NeyetLight for Android
Work good.
Decent app!
This one does not work like f.lux or redshift. At least not on O-LED screens. It creates a very bad looking orange tints, but definitely not similar to f.lux does. On f.lux, blacks are black for example. On this one, blacks are orange as well.
5 stars! This is an essential app for me. Its superior to flu.x as it allows you to manipulate the color temperature to even darker levels
{Eliminates blue light at night, which in theory helps circadian rhythm. An alternative to sleep monitoring apps and sleep studies...}
Just may take a little tweaking to fit you eyes.
Keep your money.
Decent app!
Great, but would be greater if sun rise/set were location-automatic.
Just may take a little tweaking to fit you eyes.
Was this intentional? Now it is starting to break other apps including an ir remote control app. I have to disable neyetlight to get that app to work. It used to be good, but I can't recommend this anymore and the developer is pretty unresponsive.
The app works ok, but the battery usage is excessive and I've been forced to switch to Screen Filter.
Work good.
which is to delete the blue light from the screen at night, when I should be sleeping, but I am not.
The extra dimming feature is my favorite. It's a fantastic app for what it is.
Keeps my eyes happy at night when I'm looking at my phone.
Awesome
I really enjoy that it changes automatically :) and it's so much easier to look at my phone in the dark.
Issue with screen flickering however.
Greatest app ever after sundown
Very good app
Decent app!
Love it
Works perfectly on multiple devices
Does what it claimed.
work as expected
More of a brown overlay than an actual tint filter like f.lux on my IPS Nook Color, and it interferes with video playback (no picture on YouTube and many Flash videos or video refuses to play at all). Also the Install button for any app refuses to work in the Amazon Appstore. All of these problems are instantly remedied by disabling NeyetLight. Otherwise the app works well enough for nighttime reading and surfing. Blue light is cut and I can go below the minimum brightness setting when needed. I'd complain about automatic sunrise/set settings, but I live in a place where cloudly skies dominate the winters: so I just leave it running constantly.
This was the first app I bought as I have been desperately searching ways to help my insomnia. There are some other color tint apps on here but you can't time them, I think. I really wish the author had a trial version before I wasted my time and money. First of all, it doesn't start on boot. This is very, very annoying. There are hacky ways to get around this I'm sure but it's too much trouble. Also, i tend to stay away from apps that won't let you disable the status bar notification. It's just a bad coding practice done I guess to keep the app from getting killed by the system when the notification has no information to offer and wastes space on your notification bar. It also messes with the brightness control on the rest of your phone which was just too much for me since I'd have to go into the app and manually adjust it during the day. And really, it's a no brainer to grab real sunrise/sunset times from your location. Setting it manually is pretty ridiculous.
This thing needs a lot of tweaking, but the main win is turning on 'extra dimming', which can make the screen very dim indeed. Colour helps but is more of a muddy overlay than true temp change.
If you are looking for an f.lux android app, this is it. It does not automatically adjust the times though. It would be nice as a Latitude plugin.
I got this because I saw similar app for computer on the Dr's tv show. I applied ap to computer then phone. This app takes some tweeking to get just the right color u want. I wish app would re start after turning off phone. I play words withfriends B4 bed and it is easier on my eyes. I have found it also it easier to read in day due to slight color and filter on screen. I don' use youtube, so not sure if it is true you have to shut it off~Samsung instinct
This app crashes on my Motorola Photon Q constantly I have tried all that I know how to do to try and keep it from crashing including emailing the dev but he has not figured it out. Guess I move on and chalk it up as a lesson learned... :( 0 stars!!!
Thanks this app is great because I was getting ba headaches from eye strain. An auto brightness feature would be nice but its good for me.
Great app.. my only gripe is GPS issues but this may be my phone.. highly recommended despite this!
If you came here hoping to find a mobile version of f.lux, don't bother. Not only doe this one costs money but it's a vastly inferior and poorly made "alternative". The default settings are gonna turn your screen in to an orange slate, making it impossible to use. It will allso lock up you dynamic brightness if you have it enabled and will lock out other apps from changing it, i.e. readers won't be able to dim the lights. And if all that is not convincing enough - the auto color change does not work.
I recently had to factory reset my LG Optimus G, and it updated something in the OS that is making the sunrise and sunset transitions take one second instead of multiple minutes. It's really jarring. Could y'all look into that?
Sometimes when I stop service it disables automatic brightness and put it to max - Htc desire z. Never happened on motorola milestone UI not coresponding with >ICS
Just may take a little tweaking to fit you eyes.
Easy install and setup.Works great and I think does improve sleep.

Keep your money BUT the developer has a very hard head. I told him his app doesn't stay running he says something is wrong with my phone. I have tried this app on 4 different phones and the same thing happens it runs for a while then stops for no reason! If the dev didn't have an ego the size of Texas he'd have a top of the line selling app.
