أول ما على السيّدة القيام به هو عقد النية (نية الوضوء)، ثمّ قراءة البسملة (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم). غسل الكفّين ثلاث مرات. مضمضة الفم بالماء وإخراجه ثلاث مرّات (أي غسل الفم بالماء). الاستنشاق؛ بأن تضع الماء بالكفّ ومنه إلى الأنف بالتنفس، ثمّ الاستنشاق، ومن السنّة المبالغة بالاستنشاق إلّا للصائمة. غسل الوجه ثلاث مرّات على أن تبدأ من منبت الشعر في الناصية وحتى أسفل الذقن. غسل الذراعين من الكف حتى المرفقين ثلاث مرات.
