GeoGuess: Random Location Game

I've gotten really good at this. My problem is by the time I'm about to guess my third location, it crashes. The app crashes and I have to start over. Why is it trying to keep me from my perfect score? I've been a matter of seconds from 15000 points and it crashes. Do you understand how frustrating that is? The concept of this game is five stars but with it crashing, it's not even worth the one star I've given it.

My husband introduced me to this app. (My oldest son introduced him) ???? My husband LOVES the challenge and is pretty good at it. Now I'm hooked, too. We try and beat each others score! He's better than me .. lol.

I love this app and would be constantly playing it but it doesn't register my achievements! I just played a game on a time limit and got 23000 points (I've also played over 5 and over 10 games now) and it doesn't seem to add them to my achievements. It's a bit frustrating if you can't move up at all for new challenges.

I downloaded this game to learn the geography of the world but it keeps putting me in the same 3 spots on one continent

The game is great, but I hope they can fix the randomisation algorithm so that it doesn't drop you in a rainforest with no other information. You could be anywhere and it's only a decent guess if you get close

Wow! Some of these locations are super fiendish and make you search every detail - from what people are wearing to the colours of the number plates. I even got dropped inside an Australian classroom! Antarctica only has that one shipping port, although I suppose that's Google's fault for not doing street views of the south pole ????

The concept is good, the only problem is that it puts me in the same 10 spots. I get that it is random but not random enough. Lots of potential.???? All that I'm saying is that it needs work. Like making it not repeat the location.

Picked north America, one of 5 locations was actually in north America. Picked Canada, locations all obscure quad trails in the literal middle of no where. Half the locations were recorded by people and only allowed movement in small areas. This game is no fun if the locations have no way to identify them. Uninstalled, going back to web site.

Honestly this an awesome game, just double check on which flags are for each Country, I'm saying this because I saw Indonesia's flag with Mexico and Mexico's flag with Monaco... Just double checking is good so that this doesn't happen. Other than that I love it.

A bit fragile and fed up with having to abandon games. Running through a v fast WiFi connection but repeatedly sits loading. Timed games are a waste of time as the time is often used up before even the start location can load.

The idea and the game is great, but there are a few flaws. Sometimes, it takes a long time to load and I have to restart the app. Also, if you tap the "report problem" button, it tells you where it is, you you can use that to cheat. Also, you usually spawn on rural roads, and in obscure villages. Is there anyway that you could program it to be more in Urban areas? One time I literally spawned in the Middle of the ocean. The view was great, but it was impossible to guess where it was. Turns out it was in East Timor

Wanted access to microphone, contacts and a few other things it shouldn't need. Also wanted me to use some game launcher. Horrible experience, 0/10

I really enjoy being able to play this game on a mobile app, but I would enjoy it much more if the app worked better. It restarts my game any time I leave the app and come back, which is frustrating as I want to spend quite a lot of time in the app. I enjoy being as specific as I can and don't mind spending time searching for clues. Sometimes the locations take several minutes to load. (And on any occasion where my connection cuts out, it gets stuck on a loading screen unless I restart the app). Often individual images in the game take longer than I expect to sharpen (sometimes 5-15 seconds or more). While I know it may not be possible, it would be great if locations that are not connected to a network of roads be allowed to opt out of (such as photo tours of hotels, car dealerships, statues, and parks). It can be frustrating to guess a location based off of 1-5 photos, often with only the flora and maybe architecture to go off of. I appreciate the work for this app and the lack of intrusive ads (though I'd be ok with ads to support the app, such as a full screen ad between locations, especially if the next location is loading in the background). Thank you for making it and I hope to see improvements.

Love this game. You can be as detailed as you want. I'm playing mainly the country that I know, but a lot of the rounds take some real detective work... I check the shapes of hills and mountains, I look at the sky and clouds, and check for any visible text (street signs, notice boards, advertisements, etc). Really love it...

It's just an ok game. I get more random dirt roads than anything which is really frustrating. I've been playing for a few weeks and only had one city site. Mostly green pastures and desert roads. I wish it was more city centered so I can get to know different cities.

This game is the best game. Dropped in a weird place figure out were you are. I have seen a bunch of the world. I have had some laughs. Saw a dude broke down. The road I was on was long with no sign of a building. That would have sucked. Interesting things, if you look, can be found. I also have spawned inside stores, hotels and museums.

Exactly what I came here for, the hint bug is a bit annoying but it only hampers like .01% of play time. Good work.

Fun game, but the CONTINUOUS REMINDER OF HINTS is SO annoying... give me an option to turn it off and this is a four-star game.

Love it, but every time I try to play multiplayer it says "your opponent has left the game" after the first round. My opponent was sitting next to me and was still in the game! Updated but it's still happening Edit: I'd rather not use the data, sorry

Feels like i can go anywhere i want. But, i would like to suggest that lets google maps connected to this game. I mean, when the game reveal the actual location, this actual location when clicked would be good if it linked to google maps application that can show the location. This game has a potential to be a trip guide...

I like it but maybe add a game mode that's cities only I hate getting put in a forest somewhere

Crashes during single player gameplay. Very frustrating when almost completing 5th round!

Just bought the app. Make it more responsive (my internet connection and hardware are not the problem). Also add the ability for more than only 2 people for multiplayer. Otherwise it's a pretty good app.

Good game for the premise, bad map controls for guessing (zooming has a habit to rotate) pretty laggy but that's most likely from my phone's specs recommend to anyone who didn't spend less than 60 dollars quidd Euro pound etc on their phone

Great game but sometimes it drops you in strange places like inside a track field or on a sand bar in the middle of the ocean. Good luck figuring those out. Also if you go into the location picker and hit your back button, it ends the game instead of going back to the street view. That should be fixed. Also alot of duplicates, and yes some even twice in the same game. There are so many places in the world to chose from that even when random this would rarely happen. I think your randomization needs work

We played more than ten rounds and then we realised that the only places in the uk that it was choosing was scotland and wales send this to head office good day to you mighty quinn

I hate that the back button takes you out of an entire game, losing your progress. I know if I want to get off the map back onto streetview there's an in-game button, but when you're used to using the back button in other games you instinctively use that. Could at least use a "are you sure you want to quit?" prompt. Besides that, game is awesome and just as good as the PC version.

It keeps repeating places, at least in North America. I get Miami Beach, Greenland, Venezuela in almost every game. Sometimes the same exact place repeats during a game!

App works fine usually, but one thing that keeps bugging me is that every time I get off the app while it's still running, when I go back to it, it crashes or restarts the game.

Love the principle but it's all too anonymous! A country road, some fields and trees, maybe a farmhouse. Nothing to work on. How about some landmarks that could be recognisable?

Bug where option to start game doesn't appear when choosing to play against clock sometimes. Should explain that you can double tap the road to travel faster.
