Visiting Amsterdam in the Spring can also coincide with the annual opening of the Keukenhof park, a real pleasure to see and admire the beautiful tulips. But if you can't make it to the park, maybe you can buy a lot of tulip bulbs from Amsterdam's flower markets. They even have a floating flower market that is very famous. The city is filled with things to visit or see, from the famous canals that were used for defense in the early days, to the modern buildings that house all sorts of awesome cultural things.
There are a lot more things to visit in Amsterdam. They are very proud of their Districts, all of them, that are diverse and filled with friendly people. The shops are plenty and can guarantee you a very nice day and the bars and terraces along the canals make for awesome views.
The best idea, when you decide to finally visit Holland and Amsterdam is to rent a bike, because the city is among the top bike-friendly cities in the world. There are more bikes around then people.
So pick up some tulips and take a friend to a wonderful trip to the capital of Holland, Amsterdam.
