Moto Actions

For the most part I have been so happy with Moto actions, especially after upgrading to a better phone I get much more functionality. But idk if it's because of Moto actions or what, but when phone is locked "hey Google" action doesn't work... Also just got a flip cover case and I'm kinda sad that twist for flashlight won't work unless flap is open ☹️ (idk if it's because the light sensor is covered by flap, but wish it worked)

One of my favorite features of my Motorola phone has been Moto action. After grabbing my Moto Z2 Force I was extremely sad to see that They removed the custom phrase from Moto action. The show me feature does not seem to work at all and I feel that you should bring back the ability to do a custom launch phrase to open up Google as it was before.

The newly launched moto g5s plus has night mode but 6 month old does not. What is this moto? Features may depend on hardware but g5+ and g5s+ have same hardware,i.e., snapdragon 625,4gb ram,same gpu so why we are barred from this feature? Isn't it injustice to all g5+ users?

I really love the Moto actions... I would really like to use the one button navigation... But I barely use it as I just keeps vibrating on every damn flick. If you could please add an optional vibration on/off for the navigation button would really appreciate that... I am using g5s plus... Please help me out with this... It's just an simple upgrade... And It would be appreciated by many. Thank you Motorola!

This is by far the best app i have ever come across ... Its very user friendly ,and the most useful ... The ambient light display is by far the best part please Motorola dont ever change that... Thats the reason i buy your mobiles and they are amazing of course P.s and we dont need face id ... Its useless

Moto can you please add an option to stop the damn vibration of fingerprint sensor, it really pisses me off sometimes. Please and can you please add night mode to moto g5+ too, i know you'll say hardware dependencies but isn't both phones hardware is same?

It randomly turns on "do not disturb" on my Moto G5 (even when I'm working with it) and I can't even manually turn it back to off. I noticed it will be disabled if I flip and face down the phone for a second. I have disabled flip for do not disturb in Moto actions but it doesn't have any effect. PS: I don't have any schedule for do not disturb.

All good but the one button navigation, can you give us an option to disable the vibration? Vibration consumes more battery and I hate it. Please update it asap. I also don't like the fact that Moto Display always triggered by a light bump, even when I put the phone on the bed, and the bed kinda move caused by my body movement, the Moto Display triggered. And please make it fully black. And make it on when there is only unread notif there, just like the one in the old Motorola devices.

I use the twist for camera and chop for flashlight actions all the time and they work really well. It's also very rare that they'll accidentally be triggered by other motions. The only problem is if someone else hands me their phone and asks me to take a picture, I usually try twisting it a few times to start the camera!

Really like the actions however if I press and hold my fingerprint it turns off my screen. I have one button nav disabled so I would expect this to not happen. It didn't used to... Also, it's a shame the night display doesn't fade in and out. I would keep one button nav on if it allowed me to optionally keep the OSC as the back button is contextually aware, but a gesture is not...

Why there is no night mode in my moto g5 plus but g5s plus have? Both have same processor what is the difference of hardware here? Also no option for one hand mode when using one key navigation! Gesture control should be customisable.. it's very difficult to swipe left for back button for right handed person instead of swipe right ! One-button NAV is genius but often registers back as return to home which is annoying. Also If possible pleas add more customisation options e.g. allow for vibrate on/off in one button NAV as already stated.

I really like the Moto actions on my Moto g5s plus phone. If you bring notification led in the software update, it would be awesome. This is a major problem for all the Moto users regarding led notification. Thanks

It's great in the main user account. Trying to setup under another user on the same phone and app doesn't even open or show up in the app list. I have to go through the play store to hit the open button and it still doesn't open.

please add a customize function so I can select which swipe Action activates what function. I personally hate having to swipe left for the back action. I want to be able to press the Fingerprint sensor once to go back.

I DO NOT like the do not disturb portion. You should be able to decide if you want to completely turn it off or remove it. My messages are not working. I am not receiving them and I believe it is due to this feature. Otherwise, it's ok.

I like the fingerprint pad navigation but this stops selection of flash and timer options in the Moto camera app. Touching the controls at the top of the screen doesn't work if pad navigation is enabled.

