About MasterEmu
A highly accurate native Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear emulator. This is my first Android app and the culmination of a project to port my C-based emulator from the PC platform. The feature set includes:
* Ad supported: all features are available free of charge though, and ads are not intrusive, only appearing in menus.
* Android TV support.
* Android 4.0 to 7.1 support.
* Physical controller support, for menus as well as in-game emulation.
* Keyboard support.
* European/US or Japanese console selection.
* Default ROM directory support.
* ZIP file support.
* Near perfect Master System and Game Gear emulation, at excellent speed.
* Saving and loading of emulation state from any point.
* Auto-handling of SRAM saves, for ROMs that use it (like Phantasy Star).
* Auto-rotation, as well as lockable screen orientation.
* Adjustable touchscreen button size, as well as dynamic button labelling depending on console type.
* Ability to optionally disable touch overlay if using controller.
* DPI-independent button size.
* File browser which can load ROMs off internal or external storage, in '.sms' or '.gg' format, and also with ZIP files.
* Widescreen (default) and 4:3 (optional) in horizontal mode.
* Ability to remove ads for a small fee.
Please note that ROMs must be legally obtained by the end-user. Please don't ask me where to get them, although constructive feedback on the emulator itself is welcome, including feature requests. I am a lone programmer and am not affiliated with Sega in any way. I hope you enjoy what I've created with MasterEmu!

Works great in my Sony Bravia TV with PS4 controller. Really cool being able to play Sega master system without a console or PC. Only issue is that GUI does not have a function for save file deletion. Can get confusing to navigate lots of old save files.

Seems to be a colour bug. When you rotate screen the color is great and then goes back to being red saturated. Its not my roms, they run perfectly on fusion on my pc. Running on Samsung S3. Solutions?

I absolutely love this emulator, as a long time SMS fan of nearly 30 years standing I found this to be the most accurate emulator. User friendly and fun, a perfect portable SMS.

Well hey a new emulator is always welcome. Some suggestions: lock aspect ratio instead of stretching, ability to turn off smoothing, add other filters like hq2x, ability to take screenshot. Keep up the good work!

Struggles with all versions of The Excellent Dizzy Collection for the Game Gear since most the ROMs are saved using a Master System format. If you rename the gg file to sms it works. Oddly works with other sms ROMs renamed to gg and vice versa.

I would really like master system 3D games to work side by side instead of frame-by-frame, so they work on Google Cardboard.

Works pretty well but the interface needs some work. And needs Support for compressed files.

The Sega Master System emulator works well, the only problem I have is the control pad. often if you slide your finger across the control it will not sense a touch, or it should be able to slide around because if your finger goes off it slightly it will stop the control. Also it won't load the game Transbot.

This is the one of many i have tried over the past few days and easily the best. It lets you designate a folder to automatically open roms from, buttons are easy to use and runs like a dream. Thank you developer for letting me relive my childhood.

Great, ad supported Sega Master System, and GG emulator!! Works great on my Sony 4k Android TV with an external SD card through USB adapter. Emu author responded quickly and professionally to the issue that I had, and updated lightning fast! We need more developers like this!!

It's free, it's under constant development AND it works great on Android TV. The developer is communicative and appreciates constructive feedback on board. It's early days yet, and there's a few things that need ironing out, but it's an excellent emulator as it is now, and has every potential to become the best Sega Master System emulator on the Play Store.

This Emulator has potential to be the best emulator in the Play Store but it lacks a few things. The ability to use Bluetooth or external controllers, better options in the options menu, the ability to touch the d-pad as well as the buttons a little bit better I have to tap and hold whatever direction I want to go and tap and hold whatever button I want to use. Once you do those few things I believe this app will be going places

Please put a way to configure Bluetooth controller such as 8Bitdo or similar and if possible tell why some options like no screen stretch disable even when I enable whim. And a screen rotating to for the next version, if you do it I buy your app.
