About Letters Launcher

- It's designed for phones for one handed use. Touch targets are biased towards the bottom of the screen so as to be easily within the thumb's reach.

- It's lightweight and fast. The download size is than 0.7MB and when installed, it occupies just over 2MB.

- Very minimal app permissions required.

- By default, sliding through the keys displays the apps that begin with the selected letter. Each letter/number key may be assigned to an app which can then be automatically launched just by long-holding the key.

- long-pressing on a selected application takes you to its instance on the application manager.

- Aside from the keys, there are also assignable filters at the bottom edge of the display. Filters behave almost like folders. Unlike traditional launcher folders, you don't have to close an open filter just to get to the next one. Simply slide/tap over the filter to show its contents.

- customizable keypad height

- customizable drawer parameters

- light/dark modes

- Instead of having an area for widgets while the app drawer is retracted, it just has a simple clock/date display. Swiping the area below/above the actual clock adjusts the screen brightness.

- Still need widgets? Assign a swipe gesture to launch a more traditional kind of home launcher. I recommend using Zeam launcher for this to keep things lightweight

Limitations:

- Although I wanted this launcher to have absolutely no special app permissions, I made an exception for "modify system settings" because i feel that the ability to adjust screen brightness is necessary enough to make this compromise.

- That said, screen brightness does not work when "auto-brightness" is set. This has to be manually turned off at Android's system settings.

- The clock does not automatically update real time. Although minimal, I decided to leave out the additional overhead for this process. Instead, it refreshes only when it pops up.

One of the best launchers out there in the simple category. PLEASE make at least one more update where top notification and bottom navigation panels are transparent (wallpaper covers whole screen, no black space) It'll look so much better. I appreciate that we can change filter names. I like to label them with emoji and it looks very nice. Maybe have option for less than then the 6 available filters?

This launcher is fantastic! A great concept, executed very well. Please keep development in progress and adding tweaks/features. //My suggestions// **Larger range of font sizes, fifteen point is still a bit large on most devices. **Option to show app icons (yes, icons are a nice touch sometimes) **Hide apps **Add 'shortcuts' to filter pages

Dev doesn't really understand what he's done with this app - He's abandoned a gem !! Massive disservice to users who've given him a high rating..

I was using most of popular and not well known launchers on the market and at last I have found a perfect one. It's extremely small, what makes it fast, simple yet innovative. I loved the idea of the Letters. Just tap on a first letter of a name of app you want to launch and it shows you a list of all apps which name starts with that letter. It's so simple yet extremely fast to use and intuitive. Brings a new way to use old fashioned Android desktop. 5 stars is not enough for this app.

Really great. I hope you would add more customizations to the clock information panel such as unread mail, messages, missed calls, etc.

Been a huge admirer of the "Simple Is Best" philosophy. This is one of the best examples of the philosophy being put into practice. Never used custom launcher before this and don't think will need to test any other. Good Work and please keep it up.. P.S. A tutorial explaining the functionality would be appreciated. Not so geeks (me) took some time understanding this, (still haven't though). Keeps crashing in landscape mode. Please fix this.

The unique design may be simple yet the functionality of the filters provides a clean yet instant access to all the apps you really need. It's fast and all apps are instantly available to you anytime. No more swiping, looking for apps. With the keyboard always ready, just type in the app you need and voila! I have relied so much on icons to get me through my apps, and thought this would take some getting used to since it's all just letters.. But I instantly loved it after learning how to customize it.

Fairly simple app and it works great. The keys are confusing, so it would be great if there was a tutorial available. Also are there any settings for the launcher?

Useful and time saving as sometimes i forgot the location of thrm..

I fundamentally disagree with the concept and it's also not suited well to small phones but perhaps the experience on a larger (or at least wider) phone would be better.

Doesn't quite suit my taste, but it runs quickly on my older devices. No bugs to be seen (yet).

Fast launcher which does what it says with a small footprint. However it's not my cup of tea :)
