With all the apps Microsoft is putting on Android Along with this, you pretty much can have the windows experience. Now after every update I'm finding things I don't like about it. Notification icons overlap and remain even after checked or removed. Big lack of windows style widgets and lock screen issues with finger print capable phones.

M70%
by M####:

Love the launcher overall, sorry clean and fast. HOWEVER, I paid $6 for the full launcher and nothing has changed. I still cannot use my own icon packs and there is no response through their system. **Update** Still have not heard back from devs after losing $6 and having a partially broken launcher. Can't update either. Please fix!

I Loved Windows Phone for their UI with Live Tiles, so with this App I get the Best of Both worlds - an awesome Android device (LG V20) with my great old WP8 UI via Launcher 8. Only the Gallery Live Tile doesn't display all my Albums, otherwise Excellent.

by M####:

Its a good launcher for the windows interface part as that really makes things simple for having one place for all the important stuff you want to access on your phone. The rest of the features are very basic and not too flexible. Also newer updates of the software take some time to load now unlike before when you hit the home key. Wish they add more stuff soon.

I don't post reviews, but this laumcher app has turned my Galaxy S7 into the perfect cellphone. I hate the limitations on screen space and navigation for Android and iOS. Windows Phone has always made it for me except for their apps. This app will give you the best of both worlds with flawless performance. Update. After awesome customization of my home screen, an update wiped everything out.

M70%
by M####:

This was a 4 star review but every update seems to make worse. Among the most annoying problems, every time i go home, a menu button gets thrown onto my navbar, and i can't remove it. I find this style of launcher to be the most productive because it puts everything directly at your fingers without just throwing you an app drawer. Could do without the suggestions to go paid, but all in all great launcher

M70%
by M####:

Great smooth launcher. However the screen turning effect doesn't work on some tiles (especially newly added ones) on my Htc one m8. If it weren't for that, I would have given 5 stars. Love the frosted glass effect on the options menu, it would be great if there was an OPTION to apply it to the tiles as well.

I like this app because of the similarities to windows phone tiles! And the customability with the tiles and any picture I want to use in combination with the ability to use any wallpaper I want too is amazing!!!! I did try win 10 also. But this app is easier for me to manuever through! But this is just "my" oppinion? Different people like different things? Thanks! God bless you!

With the lack of any new windows phones, I felt forced to switch to a new ecosystem, but this app has made Android both bearable and enjoyable for me. My only complaint would be the lack of live files, well that and that this is not the official Microsoft launcher.

by Y####:

It is very easy to use, it's very well thought with a lot of options almost like a real windows mobile phone. I've never owned a Windows phone, but I always liked the look, simplicity and animations. I want to say that the people that developed this did a great job, however there are a few things that might need attention. I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 with Android Nougat. The battery tends to drain pretty fast, the weather on the weather and calenders tile doesn't work or maybe I don't know how to configure it. There are no live tiles except a few 3 that come with it, it did freeze a few times and the notifications are overlapping sometimes at the top before bringing down the notifications, and please take this with a grain of salt, maybe all these can be fixed with a setting that I'm not familiar with. Again I think it's a great launcher and the people that developed it did a fantastic job.

I love how they have implemented the look of Windows 8 UI. It even has app menu with a left swipe ( as on Windows). Could switch to it full time. But I notice a battery drain with this launcher (maybe because of the big UI changes it puts on top of Android). I wish they could do something about battery requirement (even with some reduced functionality).

Overall i like this app but except some issues which I'm facing heavily. Mobile hangs alot sometimes other apps won't even open. This app takes too much ram space. If u can resolve this issues will give 5 stars Good app though

I hated that I had to give up my Windows phone, but even Microsoft gave up on it so I had to let go. The biggest thing I was going to miss was the live tiles style interface. It's so much more versatile and functional as compared to most Android style interfaces. Finding this launcher has made the transition to an Android phone much easier than I I thought it would be. I have no complaints so far. I love it.

