 3 weeks old bought it new so the panels are rubbish but this fixed it. From now on i will do it once a week for 10 mins and it should be like nothing ever happened.
Doesn't work after 48 hours
True life saver. I love my Nexus 6, but it's really bothering me there's a little burn-in after a few days. This fixed it like a champ!
