AdaptivePack - Pixel + Oreo style Adaptive Icons for Android
I want to love it, but I just can't. The selection isn't great at the moment (missing some very popular apps such as Pulse SMS and Flamingo), but that could easily improve over time. I do wish it would fall back onto an icon mask for your selected shape. It is able to do so with circular icons enabled in Action settings, so why can't I do it with this pack applied? Perhaps it will get better, but for now, I'm sticking to a dedicated icon pack for my desired shape.
;tldr - only buy it to support the dev. I'm a long time follower and purchaser of apps from this dev so I bought this to support him and because I thought even if it's limited to start with, it'll soon improve. However, it's a brand new icon pack that hasn't had any updates for almost a month now, which is massively slower than other icon packs or even updates for his other apps. I couldn't in good faith recommend this to anyone atm...
Great app. Found a small bug though. I'm a developer too and added adaptive icons to my apps awhile ago. However, they don't seem to change shape with the adaptivepack icons. However, I can confirm they do change when I use the pixel launcher and change settings. Edit: as soon as I long pressed on my apps icon and clicked edit, it was fixed. So maybe it doesn't redraw or something.
Just bought it cause of the developer. You are an awesome guy with amazing talents. Keep going! P.S. This app right now is not so good with very little icons. But I have my trust in you. Update it with more please.
this thing has too little going for it and its 7 bucks. it only did just release so hopefully more will be added in time (oh yea and there's no calender icon dafuq)
This is a decent icon pack. The only problems I have with this icon pack is that it looks too flat compared to your typical material design icon and that some icons for apps I have installed don't apply automatically. Other than that, keep up the good work.
It's obviously very early days, so be prepared for an extremely limited (and puzzling) selection of icons. There are also some mistakes in colour and design of some of the more popular apps. Worth it to support the developer. But long term will need some work.
At this point disappointed because stock apps look horrible. Not the developers fault. Apps with supported icons such as Amazon or stock apps look decent. May switch back to this once more icons are supported.
I would say that if you're a fan of Chris's work it's worth a purchase. As it is, the icon selection is a bit limited (no calendar, what?!), but I have full faith that it will continue to expand and so it's worthwhile to get it and see how it develops. I like its visual simplicity and tight integration with Action Launcher.
It's okay.... It doesn't automatically theme all the icons. You have to do it manually for many icons. Several of my icons won't theme. To spend 5 bucks on an icon pack and it is basically half assed is frustrating. Nova does this for free and it works like it is supposed to. I wasted my money on this.
Amazing additional to action launcher. It's not perfect yet, with some apps missing, but I believe everything will be ironed out in the future, considering the track record of this amazing developer
It does nothing... No app icons are changed. And I tried it more than once to change it to this icon pack. A hefty price for nothing..
Good app just need lots more icons and maybe custom icon shapes too. Wish I could use on all launchers. Also stop posting 5 star comments saying 'love u Chris' or something
A good start. It's a small enough icon pack (lacks a single calendar!) that I don't think it's worth $3:49. However, I didn't buy it so much to have it as to support Action Launcher's developer, and that's worth a few bucks any day. Thank you, Chris Lacy!
The existing icons are nice, but very few. Additionally, there's no icon masking for unsupported apps. So I'm just hoping more icons and masking support will be added in future releases. Anyways, I mainly bought the app for supporting ActionLauncher development.
Fantastic! Off to an amazing start. My humble addition is that the images were "zoomed in" a bit more, with less background - - particularly the Google ones, like Google Drive icon. Either way, love to have this one. Cool that he includes Brave browser icon right from the start
Really, really nice set of true adaptive icons for many popular apps like Facebook, Instagram, Pokémon GO, etc. that make your home screen look much nicer. You probably have a few more niche apps that you'll need to find your own replacement for, but AdaptivePack does the bulk of the work for you on most of your apps.
The Firefox icon looks weird And teardrop icons should have a T (top), TL, TR, B (bottom), BL variants.
By far one of the best out of the box thinker as far as developers go. Will always support Chris on anything he creates. Great job. Keep up the excellent work. :)
I'll support everything you do for action launcher. It's hands down the only launcher I can use. Thanks so much for bringing even more extra features.
This app is a mixed bag. Action Launcher is the best launcher for Android purists who are looking for a good clean experience on their phone rather than something like TouchWiz or LG Home. I believe this means people want to hold this icon pack to the same high standards to improve their software experience. So, with the release of Android 8.0 Oreo we got adaptive icons. Now, this icon pack is a great start to making Adaptive Icons work for all devices using action Launcher but I've encountered a few problems. A.) The lack of icons. This is a problem that can be fixed easily. For starters implementing the final system apps such as Google Calendar and Google Clock. (By the way the settings icon is from Nougat not Oreo) B.) The icons seem to be a lower resolution than other icon packs. I don't know if changing that is easy or difficult but they are. Anyway, you seem to be a talented developer and thanks for making this icon pack. Good luck!
Bottom line: until icon masking, or native reading of Oreos adaptive icons we are basically purchasing a promise not software. Chris is known for keeping his promises so will revise the review later.
Too few icons, bought only as support for local Dev as I like action launcher. As an icon pack it's a very poor offering. Hopefully it will improve at a quick pace.
A very good start indeed. However I have tons of apps that aren't supported yet. I have placed a requests let's see....
I really don't get what this app does which Action L wasn't already doing, but since Chris Lacy made this, I bought this.
I expected more but got less for what I have paid , hope developer will make it better
Bought it to support the dev. Hope it gets better, but now I'm going back to my old icon pack.
Sure, it only has 500 icons to start, but I'm sure that will increase over time. I love the concept of adaptive icons for apps that don't support them natively, and I mostly don't like the design third party icon packs
Bought to support the dev. Action launcher has been my daily driver for years. About the product: it's an icon pack with very clean designs. A bit pricey, but well worth the money, IMO.
Not too many icons right now but I assume that's because the author is waiting for requests to be made first. So buy it now and get your requests in early or wait for the list to eventually fill out.
It's a good concept and I'm sure it will greatly improve over time, my only complaint is that the icons seem very low res.
Great start but not quite...I purchased mainly to support development of Action Launcher and it'll be a long road to compare to the 6500+ icon Android Oreo icon pack that I currently use.
6$ without taxes for an apps that it's not fully working. I used to support you not anymore. Bye-bye
Great set of icons, looking forward to seeing more added!
Most money I've ever spent for an icon pack, but this developer deserves support, and I'm happy to give him mine. Action Launcher forever!
Haters are going to hate but this is a kick ass addition to action launcher
I'm sorry ! I bought it but I couldn't see any different (-_-;)
No updates since initial release. Not a good sign.
I hope since this is a paid app, there will be an update for the little animations that run upon closing an app in oreo.

I mainly bought the App to support the developer and I'm fine with that. But honestly, I expected more from this Icon Pack. It only comes with 500 icons right now (compared to over 2.000+ icons from other Icon Packs), and there is no option for Icon masking or something similar. And worst of all, Icons for many common Apps (like Feedly, IMDb, Wikipedia or Microsoft Authenticator) are missing completely. I hope we will see regular updates that add more Icons in the future. Keep that in mind, bevor you buy!
