External Keyboard Helper Pro

Great app but since I got an upgrade on my shield k1 android device my Bluetooth ZAggkeys autofit keyboard key's don't work Even though the keyboard is paired and connected via Bluetooth... Any ideas how to fix this with an update to the appkeyboard?

I use it with the Satechi BT Bluetooth Media Remote, and it works perfectly. (my Satechi BT media remote is the black iPhone version... But it works flawlessly even on Android) I've remapped the 'mute' key to 'fast-forward' and the 'show-keyboard' key to 'Rewind'. Perfect!

Worked like a charm. Now my Swedish Samsung SmartTV keyboard (VG-KBD1500) works with my Nvidia Shield in my native Icelandic language.

For a long time searched for an app, that would let me type in Lithuanian on physical keyboard, and this is the ONLY one that lets you do it - perfect, well worth the money.

Great, worked to get my Logitech K400 mapped for Norwegian keyboard on my Nvidia Shield TV. So strange, or just plain bad that Google haven't implemented keyboard mapping/ locale to Android TV OS..

Bought this app to connect a dual alphabet logitech K480 to a MK903 web TV, for which the app was great *****. As the keyboard supports 3 devices also tried it with my Cubot X12, this was a disaster and the app kept crashing, on deinstalling the X12, it completely cancelled the subscription and deinstalled on the MK903 too, had to go through the process again on the MK903. * Also want to try on a Samsung S4

I have a USB keyboard, and I am studying math. Using this application I am able to program the keys to type math symbols. This app makes my keyboard infinitely more versatile.

Amazing app, i tried almost 10 app to write persian with my new external keyboard connected to my samsung galaxy tablet and this is the only app that worked. Throughly worth to pay. Thanks

Brilliant, allowed me to map enter on a bluetooth keyboard so pressing enter sends messages and behaves like enter on a PC basically.

I looked for easy binding keyboard buttons with my USB keyboard. And it solves my requirements for instance remaping switching layouts shortcut or remaping single buttons functionality.

Used it to change an english bluetooth keyboard to icelandic on my LG G3 which did not support it. Worked perfectly.

Finally I can use proper swedish dvorak with my phone and tablet so that I can write fast and accurately again! Great :)

I have a Belkin Bluetooth keyboard specially made for Android. I can type in English with this keyboard very comfortably. However, for a long time, i was searching for something that might enable me to type in my native toungue - Marathi. Then after a long search i chanced upon EKH keyboard switching app. And my search ended right there. This is the THE app. Now I can connect my Bluetooth keyboard and simply start typing in Marathi! ** NOTE - THE DEVANAGARI KEYBORD CONFIGURED IN THIS APP IS UNICODE ONE.

I only needed to adjust a few keys (swap currency symbols without changing entire keyboard layout) on my Pixel keyboard but this worked just fine. Would be nice if there were more options for turning the "Bluetooth Keyboard connected!" notification off, my tablet is always docked and I don't need to see this every time BT wakes up.

For convenience I wanted to hook up a wireless keyboard and mouse to my tablet (typing on it now). Both use a dongle, so I got an OTG cable and plugged a USB hub into it for the single input in the tablet, plugged the two dongles into the hub and did a little configuring. I cast to a TV, so I can kick back on the couch and have a 46" monitor. No hiccoughs at all.

This app is awesome - it let me do such crazy things as switch ctrl and alt, switch caps lock and backspace, and use Dvorak. Totally and completely worth the $2 I paid. I would have probably paid more. Cheers!

I am currently using the keyboard I remapped with this application to write this review. My BT keyboard had an English layout, but for some strange reason, my tablet didn't recognize it as such. Being a native Spanish speaker I needed the US international layout because of the accents. Worth the $1.99

Pending email response from developer - unable to load in custom layouts from the Demo version on Google Pixel C, and there's a frustrating bug in google sheets that results in the first character entered into a cell being duplicated. Common to a lot of bluetooth keyboards, but not in the Google Keyboard - Frustrating stuff with such a functional app.

