Website Shortcut for Android
I was looking for a way to organize links into 'apps'. Within 30 seconds I had created one for a column in a business publication that I read often. Much easier than bookmarking. Thanks to the author.**update** Still using the app but links that are created usually mysteriously disappear. Not sure if its the app, phone or software but constantly rebuilding link library
EXACTLY as advertised. I wanted to put home screen shortcuts from many things of similar content, some that open in an app and some that open in browser... now I can have all related content I want organized right there on my desktop... using this free app... this is why there is still hope that corporations haven't taken over the Internet yet, because cool little tools like this that this, offered for free from awesome people like this Dev. Well done good man!
Perfect, love it! This app is short, sweet, simple and does what it was designed to do very well. Go to a website and copy the URL, paste it here and give it a name and/or a photo if you like, click "create" and you have a nice little custom desktop icon to that site instead of fumbling thru long lists of browser bookmarks. This is great. Good job, Deltac! :)
Loved the app add, no ads and simple to learn. Annoyed with resolution terminology. "Dimension" and "resize" are related to linear distance; "resolution" is pixel density. However, I would love an icon resizing option in that the auto icons are too big for me. Perhaps this would allow more room for the name.
An easy-to-use app that can create icons using saved images for your favourite website shortcuts. If you can't get the right image I would recommend using the "Simple Text" app to generate your own text-containing icons.
I absolutely love this app. I've been looking for this for a long time. The ui is lackluster but it works so it's not a big deal.
Brilliant! Love this app. Searched and downloaded others spps with frustration. Downloaded this and in under a minute had completed 5 bookmarks. Wish I had found this first on the blogs!
First review on an app that I've ever made. I have severe OCD and love to personalize my phone to my convenience. This is truly a great app that I would recommend to anyone. It's exactly what I need. No hassle to use. Best bookmark app!
Love the ability to create custom Web desktop shortcuts, especially with the ability to specify custom icons. Great implementation, logical and easy to use. Wish I had known about it earlier. Highly recommended.
Everytime I restart my phone (Samsung Note 5, Android 7) the icons are replaced with the app's generic icon. I installed this app so the icons from the shortcut would stick. Is there a fix for this? Is there a way to save the shortcut icons? I would give it 5 stars if this problem is fixed.
Compared to all the other ones out there this one comes out top notch. It keeps everything very simple and right to the point of creating your own personal ICON to a website address. The only room for improvements I can see is to let you customize the app. For example, let you set defaults or let you browse the Internet to pick out a website address while setting a website name.
Exactly what I was looking for. I use it in combination with the new Firefox Focus browser (no ads, no tracking, super lean), which doesn't have a bookmarking/favourites function. But actually it is faster to use Website Shortcuts than a browser's bookmarks, since it needs only one click to access websites from a phone's home screen. When creating shortcuts, it almost always automatically recognises the right icon and name for the website.
Installed with play store, could not do it with phone app store. Seems to run properly when launched, says it creates shortcuts I request for URLs but then I cannot find them on the home page (or anywhere else on the phone for that matter). Any ideas?
I love this app but it looks like permissions have changed with Oreo. It no longer creates shortcuts with Android 8.
Wow, so simple, but I can't do without. I tried to open a Dutch Wikipedia page, but Google Chrome always used the official version of Wikipedia app. I had to uninstall that and now use this shortcut to the web site. Solved!
Very good app. I like the powerful interface, as a power user, but would like an easier way to add icons, like how PC firefox does for its shortcuts that you drag to the favorites bar.
Install errors, can not install this app, download hangs evry time if i start install from g. play. Works only manual download and install .apk file.
Awesome!!! Just what I was searching for. Easy to use. The share option for the URL is great. Now if you could add a app lock type function to the shortcut it would be even more powerful. Great job!
Awesome app.. You can create shortcuts to any websites /services online instead of using widgets or apps for the same.. Saves so much battery as you do not even need to install the app
Good app, although phone keeps wiping names from the shortcuts that's VERY annoying IMO. I think this is when the phone is forcefully turned off (battery dead etc.)
Create shortcuts to web pages. I would like to see a list of shortcuts in this app in case I need to create a new one and I have deleted the old one from the Android Home Screen.
Doesn't see this app in the browser app list during opening a URL by tapping to a URL. Wish to create website icon by searching image from internet and grab a portion as the icon
Ticks all the boxes for ease of use (even for a novice), what YOU want to include & how the final product is presented. SPOT ON.
This is a function that should have been included in the OS. Gave 4 stars until I have used it more than one day
Does exactly what it says on the lid ie creates shortcuts to websites Very easy to set up - thanks
Way fast and easy to use. Works. Where's the donate link to show appreciation and gratitude?
Suggestion: Allow optional icon overlays. E.g. Shortcut arrow. Also, is it possible to edit existing shortcuts?
Finally can use my own images as the icon for a URL shortcut on my homepage. Great app.
Wish to create website icon by searching image from internet and grab a portion as the icon. Thanks
Easy to use. Super fast. Very functional. I can't believe this isn't more popular.
PERFECT. Just what everyone needs to use with the new Samsung browser on the S7. Thanks so much.
Easy to use as is and also customizable. Where i want to go in one touch.
It works great. I like that you can customize the name and icon. Nice work.
One of the most helpful apps created thanks so much!
This is just what I need. Thanks to the developers!
So simple that I highly recommend.
Does exactly what I need it to do!
Simple but very usefull app
Works very well

Great app. I like that you can open each individual shortcut in different apps/browsers no just one main app or browser for shortcut that is launched. Very useful when I multitasking a lot. I find it a lot easier by going to any app or browser and just share URL to app. And give it a name. Then add to home screen. This important for certain sites I want to pull up I mean navigate to very quickly. No more navigating a lot or scrolling through a bunch of in app browser bookmarks to certain main favorite webpages. Two thumbs to development team for making this app. I recommend. UI could be improved. But it gets the job done.
