QuickShortcutMaker for Android
How easy is this? If you are always waiting on developers to make little changes to their apps so that you can get to a specific part of an app, do so no more. This very simple and nicely laid out tool gets you to the things you use most in an app. Perfect!
This is a very handy application. Would you consider doing a version for Android TV leanback launcher banner support? There are a lot of android applications that work well on Android TV if side loaded. Unfortunately, Many authors don't want to go thru the certification process with Google to get the app recognized in playstore. As a result, to use non ATV app on android TV alternate launchers are required to make the apps visible. A tool like this to be able to insert the png banner 320x180 would be a big hit. Also to be able to take advantage of shortcut makers features with supported ATV apps would be the icing on the cake. This is an app I would pay for. Currently, QSM cannot create desktop banners or icons on ATV leanback devices nor do the shortcuts show up in alternate launchers that are supported on ATV.
I can see apps' icons, change their labels, etc - but the changes won't stick. I thought the app should create a new icon on the home screen with the desired label, but no. Nothing happens whatsoever. Android 5.0 nonrooted.
Search actually doesn't work. And you can't add needed info like URLs to chosen activities. It has a use or few, but not what I needed. Google, how should I know if it makes watch faces? You should know I don't have a smart watch, at least not with an account connected to this one.
THIS APP CURED MY ERTILE DYSFUNCTIONAL!! I actually came just a little by the time i had finished making my 4th shortcut. I had not had an errection in 15 years an now my wife can barely walk I'm hitting that peach so hard. Thank you QuickShortcutMaker! You've changed my life forever!
Does exactly what it says. Had some apps with long words/names that scrolled letters to a 2nd line and it looked bad. Now I can customise those app names to separate or short form the words and it looks much better. Thanks guys.
Some android system utilities are more trouble than they are worth. QuickShortcutMaker is NOT one of those! I have spent about 2 minutes so far configuring it and now can get to the Call Reject menu Verizon hides on my LG G4. I look forward to finding more useful shortcuts.
Helps the custom rom users who sometimes don't have the sim toolkit application it helps them create one quick shortcut on the desktop. This is just but one in so many features bundled up with this application. Thank you, and let us prepare the way for the LORD JESUS in repentance, Holiness and Righteousness, with the daily observance of preparing to enter the Kingdom of GOD JEHOVAH. 1thess 4:16-20 1cor 15:50-52. Blessings .
It's very usefully to go fast wherever you want without opening an app, search and select desired point; just create the shortcut. Can select a desired icon from an external icon pack (not incuded). I like to see a light option for interface too. Only one problem, icons are enlarged and croped and that change their aspect.
I needed to be able to customize which calls would come through like the old Blocking Mode allowed. The new "Do not disturb" mode only allowed you to choose all or favorites. I need to be able to hand select a few people and that sometimes changes. This app allowed me to find the built in blocking mode and use it! Thank you.
Have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that updated to android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) and used this to make a shortcut for call blocking. Since the update, the shortcut no longer works. CONTACTED DEVELOPER WITH NO REPLY. I HAVE SINCE WENT TO A DIFFERENT APP THAT WORKS FLAWLESSLY!!!
Clock icon disappeared after removing sense and/ or blink feed. This app allows you to create a shortcut on your home page for any Android service! what a hero! Works on s6 well. I wanted a shortcut to battery usage in settings And it works like a charm! Time to donate!
At&t hides some programs on my HTC One M8, like Car Mode. This digs them out very easily. Only complaint is that the shortcuts occasionally disappear. Though that may be my phone, or at&t's settings taking over. Not a big deal since it's so easy to recreate the shortcut. All in all, great app
Thank you dev for making app free with no unnecessary permissions and most importantly no ads. Excellent work
Works perfectly for creating shortcuts to activities like opening the battery usage screen, opening the dictionary widget, etc. Doesn't work when the activity requires an input argument. For example, I tried to create my own direct dial shortcut, and there was no option to include the contact that the shortcut should dial. Hence, the shortcut crashed.
Why isn't this an app included with all the bloated extras they force on our phones. Downloaded in 5 seconds. Easy to follow setup and search. Found the path I wanted. Named it what I wanted (asks you to do this). Picked icon I wanted (asks you to do this). Now I have a silly looking icon I call cache cleaner that takes me a step away from cleaning my entire phones cache. This is awesome!!!! Thanks for this app!! You rocked it!
Fantastic app for making customized shortcuts! I don't like text on my home screens, so I rely on this app to scrub app names. Unfortunately, it doesn't find the standard start up 'activity' for all apps (Google authenticator and Wikipedia beta for example). Also, you can't access the system icon list by default (don't actually know if this is possible without preload, but would be a nice touch). Overall, I've been thrilled with this app's capabilities and whole heartedly recommend it.
