- Built-in photo cropping and rotating
- Free zooming mode for viewing photos with intuitive gestures (e.g. pinch to zoom for Android 2.0 or higher)
- Four different widget sizes: 2x2, 2x4, 4x2, 4x4

How to use:

This is a widget for your homescreen (desktop). To use it, please follow these simple steps.

For newer versions of Android (e.g. 4.0), you may drag and drop a Nice Simple Photo item from the Widgets tab of your app list to the home screen. You may refer to this demonstration video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXAWx7gsJ-o

For older versions (e.g. 2.3.3) you can long press (i.e. tap and hold) on any empty space on your home screen, then select Widgets and choose a Nice Simple Photo item.

Different items correspond to different widget sizes.

Tapping the widget will open the configuration screen. You can configure the widget and browse the photos which are in the same directory of the currently selected photo there. You can add more than one "Nice Simple Photo Widget" to your home screen and each of them can have its own unique appearance settings.

*NOTE* If the photo does not update properly, please exclude this widget from any task killer app that you might be using. You can also try to remove this widget from your homescreen and add it back again, and see if it solves the problem.

I needed a photo frame widget for Android 6.0 on my LG G3 and this one not only gave me a ridiculous amount of custom options. It covered every option I wished I'd had on the photo frame widget on my old phone. I even came across a few I hadn't thought of that were also great ideas! The best part is it runs flawlessly on my Android 6.0 LG G3. ^o^

It's a good widget! The basic functions I wanted are all here. I just wish that the crop function worked for multiple photos. I assume there is some underlying technical reason that you can't apply a crop to multiple pictures, which is understandable. If it's not TOO much of a pain to allow cropping for multiple photos I will give five stars. Make no mistake though, this app is perfect and just missing an extra feature that would be nice to have. As a photo slideshow widget, it is perfect and flawless.

4x4 mode really isn't. It doesn't fill the screen. It's really more like 4x3. Picture should fill the screen o.n 4x4 mode. Selecting white as the frame color will change to black. Selecting a photo directory needs to actually show the photos not give a full directory of the entire phone contents. It's the wrong API. Needs options for transitions including random. I deleted this after finding one that is actually 4x4 that fills the screen. Using AEGO instead and I like it better.

I do not know if it just happen to me or everyone who uses this app too. The picture won't show on my homescreen after I set it. Literally no picture. Sometimes I have to restart my phone to let it work. But recently, even I restarted my phone, the picture still not showing. I am on Huawei P10 Lite and using Nova Launcher as my default. Android Nougat 7.0

by R####:

Not at all intuitive. I was able to crop one photo once, but never was able to repeat cropping on any other photo. Sometimes the photo I chose was displayed, sometimes not. An almost worthless app.

I absolutely love my Samsung pay. It's fast, easy, and secure! MST is what actually makes it far more superior compared to other mobile pay apps. It works at about 85% of the places I visit. The only downfall is that you can't use It at certain terminals and some you kinda have to tinker with it a bit. For example, i have to tinker with it a bit at Walmart. Honestly if I can't pay with Samsung pay I won't visit that store or restaurant. The best feeling in the world is when an idiot cashier(or Apple user) vehemently insist that it doesn't work and the look of surprise on their face when it actually does. Lastly, if every cashier person can stop assuming my phone or watch is Apple that'd be great!

Can only install one picture. Any others get overwritten by the first one. Also the pictures get jumbled up. Bottom line: doesn't work properly

Does not work on my Samsung S7 with Android 7.0. I know very well how to use this app as it worked fine in my old phone. I can place a widget on my home screen, but the "Click me to setup :)" link isn't working.

G70%
by G####:

Exactly what I wanted, although clicking to advance pictures in the widget seems slightly laggy. A slideshow option is perfect for the random memories and being able to share pictures of my baby girl without opening an app is just perfect.

works great. android developers started smoking Crystal meth again and the picture widget got uninstalled so I couldn't see cute pictures of me and my girl but now I can again.

R70%
by R####:

It worked great for a very long time but now it's suddenly incredibly buggy and inconsistent with what photos it decides is valid to load into the frame. In case you're wondering I'm running a Galaxy S7 edge on Verizon fully updated.

In this day and age, image viewer without support for gif and other formats is regress

It worked great until Android Oreo update. Now photo disappears whenever I go to the screen it's on, but still takes up space.

