About GQueues DashClock Extension
This is a GQueues extension for DashClock.
DashClock Widget by Roman Nurik is required to use this extension (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nurik.roman.dashclock&hl=en)
The extension simply shows the number of due GQueues tasks for today.
It works by querying the Calendar API on Android, and looking for events on the GQueues calendar for today only.
Until a GQueues API is available, this seems the only realistic way to implement a DashClock extension.
There are some limitations with this implementation method
- Its not possible to configure to display only tasks from a set of defined Queues - its all or nothing
- Its not possible to launch the app and be taken directly to the due today view in GQueues (the app just opens at the default main activity page)
Pre-requisites:
- You must have DashClock installed
- You must have enabled GQueues Google Calendar integration
- The GQueues Google Calendar must be visible on your device
- The GQueues app must be installed if you want to open it when clicking on the due today tasks.
The GQueues App can be downloaded here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gqueues.android.app&hl=en_GB
This extension requires permissions to read your calendar as reading the GQueues calendar is the only way to access GQueues tasks.