I love apps like this that really do what they are supposed to and do it well! The ability to preview the shortcut before creating it shows the developer carefully thought about the app's interface – many developers forget about simple but yet useful things like that. About the shortcuts, I find them especially useful to skip useless splash screens that are found in some apps – banking apps in particular.
I linked a shortcut to the app manager in about 10 seconds, so it's very easy to use. Just make sure your linked activity actually says "activity" at the end of the file name (fairly obvious advice).
I have only just started using this app, but it was easy to create a shortcut to apps. I use this a lot to kill apps and to uninstall apps that I try out. It's great to have a shortcut to get there without having to go through the navigation tree.
I'm too lazy to get a launcher, after all I want my icons pixel perfect! I create them on my own paint app, but the problem is they don't have any transparency! Let the app support STAMP or PNG files that have transparency! @-@
Have you ever been frustrated with your phone turning on in your pocket? Do you have an lg? Can you not find out how to turn it off? Then this is the app for you! Simply download it type knock on in the shortcut creator and when it suggests a shortcut called settings make it and you can disable the double tap on feature!
Was looking for an app that would let me for instance take me to the place where I can turn on/off my data option instead of going to settings, data usage, data settings etc. That's just one example. Overall looks like a good app for everything else.
Works as described with all the features you need or expect. Don't say this very often about an app but, it needs no improvement. Thats saying a lot from me. I'm very picky and pessimistic about my apps.
Been using this for a long time and still can't find another shortcut maker that can dig up all the hidden app activities etc. this can. Just be careful most of those activities are hidden for a good reason and might cause instabilities launched away from the original app's launch.
This helped me a lot on my g4. The knock on screen was driving me nuts and calling 911 while i carried my phone so i had to get it turned off. This app made it easy to find! Highly recommend.
Some android system utilities are more trouble than they are worth. QuickShortcutMaker is NOT one of those! I have spent about 2 minutes so far configuring it and now can get to the Call Reject menu Verizon hides on my LG G4. I look forward to finding more useful shortcuts.
I don't usually give reviews, but this app can create just about any shortcut you can think of...not just shortcuts to apps or widgets, but shortcuts to activities within applications. I made a shortcut to the developer options, just had to find it in the list of activities.
Finally! I can shortcut to my storage settings. No more digging to clear temporary caches when I'm updating/installing large apps. Goes a long way towards bridging the gap between your old phone's abilities vs new one's inexplicable lack of certain ones. Also, whatever fanciful shortcuts your whimsy whips up!
I needed to launch an activity with no app drawer icon, but when I used a different app, it would crash. This app is perfect. The only issue is that when I try to change icons for phone or messaging, unread counts don't work.
Amazing that the app lets you create a shortcut for almost everything that may which is hidden or something. I couldn't find my Dolby audio on my leEco le 2.. but using this app, I could easily create a shortcut.. great experience :)
Took a minute or two to figure it out, then had my shortcut. Sure there are a few more features to discover. Get it! If you don't need it now, you WILL one day!
Thank goodness for this app. I got my s7 and my gear vr showed up after I left for work out of state. There was no way of making it hone before the download time expired, and I was able to trick my device to think that the gear vr was attached by activating the app via the try function. Thanks a billion.
It's made for elderly folks that don't know the grasp of technology. It just makes a shortcut as you would do just by selecting> holding> then placing it on your home.
Let the user paste a URL, the app finds page icons, the user types the shortcut name and the app creates a shortcut. None of browsers I've used can create proper shortcuts. If the icon is ok, I cannot name it. If I can name, the icon is too small and most browsers create shortcuts associated with the app, no choice to "open with". I do not use bookmarks.
Shortcut just takes you to all apps and not running services. As you are aware we currently have to go through Dev options to access running services as if Google want to hide it. Please try to make actual running services a shortcut possibility, thank you.
Still works like a charm even for lollipop. Even though last update date was Feb 2014. It has search. Most apps don't, hence I need to build my own.
Very useful for changing app icons, if a bit of a learning curve. Alas I don't seem to be able to change a widget, although it appears in the list, perhaps I need to play around more.
Awesome but don't mess w/ stuff u don't understand, u might turn ur phone into a pulsar

Finally I found an app that can rename the home screen icon labels, AND remembers them on reboot. It may take a few tries to find the right link to make the shortcut to. If choosing the app name didn't work, use the other list and expand the app's links. Look for one that seems most likely - usually ending with "activity". Does not work on all apps that are on the external SD card. On reboot, some of the shortcuts for them disappeared completely. Otherwise a great app - especially for free!
