BBC CBeebies Playtime Island for Android
Worth it for Furchester Helping Hand alone! My little girl loves this app, especially the Peter Rabbit and Bing games, but her favourite is the Furchester game. This could easily be a stand alone game, (developers, if you read this!) I'd happily pay for it, and it would be lovely to adjust the difficulty level. I love how it gets harder the longer the child plays, but it would be good to start her at a harder level now she's played it so much!
Thought this game was great before the changes, my 2yr old had just got the hang of the games and now he's just confused and wants his old games back!!!
It was cool
Amazing
Such a shame,. I understand the app is free, which is fantastic and features many of the best Cbeebies shows. This only makes the next part worse as my daughter really wants to play some of the games. But it should not be released as it is, or needs serious updating. To echo others here, it crashes on a regular basis, the sound often dies, and there are more than enough visual glitches to confirm that whoever made this app failed to test is properly. A real shame. Compared to the BBC's other online output, this is a real poor showing. Either remove the app, or fix it.
I like it
I don't know why this app is so cack when the other cBeebies app works fine. Was warned it would crash and freeze all the time but ignored them. End result, tears and tantrum when I finally had to uninstall as it was freezing the whole tablet up. BBC should sack whichever company did the development on this one.
Crashes, freezes and loses sound for every app afterwards. Only get this for your kid if you love to see them cry and get frustrated. Whoever let this past testing should be sacked immediately.
It is a very good application, my son lives it, but......keeps losing sound across all of my devices which is annoying to say the least. The only way to get the sound back is to close the application and restart which takes my son back to the start and all progress lost resulting in a miserable 5 year old, if not for this problem would give 5 stars!
Since recent update it crashes on my Samsung Note3 when poe wakes up. Uu oooh.
I downloaded this app for my little sister and she loves it. Won't leave topsy and Tim at the farm. She also quite likes iplayer kids
It was rubbish cause it kept on blurring up
Worst game ever in the whole wide universe
My little boy loves this app but it will not function on our pad only on phone. Both are Samsung devices
My boy loves it. Never crashes for me but you do have to go into the options to turn the sound back on.
Its not loading proply but for andy thingy but Im seven I can play Its for seven years old
Breaks sound for whole device
This app is a battery eater
The same games from the website :-)
It lags a bit but it is still fun
I love this game because it is cool
Like game
I think that this game is Wonderful !!!!!
It is really good.
It is loads better know you can chose the games ????????????????????????????????????????????
BORINFMG
????????????
isaac loved it
Doesn't work on android, just hangs. Totally unusable. The other cbeebies apps have been fantastic but we have never got this one to load in a useable way. Despite a year of users complaints the developers have ignored the problem. If you have an android device you are best avoiding this app
Loved this game until recently. Not sure what's happened but the screen goes white and/or jumpy. Unusable!
Just tried the new version and it Still doesn't work, games keep loading......what the devil have your developers being doing this is going on for now for 10 months. my kids will have out grown this app before you get it fixed. This app is not ready for publication, it crashes, takes far too long to load and is therefore no good for kids
The games we were able to play were spot on for my son's age (34 months), however, the only ones that would load were the Topsy and Tim ones and then they often required such precision in placing animals etc. that even I was getting frustrated when the cow wouldn't be excepted into the correct pen. Not great for a toddler, my son ended up disappointed and fed up by it. A pity, as it has a lot of potential. Update to this review where I originally gave 2 stars. We haven't looked at this game since but came back to it today assuming the bugs would have been fixed. My son is now 43 months old and none of the problems from 10 months ago have been fixed. Extremely poor cbeebies, very disappointed 3.5 year old here.
Won't work, we choose a game and then just get the lighthouse loading symbol. Shame because my son used to love it before the update.
The resent update has stopped the games from running. It seems to download the individual games, however when trying to run them all we get is the lighthouse with the loading message. We've tried on a nexus 10 and Google pixel c.
This app is so disappointing! Been trying to play for an hour, lets you download games but then won't load up. One unhappy son ????
Think grandmaster glitch has been at this. Jumpy, screen white with bits of what you are supposed to see in corners when trying to download the games. Using Android maybe this is the problem
For their replacement for Playtime, it's lacking in games and the ones here are a bit ropey. Feels thrown together without much investment of time to make it good.
It refuses to work on an android system. I can download and add the individual islands but then when you load them to play we get stuck on the lighthouse loading screen. When downloading the islands too the screen glitches out and writing flashes and flys around the screen. Not impressed as my little girl was very upset after waiting for everything to download!
Never loads and when it does you can only get one game my son loves this so please sort this out please

Even after all the feedback this still crashes all the time, and not even on the graphic intensive games. I understand it's free which is great but this is just causing a nightmare of tantrums and upset. Galaxy tab S 10.1 runs high powered grown up games fine