Moto display should have do not disturb hours or at least follow the system rules. Need better one handed mode option. The current one only works when there is nothing on the screen that can scroll

I love the feature of navigating through fingerprint sensor on Moto G5 Plus. And the twisting action for camera has been an amazing function for a long time now. I guess this review was overdue

I love this idea. But I really wish we could turn off vibration completely. It's so annoying it has to vibrate all the time. Should be able to turn that off!

I used to love this app. Then I switched from the Moto G3 to the Moto E4. None of the actions work other than the shrink screen. I loved the camera and especially the flashlight options. What happened? I want them back!

How to stop vibration when i disable on screen navigation buttons ??? Fingerprint sensor is always playing the vibration... Please give me a update to stop it...

Using the fingerprint button as a "home” button is great, and so would the swipe to "back" if there wasn't that many errors in pattern recognition. As it is almost half the time it brings me back to the homescreen when I want to go to the previous screen. Unfortunately it's not possible to tweak the feature or activate it only partially

Not bad, but two issues: 1. Can't make the screen reduction feature launch. 2. Camera shortcut should ask which camera app to launch (because the built-in app is pants, I use Open Camera)

I have recently bought Moto G5s plus. Moto display is awesome but there is one thing that bothers me. When i put the phone on DND and turn off all the notifications on lock screen & home screen both..that still displays on Moto display.. So the the screen flashes even on DND mode.. Which is a little bit annoying..

G5 plus users like me need the night mode if it's possible through a software update.coz within 6 months the g5s plus came with a new feature which we can't enjoy as changing phone within 6 months or maybe a year is not possible for all

Please add night screen mode to Moto display. It has not been upgraded to g5plus. I'm very must disappointed.

Since this is my 3rd motoG I'm using I'm quite familiar to Moto display, though I liked the simplistic implementation on my Moto G turbo, the new one is quite colour rich but intuitive too. The best feature it currently has is the one button nav, I really appreciate the thoughtful execution but it's not perfect as of now, the haptic feedback all the time when you swipe gets frustrating and should have some settings to disable it, and in some apps like Facebook while playing video in landscape it gets clueless about going back to portrait again, this is something I can live with though but I really wish I could disable the haptic feedback. Hope it gets added to the next update to.the app

In Moto g5s plus phone vibrate when one nav Button is using there is no option to off vibration so please provide option to off vibration

I have the Moto E4 Plus. My last phone was a Droid Turbo and i loved that i could shake and chop to activate the camera and flashlight. Why aren't these options available for my new phone?

The app is nice but the feature, one button nav using finger print reader doesn't work as expected, mainly using Amazon app, if try to go back a page using left quick swipe it doesn't work, it just closes the whole app, it's the case with many other apps too

I have always been a fan of the moto actions since they were first introduced in moto x back in 2013. That is one of the main reasons why I have bought another Moto phone after the Moto X. However I'm a little disappointed to see that the current version of this app does not include auto silencing the phone during meetings picked up from Google calendar. It was really handy and I didn't need to bother to silence my phone when I enter the numerous meetings I have each day. If the Moto guys are listening here's a request, please bring back that feature!

Very bad because it not gave moto key in moto G5S PLUS in price high but not good phone I am very badly for my money for this Mobile

what is this moto :( g5 plus was the best phone so we bought it but it doesnt have night mode and other new features ... even it has same hardware work on it

Update it to add more features like double tab on fingerprint sensor for recent apps so the swipe option can be used only for going back and I'll rate the app 5stars and also recommend to my friends.

Fantastic, useful additions to Android. One of the reasons I come back to Motorola phones is basically stock Android tricked out with smart options like this.

Bug found, when night mode auto on by Moto display ,it creates charging error 88% then not increase over time but decrease allows after 45% then it increase again . I discovered this after eventually off Moto action. Fix it soon.

Why there's no night light feature available for g5 plus whereas the g5s gets it?

The Moto display no longer changes color according to the primary color of wallpaper in my Moto g5s plus whereas in my earlier Moto g5 plus it changes color. I sincerely hope Moto fixes this
