Somehow it turned itself off, so... I went back to *no wallpaper*. I was curious about this app because it's not live wallpaper.

Can be done by covering the camera or taking the picture in a dark room.

You can get the same result by clicking a picture with your thumb at the camera lens and brightness down to zero, I guess. That is if this app simply disables the wallpaper service and saves battery life. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

the above combination blasts away all the GUI color and icon clutter typical for user interfaces of these days

I'm using 4.0+ and I'm not getting a black wallpaper on my lock screen when i choose this as my wallpaper. Get this fixed and I'll change this to five stars. Thanks. By the way in using 4.4.2 to be exact on an LG Optimus phone.

Installed it for my husband who's visually impaired. It would be great if there would have the same theme (white or green on black) for the phone dial.

Best and closest to absolute pure black than the others advertised. I have downloaded this app on every phone I've had for the past 2 years. (I have jump on demand with tmobile so that means 6 new phones) and will continue to have this on every phone to come

One downside, I wish you can apply this to your lock screen too. However, if you don't mind being minimalistic, this black wall paper will save you battery. I've had my Note 4 for little less than a year now and my battery like 70-80% of what it used to be. I've had this wallpaper for couple days now and I can clearly tell on the increase of battery life. My phone keeps dying at 10% and I don't want to spend money on new battery. This app has been very helpful.

Very good saved my battery get two days instead of one on a charge.

It does not work on both it only blacken the home screen not the lock screen on Samsung S6 Edge. Fix this to work with both screens and I will then give it 5 stars

if you want to set the lockscreen 'pure black' take a picture of the wallpaper, crop it, and set it as lockscreen from the gallery