Issues: Lockscreen - (1) After I customize the lockscreen, it changes by itself into a different custom without me doing anything. And most of the time when I make the customization of the lockscreen, my changes do not come into effect. It doesn't apply my customization. (2) Lockscreen wallpaper disappears when there are notifications at the lockscreen - Stock Phone Status bar appears when I slide down from the lockscreen (I don't want it to do that) (3) notifications have no preview at the lockscreen (it should) (4) while plugged in (charging) lockscreen changes into something ugly... Statusbar (1) at the home screen, my phone stock status bar appears during a short period when I scroll down from the top. (2) icons at the statusbar overlaps (3) icons specific to apps do not disappear when the app is closed (4) notifications have no preview at the statusbar (it should) ... I am a free user.

M70%
by M####:

This is not that great. A lot of tiles say app not found even though I have linked it myself to the "missing" app. Some language is off. The themes don't work that well. Often times they are in Chinese and do not translate to English. The notification panel is not that great either. The notification text is way too big, and the buttons are not customizable. Although it can be disabled. It looks fancy, but that is all.

M70%
by M####:

Uses the old Android menu button which contains an ad, and search function links to some adware as well. This application is adware and asks for WAY too many permissions. If it weren't for those two things, this would be an excellent launcher because of its extensibility.

I really love this launcher, but there are some minor issues that causes i will not have this as my default launcher. For example some notifications dont appear in WP notificarion centre at all and after 1 day of using it just tells me i need to grant acces notifications that i granted before. And when i go to the page where i can grant that permission the icon of launcher 8 disappears and i am not able to turn on notifications again.

M70%
by M####:

I have been using this theme for a few days now and so far only MINOR cosmetic complaints... I wish the tiles we're able to be centered on my screen vertically speaking. It seems they are all just stacked from top to bottom so I get that annoying empty gap at the bottom. Also, when I tap the flashlight or similar tools there's a lag to complete the task.

M70%
by M####:

I loved the look of my old windows phone, but no apps made me move back to android after 3 years. Looses a star as the tiles are not live tiles, but a much preferred interface to standard android

I hope they can figure out a way to remove the original status bar, every time I pull down the status bar on the main screen, the original Android status bar shows up too. And some times when I hit a tile, it doesn't open the app, fix the bug pls. Its a good Windows phone launcher over all.

Frankly speaking this is an above average app and almost resembles the windows mobile phone metro UI design to say the least. This app has a lot of potential. Appreciates the developer team for painstakingly designing and creating such a neat and good launcher. However I would like to mention some drawbacks of this launcher here. Basically the biggest problem is this launcher's notification panel and the status bar which often overlap on the default (system) notification panel and status bar of my phone many a times and creating a huge mess and also being unable to read the notifications on the notification screen inspite of selecting the status bar of this launcher in this launcher's settings.

You can really add fresh accents to your boring android look with this launcher. I've always been a fan of windows phone though app problem has always prevented me from using it daily. Now you can have that beautiful tiles UI without compromising in app department.

In my Oppo F1 plus it is not able to display notifications. In call i can't even get to know whether i am in call or not. Good app. Gave my phone a window phone look but was not able to unlock with my fingerprint. So three staris more than sufficient.

I paid for Pro and it totally messed up my phone so much that I had to do a factory reset. Whatever you do pay nothing. Nobody responds. My husband also paid and got nothing but trouble. Free version is the best it gets.