R70%
by R####:

So good it breaks Google's feedback system (no, I don't need Social integration in a photo widget). Fits it's name, quite nice and extremely simple

R70%
by R####:

Couldn't figure it out. Became a waste of time. Immediately dumped it!

R70%
by R####:

It does what it says and so much more, the best I've seen. No bugs or glitches so far. I would like to see more options when it comes to frames, own pictures etc. Thanks for a great app/widget.

Picture disappears from home screen on Android Oreo (Pixel Launcher). Have to tap blank area where pic was to launch app, then tap home for it to reappear. Please fix.

Y70%
by Y####:

Nothing nice or easy about your app in fact it doesn't even work...All I wanted was somewhere I could view my photos at...A gallery...This is nothing but a screen of text.wtf? Don't waste your time downloading this, it doesn't work!

X70%

Works as advertised on my Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet. Also, the other app I tried auto cropped the photos and thereby often removed the face of the person in the photo. This app shows the entire image. Good job. Thank you!

The app doesn't work well. The pictures disappear and reappear constantly. My search for a good one continues...

K70%

I like it but I found out it has been using data and I can't for the life of me figure out why it would need data is beyond me

R70%

Does what it needs to do. I wish the photo would open directly in my photo app instead of in the widget viewer first. I knock one star off for that, but otherwise great app.

D70%

It would not work at all for me. I could get two but couldn't get a third. I tried everything than started over but then I couldn't even get one.

G70%
by G####:

Best photo widget I've found so far, allows for plenty of customization and my only complaint would be that in the slideshow mode it always shows all of the photos in a directory rather than just ones you select.

R70%
by R####:

The only thing would be to make this widget perfect is the single tap action (open another app, open link, etc.). Thanks *-*

R70%

Since the new android update my faborote photo widget is gone and i got this one thinking it would work but every size i tried was too small oe weird looking for my 2x2 space and didnt fill it correctly

R70%
by R####:

Some improvement suggestions: 1. Slideshow interval should be in hours:minutes:seconds NOT a limited selection. I want a 5 second rotation but can't do it. Please remove that restriction. 2. An option for scaling up images to fill the available space. Also, if implemrnted, an option to retain aspect ratio.

E70%
by E####:

Way too much text on the launch screen. If you have a video or graphic instructions, rip out all the boring text and pop it in. Would also like to see a 5 second transition offered.

Works great every time for placing images on my home screen. Been using for several years now.

R70%

Downloaded it twice. Would only open a page on how to attach to this or that, unable to actually open app. What a waste of time!

K70%
by K####:

I love it because it is easy to use and you can customize it as little or as much as you like. Add a frame pr let it display your favorite photo or photos frameless. Choose just one large or small photo or use the slideshow ffiturere to enjoy as many pictures you please. Thank you for this app.

Excellent app that does exactly what I wanted. Suggestion: Please add a 'Photo Update Interval' that changes pic at a specific time.

Could not find simple & good low cost/free frame widget after update and lost old Android freebie. Its got ads but only on configure/settings screen, so no impact to widget itself. Seems really lightweight/quick as one frame has a folder with 1500 pics in a random cycle. Also single click changes to next pic. Frame border a bit simple but configurable, prefer simple border now. Could use an auto-crop feature perhaps, but thats nitpicking. Been using for 2 wks now, 4 frames on desktops pointing to diff folde

I was looking for full screen widget to display my photos without having to open my gallery. This app is it. I like being able to turn off the photo frame. And I can resize the widget with ease. Wasn't able to set for multiple pictures at first, but after checking the settings again I found it.

M70%
by M####:

Great app. Don't know where SD is in 'choose a directory' in settings. Is SD supported? Used to be. Also, when you view an image full screen the name of the image is all confused. It doesn't state the name properly. There are extra symbols amongst the characters which make the file name unreadable sometimes. This app was 5 stars. Now, 2. I hope the developer makes it so that external storage is supported again and that file names are legible again.

M70%
by M####:

This used to be great, but sometime ago, it got a problem on phone reboot. Basically, everytime I restart my phone, I have to re-do the settings in the app again - including the photo selection! In other words, it has become useless.

M70%

Simple and best. I was able to set full photo in widget no cropping and transparency and resizing options are just superb. Only issue is jerky scrolling while in settings menu of the app I'm on CM13.

Only thing it's lacking is ability to use the widget to launch apps. Supports png files, which is a definite plus.

Allows photo to be stretched to full display size without distorting of picture (subject to photo config/size) also can set to slideshow. Awesome app.....thanks devs
