Stock Black Substratum Theme [+ Samsung & Legacy]

Seems the most comprehensive black theme. Wish there was an option for white accents though.

Cannot compile WhatsApp Beta. It starts, but then hangs on.

At first I was really excited and liked it. After a while, I felt annoyed by such a buggy theme. The developer isn't fully at fault, Substratum is the worst thing that's happened to the theming community. Edit: I rated it higher because it wasn't fair.

Everything is great running the latest official release of dirty unicorns. Chrome beta force closes on opening of a new tab though the apk is the latest on the PS. PIXEL XL June security patch update overall fails to build and install I'll email log now

Color inversion isn't a quick or easy overhaul, there are often so many edge cases where contrast is off, etc. There are 3 major Devs developing black substratum themes, and each has its drawbacks. This dev is incredibly solid though, and the few bugs I have found he was quick and responsive as long as I could provide screenshots and ui IDs. Great dev, and solid theme. Definitely going to be my daily driver as long he supports it, and I will continue to support his other endeavours, tenacity in pursuit of quality.

The notifications panel/quick settings panel isn't black in RR ROM,it has oms support built in. Why haven't you added the black color yet

Theme colors are amazing! Unlike other themes that simply "black out" apps, this theme retains the colored features. Also it's one of the only, if not the only, theme that allows very dark or true black notifications. All of that is not even to mention that the dev will go to the end of the earth and back to help you solve problems, even if you're one out of a thousand having that issue! Could not recommend more

Been using this theme on my outdated Pure Nexus ROM for over a year and it's been exactly what I wanted; blacked out UI, SMS, and all other apps. Rarely, YouTube, Gmail and other apps will force close, but most of the time you just need to update. I turned off updates because there were frequent notifications on them, but just keep a look out for em'. As long as you know how to install correctly, update and reload the theme, you won't have any problems. All these negative reviews- just do some research, figure out what you're doing wrong and you won't have issues. And I'm sure I'll see less issues if I update my ROM, but I'm too lazy for a clean install. Overall, one of the best blacked out themes out of the other 5 I've purchased. Thanks a bunch!

It's not that amazing of a skin and the developer constantly spams. I use it virtually only for the black notifications and use swift black for everything else. It would be a 3 if I didn't get constant notifications and toast messages to give it a 5 star. I had to block it on a previous version To clarify, the old versions would spam you to rate 5 stars in the notification everytime you open it. And now when you open it, it also tells you rate 5 stars in the toast now. When I have lucky patcher it spammed me but that was only once. And there is also update notifications which can be helpful but I have the playstore for that. I will be blocking this app again. The developer has already replied and literally just denied it followed by an immature face. He then continued to be both unprofessional and immature so I'm going to lower it to 1 because I don't want him to be supported. Also this is the only theme that I have had numerous problems that takes me dozens of restarts reinstalls and other things to try to get work.

Great, simple theme, exactly what I need. Just changed the contact app from Android to Google and this worked great! After each WhatsApp-update (stable; not beta) WhatsApp crashed (but this might be a problem of WhatsApp or Substratum)

Well, after I had to reset my one plus 3t 4 times because of that theme, I got swift black (another theme) which worked perfect from the first restart. There are so many things wrong with that theme... At one point I could not read the settings, cause it turned the font black too (real smart)... Same for the YouTube app... If you are a one plus user, try another theme, and skip this one..!

Good theme, sometimes I get a white splash screen using Gmail app and as like every dark them, some notifications are unreadable

For OnePlusX Lineage Android 7.1.1, 1) settings page has gray background I wish it was pure black 2) Settings > Additional Buttons page is still white 3) WhatsApp . When Applied the message bubbles also disappears. Only test with black color remains. Hence its bit hard to find if its a sent (by you) text or received text. I think the text and the bubbles should have its original color and background is black 4) WhatsApp. When a stranger send you a message and you want to add it to your EXISTING contact from WhatsApp, in that stage, all the contact name texts appear black on the black background Hence you cannot see the name. 4) WhatsApp. When you scroll up in your chat history, an arrow appears on right lower corner that lets you get back to present chat (immediate scroll down) That arrow is no longer visible. Only black circle Even with these shortcomings, I think this is a good theme.

Excellent theme! Have an issue with notification for clock app. Dark blue makes stopwatch notification hard to use.

This is a great Substratum theme!!! Just an idea, maybe have the option on the pixel launcher to change the home screen font color to pixel blue.Either way ,no worries it's a wonderful theme, keep up the great work!

Nexus 6P / Rom: Pure Nexus: So far the best dark ROM. I have Swift, Spectrum, and Lone. I find that STB gives a cleaner experience And the improvements get better with time too.
