SideControl for Android
I love this app! It has so many ways to customize your side bars. It's everything I have always wanted in a sidebar, but unfortunately I still will be uninstalling it because it' a major battery hog, but out of the sidebars I've tried, I see that they all use a lot of battery consumption, so if you're going to use one anyway, use SideControl. Great job with the app. Hopefully in the future if you can make it so it doesn't drain my battery so quickly, I will give it a try again.
Makes switching apps quicker since it eliminates the need to go to home screen first. Those precious seconds add up. In many cases, a particular app which you think you used just a minute ago has gone to fourth or fifth place in the recent apps screen so annoying to find that way. With side control, you'll always have a few choice apps at the ready.
I've been using "Floaters", Launchers and clever tricks to multitask within Game Of War on this Boost Prevail LTE...for months. I bet I've tried them all. SideControl should definitely look into ways to get their name out more. Well done, developers!!!
Update: This is for the paid pro version it's nearly a year later and it's worse than ever. Developer has either abandoned the software or he can't fixit. Was fantastic but now the apps don't populate on the sidebars they're just blank when slid out. This is on S4 running lollipop. Contacted the coder but he's too busy to help with individual problems. Had to delete sidecontrol and install sidebar instead which works well
It has been more than 18 months that I'm using this app. I changed from Samsung galaxy grand to Google Nexus 5 but i couldn't be without this app.. I've tried almost every side bar app on the market n can safely say that this is the best amongst all!
I've gone through so many side launchers, but this is the one I always come back to. A bit more resource-intensive than some others, but the recent apps feature has remained functional when most other apps have broken by now. Animations are really nice as well, fluid and elegant. Good app.
Helped me in the case of a broken screen digitizer - 1 cm width of the top screen is dead/inactive; because of that, dragging down the notification bar wasn't working. With this app I can now "drag-up" the notification bar instead. Many thanks! P.S. the Toggle mobile data doesn't seem to work on any side.
What is the problem with this app and fingerprint? When i use gesture for locking screen and then want to open with fingerprint says for security u nust enter code instead fingerprint (galaxy s7) . This is the best app of this kind pls solve this problem
So far it seems great. There's a bit of a learning curve involved with so many options but if you are prepared to experiment a bit you will probably get it working to suit your needs.
Simply awesome. Would only request for few features like option to have toggles of Bluetooth, hotspot and others on the slide.. So far its the best slide, gesture or easy app access application I have used on Android, no complaints. Just great.
I try all of these sidebar apps and this is the latest one I've tried. I can see this one being so much more useful! It has already helped me catch a couple songs fast from the TV with the shortcuts... I use Shazam or soundhound! I was able to hurry unlock the phone and boom hit one button and it caught it! I just started using it, personalized it and so far so good! It is a really Nice app! I really like it so far!
I really like this app. Still getting the hang of it, but it adds a customizable dock without a need for root. Just like Docky/Plank, DockBar, MacOS X Dock. I hope it just keeps getting better.
Nice, nice. Very innovative stuff. But it's a little derpy when it comes to adjusting it in the settings. Also it should save the changes you make to the length and sensitivity (it seems to reset the next time it's launched)...
I have been waiting for someone to develop an app to give me quick gesture control to go straight to almost anything I want and NOT have to press any button to get there. THANK YOU
If you leave this free for a while till you get popular then make another app for something else which is paid for that would be a great idea leave this free and ad free and no further updates.... This will be the best for peopme with no edge screen!
I'm still getting to know this app, but it seems stable, and, more importantly, fun. Lots (and lots) of gesture and appearance options. A bit of a learning curve, but worth it. The pro version is a little $teep, but all the options make it a good buy, in my opinion.
If you suddenly need to use another application while you are in the midst of using another, this app will allow you switch without pushing any physical buttons. Has many customization options and extremely useful, at least for me.
Good app works as advertised, a little trouble setting it up for the first time. But not blaming the developer very well could be me?
Stumbled upon this by accident, and glad I did. Fantastic variety of customization options.
Really like the functionality and the ability to customize. But one star deducted because shortcuts aren't working properly, specifically Greenify. If I assign either the Hibernate Now or Hibernate and Lock shortcuts, Side Control just launches the Greenify app, NOT the shortcut. And running these Greenify shortcuts was actually the main reason I installed Side Control, ironically.