Now I can use wide variety of keyboard layouts. It's very important because my language isn't supported by Google (Polish programmer's layout). I use it since old Android 2.x days, still best 3rd party BT keyboard driver! Must have for BT keyboard users that want to map more than US layout.

I bought a bluetooth keyboard because I often need to input faster than I can "text". After I upgraded my device (gt-p3113) to the last supported version of android, languages could no longer be changed when using an external keyboard, and I type in multiple languages that require specialized characters. On the PC this was handled easily, but I am more often away from the computer and thus my need for the keyboard for the android. My daughter has a keyboard that has a specific process for switching languages that works fine on her device, but didn't work when I tried it on mine. I tried several apps,all claiming to be able to switch the keyboard layout, but none of them worked. Until now. THIS app works with every single input language that android offers, AND it also allows me to map the 3 most commonly used languages to a specific hotkey or combination. While it would be nice to have "suggestions" when typing, any pop up to do this would get in the way of my typing. The apps always alert me to "typos", with the option to tap for suggestions, which is more than sufficient. Thank you for this app

I bought a Bluetooth keyboard for my tablet which was supposedly a UK one, but displayed a # symbol whenever the £ key was pressed. This app sorted the problem instantly.

Highly recommended!! On my external PixelC keyboard fixed instantly ongoing issues with special keys in apps like Citrix and terminal emulators: no more pain with the special characters!!! Mate, hats off! Cheers

I'm using Tayogo BT keyboard with my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 The BT keboard is designed for IPAD 2 so it has somme issues with the key placement. though I got the pro version, the isues presist as follows: ** 1) instead of [Esc] key there is the [Home] key where I cannot remap to [Back] because I cannot get its scan code. Whenever I try to get its code, the program goes to the background as the [Home] key is pressed. ** 2) there is an [Eject] key to eject or dismount the attached storage media, but it acts like power key. Also, remapping is impossible where it switches the tablet screen off whernever is pressed to scan its code. ** 3) whenever I type a capital letter by holding [Shift] and the letter then pressing [Space] i.e. when typing "I ", the keboard layout is changed. I need to keep this facility where I need two keboard layouts, but I need to make it slower in response. ** 4) The keboard disconneccts periodically whenever it is left idle so when Istarted to type again the dialouge that enforces to reassign samsung soft keboard as a default one appears and I need to select the EKH pro again. Really needed a quick solution to remove the virtual (soft, onscreen) keyboard while using a Bluetooth KB with my Samsung S5 running under Android 6.0.1. Tried it out with the free version for 2 minutes, bot the Pro edition in another 2 minutes, and had it up and running in 5 minutes. Great little app!

Good app but it took away a feature that's very important during the on-screen keyboard operation: the suggestions list is gone even after I have returned to the on-screen keyboard. restarting apps doesn't help; probably need to reboot.

I've used it on all my tablets with external bluetooth keyboards, for years. It works great, as expected, and zero problems. I never have a probelm with my device recognizing and selecting my keyboard default. Updated May 2016 - This is still the ABSOLUTE BEST External Keyboard Manager. I use this with my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (using an external Bluetooth Keyboard) and this app allows an almost seamless recognition and integration of my BT keyboard. There are many settings available to help tweak any problems, and with the ongoing app upgrades, this app continues to RANK a 5.0. Bought new tablet. This was the third app I installed from a titanium backup of my old tablet. As expected, it just worked. Tack apedroid!

Works a treat on my Sony Bravia Android TV. I can now launch side loaded apps via keyboard shortcuts instead of having to launch them from within several menus. Recommended.

Remix OS 2.0 has no Thai Keyboard Layout in selection. Using Google Keyboard or other didn't help but this External Keyboard Helper did! I can even change Layout using Grave Accent very easy.

This is for when you have a Bluetooth keyboard and dont need the on screen keyboard.

It works like a charm. Happy that I can use Google Input Method together with bluetooth keyboard now!

would love to be able to map a key to actions such as swipe left right down up so that i v can read my e-books without touching the screen every time i want to turn the page
