ICS Voice Search Shortcut

Google removed the ability to create a Voice Search icon on the homescreen for some selfish and manipulative reason. This app brings it back! However, since this app is now more important than ever, a minor update to bring it to modern standards would be appreciated :)

Google just recently disabled creating a shortcut to voice search for some stupid reason. I was previously using quick shortcut maker, which now no longer works. This works like a charm.

The app does something that unquestionably should still be baked into android, but it does it well. 5 stars.

The app doesn't launch Google Voice Search, as described, but the Google Assistant.

Was able to replace my missing google voice search icon.

Iam impressed very good in finding map locations. Seems to be good overall I will donate. Much better than my voice search that in my phone to the developers continue your good work make it as good as you can 4 stars for now because I'm still using your app I will be back in a month for better report on your app. C.D.L. FINALLY an app for Google Voice that ACTUALLY works! A simple Microphone Icon on home screen that, when tapped, responds EXACTLY the way you want it to: Google starts listening for your verbal input. (My previous Motorola phone had the app as stock... replacing Samsung S7's inept "S Voice" that, when asked for a particular taxi, for example, replies with "please sign in to the Uber App". WTF?!!) I donated $3.99 and this is the smart way to create an app: give the option to purchase your freedom.

Got so upset when I updated Google voice search and the VS icon disappeared. Helps me skip unnecessary step to use VS.

I lost my icon on my 2 year old android and forgot all about the app til my gf got a new phone and had it pre-installed. after much searching i found this app. works excellent. just remember to set set browser to ''use as default'' so app will go directly where you want it to.

My google search on my car radio that runs 4.1.1 JB didn't have the microphone button in the google search box and OK google doesn't work with 4.1. This shortcut lets me go directly to the google voice search (it comes up already listening). Now I can just touch this shortcut icon and say "Navigate to XYZ" and away I go. The nag to donate every ten uses seems fair/reasonable for a free app.

I used VS all the time. Got a new phone and my tab received the OTA ICS update. I was shocked that there was no longer the icon that I was used to. You guys fixed it! Thanks!

Yeah, kind of weird that my Galaxy S3 only had the google search icon, but no direct shortcut to a google voice shortcut. This is exactly what I needed. I put it on my lock screen to allow me to send voice commands without pushing a bunch of buttons.
