Poolpaper Water Live Wallpaper

Water themed interactive live wallpaper showing beautiful 3D swimming pool animation. You can touch the screen to splash drops into the water or drive waves through it with a swipe. Needs OpenGL ES 2.0.

This is the only live wallpaper that actually simulates all the mechanics and optics of water in real time.

If you set the water to move very slowly you can make huge waves and control them accurately.

Settings are in the app tray, i.e., the button that shows every app on the phone.

Custom images are in the pipeline.

The wallpaper reacts to swipes by changing the angle of viewing. A vertical swipe positions the viewpoint right above the pool or close to the water surface. Horizontal swipes rotate the viewer around the pool, zooming in and out to account for the corners. The settings allow the user to edit the colours of the ambient reflections and background, under water lighting level, caustics contrast, blueness of water, wave speed, touch-splash sensitivity, wave decay rate, rain intensity, perspective (i.e. fisheye or long lens view), and magnification.

There are also presets for all these settings with cheerful, moonlight and apocalypse colour schemes, and peaceful, realistic, stormy and surreal dynamics.

The pool floor shows a Roman mosaic entitled "Triumph of Neptune" from La Chebba, Tunisia, 2nd Centruy A.D. This is probably the finest mosaic ever constructed. The four female figures in the corners depict the seasons and are surrounded by scenes of seasonal farming activities. The original mosaic is 34 x 44ft.
