No Wallpaper for Android
Good I like different with other because it is'n to add icon in the menu but immediately merge in the choice of the wallpaper default my phone, so more simple ::)
Works perfectly, have used this on note 4, Zenfone 2, Moto x play 2015, ZMAX pro, note 3, and others. At 88kb internal memory usage size this is probably the smallest wallpaper app download on the app store. Works perfectly. Also a bonus its free. Should be a native app available on all Android phones Thanks
Less battery drain… good for those having an eye problem , easy to see those icons..
OH MY FREKEN GOODNESS. SAVES MY BATTERY BY LIKE 40%!!! WTH I LOVE THIS APP AND I RECOMMEND IT. I HAVE AN LG G3 AND THIS APP MADE ME LOVE MY PHONE ALOT MORE.
I know dark wallpapers consumes less battery seems that the size of z wp gets in z equation too!!,now no wallpaper that's news!, So Loaded the 5kb app, used it as a wp, screenshot it on page with no apps (2.71kb), used the no wallpaper wallpaper as wallpaper, uninstalling in a few (smone said the app consumes 3.3mb memory) We dont want losing memory while saving batt. We want Win/Win situation even for dev with half a million DL for a black app. P.S even with the screenshot as wp phone looks like its on OFF
Just cover your camera and take a picture, then you have a black wallpaper and no need to download this app. Seriously people use your brain!
Hi, just wanted to say ty for putting this up. I've been using it on a couple phones for a while now, and appreciate it's quiet simplicity and power conserving ability.
Black wall paper. Installed on all of my devices and as a prank I install it on any device I touch
Isn't it odd that you need an application in order to have no background on your main screen? You would have thought that would have been in the top 5 things to include when making a cell phone....
no matter how small (5mb on my M8). Simply Google 'HD Black Wallpapers' download the image to your gallery and install it from there. All the while not using system resources. This app runs a live wallpaper that is blacked out. Doesn't make sense. All this does is use your battery.
Those saying "just use a black static image," should realize not everyone will be able to do such. I can't because for some reason my Galaxy Tab S on Lollipop (doesn't happen on KitKat), any black image produces grey bars at the top and bottom. Using this "live" wallpaper I don't get that issue. And; seeing as how my device has an OLED display, this app is a battery saver!
The Google white interface causes too much battery drain on devices with amoled display and many pixels like the Nexus 6. This app helps to reduce that drain.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active after update to Android 5.1.1. Very unhappy now, been using this for many years.
This is the lightest blank wallpaper app on the market at 5 KILObytes (not megabytes, as one reviewer states). You can easily create a 1-pixel black image and use it as wallpaper but you'll have to manually browse to it. As a Live Wallpaper, it's automatically visible to the necessary parts of the OS and there is nothing in the launcher or storage to worry about. This is the most hassle free method to get black wallpaper. Just install the APK and choose it from Display settings.
Although I was using this app with other phones, it is not compatible with Alcatel 6012X, Firmware 4.2.2, Build 010 02. After applying No wallpaper, as soon as first reboot, phone can't boot again, it is stuck in boot loop. I had to enter into recovery menu, to wipe data/factory (factory reset). I did that 5 times and cause is exactly pinned to this application, for which I am sorry because it works goods on other phones.
My Galaxy S5 battery actually turned out to be longer lasting quite a bit. Simple app, just plain black (NOT a Live Wallpaper like many others!!). Exactly what I'm looking for!
Saved my sanity & now chicks are on my jock like I'm a rock & roll star! Thank you for making this & keeping it free!
A must have wallpaper plain and simple. For greater effect down load the transparent digital clock and you'll be amazed with the black and white effect. 10/10
Works great, low display drain on battery too.
The best app ever I was looking for. Practically it has a black background and nothing else which saves battery consumption. The all other live and home screen wall papers simply drains lot of battery.
Saving battry and make your device last more longer
No-frills black wallpaper - just as it should be.
Never crashes. BEST WALLPAPER EVER! (Not being scarcastic!)
No wallpaper comes up when I apply it!!! PLS FIX! LOL
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Solid black. No requests to change permissions on the nexus 5 I'm using. So thanks and let's see how much battery will be saved?
This is a good wallpaper for my Samsung Galaxy S5 because of the AMOLED display which makes it so that if the screen is black the screen is not using energy, even if the phone is still on.
Is small file size but takes up 3.3 MB of memory. That's too much ram being taken up for a program that does almost nothing.
EZ to read; no battery drain! Does this make me famous?
Perfect, if you have an OLED display it also saves battery power...
Well I like it too... it's just a black background that I think it enhances one's icon in color. Think what the world would be with out the color black...
I want a black screen. Saves battery & doors not interfere with app icons. I have no interest in all the silly colours & pics -well except the picture of the Lambo Gallardo that looks good in front of this...
There's a difference between "Black wallpaper" and "No wallpaper". At 5.83kb, you have virtually "nothing" at home screen, which saves resources and is sight friendly. Even as a "live wallpaper" (why?) you simply can't get lighter and as black as this. It will be great to be able to set this "No wallpaper" as lockscreen as well
It does not work on my MX-III streaming box
At least on Samsung Note 2 Kit Kat
ok I have 50 MB/s (NOT mbps, I know the difference) Internet download speed on average from servers in the US to servers in Russia and China. It took this 5.83kb app 2 hours to download, almost exactly. I saw the blue bar move up ever so slightly every couple seconds (about 7-10). I don't know what happened but it took my friend on a separate 35Mb/s Internet speed even longer = 4 hours. Honestly I don't know why I waited to see.. Curiosity probably. So much for light and simple.
This is the lightest blank wallpaper app on the market at 5 KILObytes (not megabytes, as one reviewer states). Even snapping a pic with the camera and flash covered is not likely to create a picture file much smaller than this and with some camera chips and apps, the resulting file could turn out much larger. Even if you get a smaller picture file somehow, you still have to browse for it. This app is tiny and simpler than any other option and easier to migrate to your next phone.
This app ia good, but 1 thing, when i change to no wallpaper... When i open display on settings... My settings would crash and closed fix this plz
Been using it for years. On 2 phones now. Love the simplicity. Looks pissa!
Just take a picture with the flash off and cam covered .go to your photos ,set as wall paper .that has increased my battery life dramatically ..this app is pointless .

Maybe be this is an answer to my problem. Uses very little memory & I have strange fascination for nothingness.
