Phonotto Simple Phone Launcher

Why is it so difficult to create a reliable simple launcher? This is the second simple launcher I tried. It worked great till I started paying the monthly subscription. Now it stops on booting the phone and have to go through a number of steps to get it working again. This is not Simple! Looking for simple launcher 3 now.

Anyone installing this app should note that after a free trial period, you'll be asked for a £1.09 per month subscription. Nowhere is this mentioned in the app description That's far too expensive for a basic launcher. Uninstalled.

Not work dialler and many error on my ZTE Max. If soft updated in 2018 I buy it. Now is many bugs.

£1 a month? for a launcher? This is mental! Uninstalled. Would otherwise be happy to purchase the app if I didn't have to take out a monthly subscription. App is otherwise very good.

Great for my 80 year old grandfather

Thought this would be great for my mom but several of the features in the paid full version do not work including setting the app has lock screen and using as default launcher. Plus not able to access user manual. Waiting for reply from developer and will revise review then.

I cancelled my subscription after a couple of days and uninstalled the app well within the 30 day trial period and just had a monthly charge taken

While updation getting stuck and unfortunately stopped in 1 min 8-10 times that's worst

Would have been perfect but my large keyboard obscured the typing area so i couldn't see what i'd already written

Love the camera app. All the launcher is missing is the weather on the home screen.

Thank you for providing a great and simpe free app that is allowing an 84 year old to use a smartphone for the first time. A grateful mother and daughter.

Ok but Improve ui like smart launcher

This is MUCH better than other senior phone launchers, however, there are still some issues that need to be fixed before it deserves 5* rating: 1. There's a bug with the Phonotto launcher; After answering incoming calls, you still need to swipe to answer android stock dialer. Needless to say this is confusing and really needs to be fixed (Android 5.1 used here). However, I noticed that other launchers had similar issues, this might be a common bug? 2. As someone else mentioned, an option to remove quick dial row would be needed. Quick dial icons need to be long pressed, while other icons on that screen are touch only, which can also be confusing for seniors. 3. Given the price of the full version, I would also expect an integrated really simplified alarm clock. Hope the #1 issue gets fixed soon, the other two are updates that I can wait for.

A very good launcher but I need to remove speed dial completely from home screen. Enable swipe to move between screens instead of buttons. Add lockscreen pin.

Magnificent. I love this app very much. It helps me to see things much clearer. Great app.

The Playskool look to the interface may not appeal to everyone, but those big buttons are a lot easier to hit. Big lettering makes easy reading without digging out my reading glasses. The messaging interface took a few minutes to get accustomed to, because the text bubbles go full-width instead of being offset a bit to the left and right edges. I don't use the lock-screen, so can't comment on that. I'm a life-long techie who knows his way around Android just fine, but I do get tired of dealing with screens full of fiddly little icons. Main problems: can't get dialing sounds to shut off, and "voice navigator" keeps turning on whenever I open Settings.

Best Fav: Works smooth and I like notifications on icons and at left top of screen. Overall works great and I paid for pro version. One thing to improve on is the transition from Home Screen to first screen, is lag about a 1/2 sec delay. Fix that and I say 5 stars.

This is a great launcher for those tech-phobic folks among us. I bought my father-in-law an Android phone for Christmas and I installed this launcher so he would have a simple interface to use. Overall, it works very well, is quick and the customer service is great! I had a small problem with installing and the developers replied very quickly on Facebook and via email. I am a big fan of this launcher and would recommend for anyone who needs something simplified! My only complaint is that sometimes the normal lock screen comes up instead of the Phonotto lock screen and we did have time where the phone did not display an answer screen when receiving a call but that only happened once out of several tests so I don't think it's a common issue.

Finally I can use my Android intelligently. I don't need the upgrades but I might buy one just to support the developer. Update This app does not get along with Skype. International calls fail.
