It says "retro inspired" in the description. However the app is called 8 bit video game ringtones. The only truth in the title is the ringtones part. Shame on the hack developers for being so misleading.

Yes, they aren't official themes, more like remakes but that doesn't mean they completely suck. The only real issues I see with this app is that there is no way of at least making a playlist or some kind of in app list for personal favorites.

Really nice collection of high-quality chiptune ringtones. If you like the idea of 8-bit game ringtones, but don't want to use actual sound clips from a game because every time you play it from now until eternity you'll have the urge to check your phone, give this app a shot. Bonus points to the dev for not trying to gank more permissions than the app needs. The inevitable feature suggestion: I wish there were a selection of complementary 1-3 second sound clips for use as notification ringtones. Currently going through the dev's notification-sounds app; maybe there are some in there.
