About Anker - Website to App

What does "Anker" do?

Well, it is a website-wrapper / lite-app-creator / web-app-shortcut.

Basically it creates a link to a website which, once you open it, acts like a normal android application.
That way you can have a very small Facebook app, a battery friendly Twitter app and more from just using the Anker. And due to multi-window support and free-to-choose icon packs one won't even notice that you don't have those bulky normal apps installed.

The app launches websites upon hitting c "Create shortcut" but no link is added to home screen, app drawer, or widget tray. I've tested with multiple launchers but I'm not sure how to actually make persist shortcuts. The idea is wonderful though I'd love to see an update. - using 8.1 beta

Ha, just what I was looking for. I was almost considering writing an app like this, now I don't have to. Feature request : can you add an option to use an existing picture on the device as icon? Or choose one from a google image search based on the name given to the shortcut. That would be awesome! Thanks for the great work!

Great job! It would be helpfull if you can add Reload button on Web page not available error page. Thanks for adding Reload feature. It would be nice if you can prevent app shortcut name and icon change to default after every Anker update. Best regards!

Works as advertised, however it places apps on the homescreen not in the launcher. This is unfortunate as for example several app locker applications do not work like that. Additionally of course you have to keep them on the homescreen or they're gone.

Update is great, thank you very much! Just about perfect for making simple clean apps from websites. Fast, lightweight, and straightforward to use.