This is honest review and will clear most of your doubts. This is a replica of Lumia phone's no doubt in that, you have no trouble in operating it as normal Lumia phone. Then comes store and theme feature, you can't download themes. It just pauses again and again. It's status bar is also exactly same as lumia, but pay for VIP features where those features are broke, it doesn't seem like a good option to me. With you can't download your themes fonts sounds you are left with basic theme only

Very good, except these few things (otherwise the most enjoyable WP experience I know of): it doesn't show sticky notifications; very slow to show network condition changes (eg. from 4g to edge); can't customise quick access buttons at the top of the notification panel; always tells me that it can't add widget when trying to add custom widgets; does not show live weather info on any tile (eg. calendar or weather). (Could be a brightness slider available.) That's about it, otherwise the interface is nice and responsive, very good job on that!

by M####:

I want to like this, but it's not as good as it needs to be. The overall look is great, but notifications at the top of the screen overlap, duplicate, and often don't clear. I've been using it for a few days, but I don't think I can stick with it much longer, which is a shame.

F70%
by F####:

It's quite good but it can't show the operator name and signal level, It hides useful notifications from my apps example from Gmail on the task bar and even when you exit an ongoing call when you want to use the phone for other purposes, you can't find the call again to disconnect unless you request a disconnection from the person you are talking to. Please help us on those issues

This launcher is flagged as malware by malwarebytes. It's looks great and has good tools and options but it's slow, buggy, there are issues with many widgets not working. The developer never responds and after having paid for the other version I'm annoyed as it offers less than this version. They mention online that they will offer free VIP status to this in lieu of the paid app not working but never action requests.

This is the cleanest, most customisable and overall best experience I've had with any sort of Windows launcher. The only reason I uninstalled it is due to the imperfect notification bar and my inability to switch only the notification bar off.

Really puts a stain on your battery having live icons. It does look like a Windows phone but without a lot of the functions, although I am still tinkering with it.

There are some words that are misspelled and there are also erroneous grammar in the system which are a bit disappointing. I hope you could correct it.

Been using this for a while, and it has been great until recently. I've noticed newer widgets that are designed to be resizable are not playing nicely with this launcher, and many other widgets are difficult to interact with, or sometimes don't function at all. This was one of the major draw cards for this launcher, but with the widget engine not working well, it's almost useless and frustrating to use. Focus on quality rather than feature count. Edit: Now even more bogged down with many services (floating window, download manager?!). Many times when I got the home button, it freezes and has to load the launcher again taking around 10 seconds to do so. Nexus 5X, not using WP lock screen or notification bar.

I really like the windows application. (Avid Windows phone user here) Having the ability to use an app to simulate Windows is appreciated, if I could just get rid of google completely, I would. One suggestion for this app, with my system lock screen off I still have the Launcher 8 lock screen to contend with and no way to disable it. Give me the option, let me have control over when and where I lock my phone, just like my system settings does on Android OS.

This is great customizable launcher only two problems with it. 1. this one will not let you save your themes that you make. The APP sais it does even in help. But it won't work. It may need some one to fix that. 2. There is way to many pop up adds that pop up over other things your doing in unexpectingly way and you get carried off to the addvertizers loop in your browser....grrrrr please fix the save theme so if we make one we can save or share thank you

Update This was better than windows phone till they updated it to be more like it. The thing that made this app good was that it was a better version of windows. Wish there was an option to go back. But it's good when it doesn't crash at times. And the new customisation is pretty good.

This was my favorite launcher. I used this launcher on this Galaxy S7 Active before just fine. But for a while now it stopped working properly. Tiles can't be customized or edited or have app bound. It just closes the tile edit and does nothing.

Switching from a Lumia 920 with Windows Phone 8.1. This comes really close to making it feel like I'm still using my Windows Phone. Lots of customization options, so my home screen looks almost identical. Only issue I have, and its a major one, is that notifications do not work at all. When I first installed the app I was able to select Launcher 8 from the Notification access menu, but then it disappears after going back to home. Reinstalling made it work shortly again, but it disappears from the menu the same way. Also after reinstalling, the lock screen doesn't change to the one I selected anymore. If these two issues were fixed it be a five star app. Closest thing to Windows Phone.

Pretty nice app. Was using windows phone since 2013. Android was bit annoying for me, this app helps a lot to switch platforms. Looking for similar contacts and 'phone' app
