Ticklr - Ticker notifications for Android
This app is fantastic! I use the Sound Profile + volume schedule app where exceptions are dependent on scrolling notifications so this app allows me to use my profile app again! Don't know why android removed scrolling notifications. No reason for me to buy the premium version but I'm buying it strictly to support the developers. Keep up the good work. UPDATE: App does crash from time to time. Support requests go unanswered. App may not be supported /updated anymore.
I'd always been annoyed by heads-up notifications but no other app I'd found prior to this had been able to perform kitkat's ticker notifications as well as this one has. Thanks for the great app!
Works well when it does work, but I keep getting notifications even after I've dismissed them. For example, I have Hangouts on my computer and my phone. If I'm away and get a message, my phone gets a notification. If I respond to the message on my computer, the phone notification goes away... but if I turn on my phone later, it'll still insist on displaying the notification. Sometimes it'll even be a whole string of old notifications. Really annoying. It's still better than heads-up notifications, but I'll keep looking for another app (heads-off was perfect, until I upgraded Android versions!).
Each notification comes up about ten times and it's very irritating. Other than that it works fine
Brings back old ticker and so far so good. Quite reliable and stable. Might take more work to get it run the way you want it on Android M since it can't disable global heads up. Pro version costs too much IMO for an app like this and with very little feature added. Other apps I paid before costs about the same and do a hell lot more stuff. Other than that it is very good non-intrusive alternative for bringing back ticker notifications.
So this app has been my saving grace, I was so sick of the headache each notification gave me when it covered half my screen. Only problem is with the samsung software update it stopped working!!! How do I fix it?
No complaints. How do I know it's great? Because I forget it's even an app and feel like it's part of my phone. Love it
Opened the app. Used for 30 seconds. Came here to give 5 stars... Great app.. best alternative to heads up notifications and more productive method.
sometimes it hangs on the same notification, and that drains the battery. please fix, otherwise perfect.
Live the idea... But Crashes multiple times a day
The best app ever . But on marsmallow you need to disable preview in pop up on the notification setting.
Its almost 2017 guys :( this is tooo late
Not working in Nougat !!!!
Has not been updated in over a year.
Where do I disable 'allow peeking' in Nougat?
Certainly much better than heads up
worth it now i can play games n watch youtube without a problem
Not working in Android Nougat
Worked well before, doesn't seem to work on Nougat
When uploading multiple photos to Dropbox, phone goes bonkers and locks up. Heats up to 113°F. Only way to fix is to reboot. OnePlus One. Exodus 5.1.1
Sometimes shows a blank notification with the old style. Sometimes repeats notifications.
Just what I was looking for!
I missed the old style notification in android and although other apps do the ticker this masters them. Every app I use come through the ticker and I can easily turn Heads Up off. Sometimes doesn't have the app icon but not a big deal. Now if you could just find a way to integrate into Galaxy S7 AOD thsts be good.

Does anyone get multiple or double repeated notifications. It seems to keep running through all the notifications and won't go away till you have gone thorough each one.. Other the that great app!
If I get more than 1 message from Textra, the notification will just say "x number of unread messages" instead of scrolling through the new message. Is there a setting to change that or is it something that you can add. Thanks
There seems to be an issue showing ticker updates with messenger unless the app is open (messenger). Only issue I've found so far. Keep up the good work

After upgrading to marshmallow it has stopped working, neither any instructions provided, sad
"Wake the screen" doesn't work.
Heads up notification still shows
Shows every single notification on WhatsApp. If I have 300 messages, it'll scroll through every single one of them.
Certainly much better than heads up
Works perfectly on HTC One m9.
At first it finished with the notifications but then came up that white line with a 'T' i dislike it i wanted something that would not disturb as that Android notifications
It worked beautifully with Marshmallow but unfortunately there's no individual toggle for peeking itself anymore. It's either all or nothing. Nexus 6P
It just stopped working out of no where.
When facebook notifications come in, ticklr is turning on my darkened screen, which is a problem at night when I am sleeping. Is there a way to prevent this? The only time default heads-up notifications turn on the screen is when a text or call comes in, and that is how I want it to be with ticklr

It's a good start to bringing back the scrolling notification bar but it lacks some of the great features like the ability to fast launch a reply by launching the texting app with a tap to the notification and if you receive a second notification it's just states who it's from not the message. Otherwise it seems stable & semi useful. Just wondering what makes the pro worth its current value and if the dev is still working on this. With more development this would easily be well worth the $$ and 5 stars.
