About LWP+ - live wallpaper with customized colors
Starting from Android 8.1, when you set a wallpaper, the OS might change its colors based on it.
Sometimes what you get might not be what you'd wish to have.
This is why I've made this tiny live wallpaper app.
The app allows you to manually set which colors you'd like to request the OS to use.
This means that even if you have a relatively white background, you can still (if the OS allows it) have a dark themed notification drawer.
Features :
1. Ability to choose which photo to have as a background, and a color behind it.
2. Ability to have a double-tap-to-lock device.
3. Ability to choose which colors to request from the OS. Note that each color meaning depends on the OS alone.
Note:
This is a live wallpaper app. It means you can't use another live wallpaper app that shows its content, within it. Only one live wallpaper app can be active. This is how Android works. I can't do anything about it.
What you can do is have a normal wallpaper for the lock screen while using this app for the home screen.

While figuring out the cropping is frustrating and the dev wasn't helpful, once I figured out a way that works the app solves an oversight in Android and the effort is appreciated.

I've been looking for an app like this forever! GREAT START! If you're looking for things to add, I'd love Live wallpaper support, and the ability to add lock screen wallpapers as well. Also, if you can get rid of that ugly lockscreen tint you'd make me a very happy boy. Will donate!

Image selection doesn't work. Crop original or crop button changes crop to landscape and only saves landscape crop. Can't save portrait crop.

Wow this works perfectly! (Pixel 2, 8.1) This is exactly what I wanted, now I can get the sweet dark notification shade back! I would give five stars but I would love if the photo you set as the background would move when you scrolled between homescreens like the standard wallpaper. If this is feasible it would be a great addition!

Frankly I'm shocked this works. But it does and does so well. Glad I can finally have the dark theme since apparently none of the (non-live) built-in wallpapers for my Nexus 6P count as dark enough to trigger the native effect. Thank you for this!

Great app, works as advertised. Can now have clear picture of my daughter as my wallpaper and still have a nice dark notification drawer. It only lacks the ability to change the colour of the app drawer and the settings window, but that's an OS issue.

Made home screen laggy, and didn't apply the dark theme.

When I select a white color yo obtain dark navbar and dark notification bar, I can't because the app add shadows in the corners of the color

Love this app. I like using lighter colored wallpapers but prefer to keep the quick setting shade black. This app lets me do that.