Nice app. I liked beaing able to customize how the side-bar looks & being able to control its speed. Didn't give 5 stars bcoz of the annoying notification. Other than that, it's good.
Fantastic app. It's like a 2, 3, or even 4 for the price of 1 app. Many I've tried, and while they work well, there's always something that seems to be left out. This app covers everything. Best part is you can adjust the settings so that the app column, pops up from the CENTER of the screen. Which allows the icons to be very easily reached from either side of the device. The height adjustment is also convenient for use with larger devices e.g Galaxy Note's or tablets.
I can't recommend this app enough and it's without a doubt a "must have", so much so that it should just be built in part of Android by default imo. It's an extremely well thought out and designed app, and it's not totally crippled (like some apps do) so what you get for free is actually usable and extremely fair. It's WELL worth the couple of bucks to upgrade just to support the devs for such a well made and useful app, let alone the added functionality you get which makes this app unbeatable!
Was a great app, but some features no longer work, and the developer has disappeared. I've been unable to get any support at all for the paid version.
This app does serve it's purpose and does it fairly well, however, it's graphics are painfully slow and I've found no way to change that so far. Delays everywhwre. A few features that I've seen work with other apps but not other this one (on my note 5) are back button and notification pull down. I've seen several apps have issues with the notification shade but lots of apps have the back button working. Add those features and speed it up and it's 5 stars.
I purchased the Premium Version. I have used and tested out many (AND I DO MEAN M-A-N-Y) other apps that fall into this "menu launcher" category. This is unquestionably the best. It offers more functionality, more versatility, and a more appealing user interface than all of the others out there. Thanks!
Would you mind make bottom area gesture work on virtual button of Nexus 5 Marshmallows?
Finally installed an app after reading the description. Feels like tons of custom ways I can use this for a better experience.
Was using Omni switch for so long. This is good tho. Maybe better. Ok it's better.
This app is incredible! Hands down replaces what I was using before! Someone buy this dev a beer!
Unbelievable,it really is, gonna take patience, this thing Is configurable beyond imagine. If I had rooted phone I may not even bother with it because it would be too much. Will discover stability over next several days and get back to ya! Unbelievable!!!"!!
Nice side bar application out of many asps I ever used.
Flash/Torch doesn't work for me
I have used this application on my note 3 but it doesn't work on my note tablet. I will give 5 stars if you fix this issue I'm having. I get the side bar but no icons. Any idea? I'm on 5.0
Extremely customizable. I've bought and used practically every other sidebar and/or floating launcher available, wasting lots of time and money in the process. Should have started and ended here. No perceivable options missing, and intuitive, just like his other app, Floatify. Can't praise this dev enough.
Edit: In my original review, I COMPLETELY lied. Relax. Was not on purpose. The requirement was that the notification had to be on. I did not realize that and had it turned off. Reviewed this prematurely and began shopping for a new one. I regret shopping for a new one. It was a huge waste of time since THIS is the one that I wanted. I uninstalled and tried again. It worked. Tested a few things here and there. Going step by step slowly to get everything how I wanted it. Turned off the notification. It failed to work. So. Yeah. This was my experience with this app. I "hid" the notification and it is working flawlessly. It is exactly what i was looking for. Original: I seem to be unable to get tasks to start from menu. Instead of running the task from the task shortcut, it is opening Tasker. Tried direct message with AutoRemote as a workaround but, it just opened the AutoRemote App. No message sent. This was primary goal for this sidebar menu so, I would give a single star; however, the app itself is simple, pretty, and reliable so, I will give three stars instead. Thank you for your hard work on this but, please consider improving Tasker support. Much appreciated!
This is a really great app with tons of ways to personalize to your likings. The only thing I don't like is the notification that I cannot get rid of. It is insanely annoying. Get rid of that and its a 5-star app!
Looking good. I've been Winchester wt Looking for an app like this for a while now
I'm really trying to figure out how to use this app, and it continues to prompt me to rate it. Therefore ;I'm going to give it 4 stars, before knowing if I really like it, so it will allow me to configure the app.

I've just spent the past 2 days trying every swipe launcher out there-no lie. I can officially say Side Control is the very BEST one. The options border on overwhelming there's so many. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to make my #1 favorites bar show. You go into Gestures then down to Right Touch area and assign a gesture to it (I assigned 'short slide'). Hope that helps someone
