Evangelion Clock Widget for Android
Just realised this app has changed for the very worst. Used up 6 (!!!) GB of my mobile data that I wasn't even aware of. Been using this since 2013 iirc, uninstalled for good.
Used to be a great widget that I had on all of my phones. I noticed I started getting full screen ads that would interrupt anything that was up. Also been running up my data to which afterwards I saw it was this app. It's a shame that's it's just a crapped adware app now.
Have had this on every Android I have owned and loved it. This past month it used 8 GB of my data out of nowhere. Bad news and I'm really sad to have to uninstall. It really used to be one of the best clocks ever made.
Data usage is out of control! Really loved this app for a long time but cant justify 2.4 gigs in one month!
I've had this on all my phones since the Galaxy S1, but now it causes pop-up ads all over the place and it eats up all my data (over 2 gigs in 2 weeks!). Sad to uninstall, but it must go.
This has been with me since I got an android phone years ago. Now it's eating up GBs of background data. This should be removed from the store ASAP.
Used to be my fav clock widget, now become my headache, why a clock widget is consuming data? not 1mb or 2 each month, but 400+mb/month, after i disabled data access for it, still consumed about 200+mb.
This blasted thing ate up over a gig of data. How does a clock do that?
I really hope one day they fixed this cause i had it on every phone for years and now it just keeps crashing...
This used to be fantastic, but now is nothing more than bloatware with advertising. I'm really disappointed.
A clock app shouldn't be using so much data. Judging by the other comments this is now just a pile of adware. I hope you're pleased with yourself.
Hey it doesnt have those problems anymore that people are saying or atleast not for me just thought id tell you
Like many reviewers say, this app causes random full screen video ads.
Use to be on everything now full of malware. Sad.
Uses far too much data for what is supposed to be a decorative clock widget.
How do you change from mini to standard
Used all my data. Avoid
Ate a gig in 14 days
Was great back on the previous versions. I noticed the nonsensical permission changes and thankfully avoided the malicious patch. The recent malware injection means I must now sadly warn others away from what was once my favorite clock.
My data use seemed to be high this month. 5.2 gigs halfway through my cycle. I check my data usage and this app was #1 with 2.6Gb used since the 10th, tying every other app combined. Other reviews say its displaying ads and other nonsense now. It was an app I liked, but not anymore. Uninstalled.
First time I do a review and I did it for this app because I have it for so long on every android phone that I had. I really love it but now with the ads that pop on your screen (yeah it covers the whole screen) I don't want this app on my phone. I will check it in the future to see if they changed the pop-up ads, but my hopes are really low on that.
Use to be an awesome little app. Until now I had installed it on every phone I ever had. Now it is a popup laden data hog. The fate of destruction is the joy of rebirth.
Have had this for years, but the last update came with malware that does pop-ups while i am in other apps. Remember to flag this app at the bottom.
Used to love this app. It's been on every android phone I've ever had since about 2010. Sadly it's now laden with malware. Constant full screen pop-ups. It was only after I disabled the apps permission to display over everything that it stopped and the app would keep crashing. Steer away guys
I don't even have the app on display on my phone atm. I haven't used it in over a year. I noticed my mobile data has been insanely high this month. Turns out this app ate half my cellular data for no reason. This has never happened before. I will be Uninstalling. This app used to be cool :(
*Been getting PopUp video adware, but when I uninstalled this app the PopUps stopped. The large widget uses 5x3 and small widget uses 3x2, but the actual widget on-screen for large is 4x2 and small 2x1. Otherwise looks fine.
I've been using this clock for years, not anymore. Full page ads randomly pop up even when the clock is not active or clicked on. Uninstalled! I'd pay a buck to get rid of this, but there is not a donate version. Fix it scumbag!
This is my favorite clock widget, now ruined with very infuriating full screen ads that can pop up literally on any app and anytime.
Took a while to realize that this app was the reason I was getting ad pop-ups at random. Used up over 500MB of data according to my data manager. It's disappointing since I've used this app for several years only to have this happen now.
With the last update I started getting full screen ad videos that pop up at random. I was on a road trip and it used a gig and a half of my data for video ads in one afternoon! I immediately uninstalled the app and my problem pop ups were fixed.
I love this app, I have it in all my android devices. But in the last update I can't put again the HD bigger version of the clock. I never had any issue with the previous version. Hope you can solve it.
2.75GB background data in 9 days!
This used to be great! But now I get ads out of nowhere and it eats a gig of my data.
Best looking so far
...the author stuffed it full of malware. It took me WAY too long to figure out that this, a simple clock that I've been using for YEARS, was the culprit of full screen ads and a MASSIVE spike in data usage (32GB as of right now (i still have a Verizon unlimited plan) ), but yup. It was this. I'd actually PAY for this, but nope. Avoid.
I have been using the clock for several years without any issues. It was actually a pretty convenient widget since I was able to access my clock/alarm setting very easily through it. However recently I've noticed some issues with it. I haven't been running into any ads as others have been mentioning, but I have noticed that for some reason it's using up my data. Just this past weekend it for some reason used up 300MB! It hasn't spiked up like that since then but I still notice it using quite a bit of data over the last few days, which is very odd since it's never done this before.

I've had this as my clock for years now I love it. But on my new phone a oneplus 3 running marshmallow it crashes all the time and the ti e stops but the widget feature still works its frustrating. Please fix.
Would be 5 stars if I knew how to operate the tabs at the bottom. Every time I tap on them, it just opens the widget's customization menu. Please fix, then I'll give you 5 stars.

I used this app for a long time, but just today, I found out my data plan has almost been used up. Upon investigation, I found that this app was the cause of not just this month's data usage, but also several months of late. The app itself should not be generating close to 8 gigs worth of data usage for something that is a decorative clock app. Unfortunately, I will need to find a replacement clock widget now. Downgraded from 4 stars to 1 as this was a surprise to find this well liked widget app is hitting my data that hard.
