Love it it is best if you buy the paid version. Can beat it every now and then on level 8, level 10 always has an answer for me. I feel like my game has improved drasticly, but I am a work in progress. This game is the best.

The recent multi-player mode shows good vision but alas not so good implementation. You don't even know whether opponent has disconnected or not. Waiting for the other guy to play a move forever and it happens at least once in five games. Need a better approach to sort it out.

Some suggestions. 1.Cancel period for pro/online. This is different from undo. Unlike physical chess, sometimes you can mistakenly place a piece on a small screen. Give 3 seconds before the move is committed and sent to the opponent, and let users cancel the move within that period. 2. Let users set time limit for online games. Sometimes the opponent takes too much time, and I cannot be sure if he is thinking or just left the game for something else. Some kind of 'Are you there?' button would also be helpful. 3. Pressing the back button from member viewer screen of a game exits the game list screen. It should go back to the game list screen.

We need some new features added to improve online mode gameplay: e.g. A resign bottom will be really helpful. A optional timer to limit player's thinking time will be nice, it is cool to have a chat window--even a greeting window helps. I believe you guys can do these, since you created and maintained this great chess game so long. GJ !

Not good on HTC 10 running Android 8.0 (5.2" screen).

This no doubt is the best chess app. Running quite fine on a Pixel 2.

This is a beautiful chess app! I love chess, even though I’m not very proficient. My only nitpick is that perhaps the difficulty increases a bit too much between levels… But this is not a complaint; I’m still learning new strategies... it’s a wonderful challenge that I relish. I cannot recommend this app enough. The different boards you can select, along with different styles of pieces are excellent. Best purchase I’ve made in a long while! Stunning app.

I used the free version for over a year before I realized I could buy it... I did so. Great game and thanks for taking care of your players. This is the only chess game anyone needs to play.

Best chess app I've played Edit - would be great if you could make the board bigger while in split screen. Like remove the wood design surrounding the board. Maybe even the rectangle that shows captured pieces. After looking at it again, maybe you could put the captured pieces to the sides vertically and stretch the screen to fill the remaining space.

I got the free version of this before I knew better - bad mistake. Loaded with ads and drains your battery faster than a USB can charge it. But this version has nothing but the good stuff: - Nice interface - Good algorithm - Light battery use - Lots of control over difficulty A great program for beginner (it will teach you the game) through class player (I'm class B and it can kick my butt with levels to spare). Only thing that would make this better is more control over "style" for AI. Only has Casual and Pro. Would be great to have a few "personalities" or even controls for adjusting Aggressiveness vs. Positional Play. Still, can't take a star off: for 99 cents, you won't do better than this. Update:. All things in the game is better rhan other chess games. But no online multiplayer mode. If it has online formet it will super. I am waiting for online multiplayer update

Excellent play options for learners and for pros. I really like the way they did not blindly implement ELO but equalised it to level 1,2,.....12. I would really love if this goes into 3D with good graphic pieces and boards but this app is the BEST!!

Does exactly what you'd expect. Uses next to no battery thanks to its low CPU demand and simplistic yet effective graphics.

Edit : the animations are total disaster! They takes too much time and you can't interact until the animation is complete and I can't understand the concept of The opening screen (with "you are logged in/out of play games", 'play', and 'sound on' button) it's totally unnecessary and irritating.. One more useless tap to open the main screen with new games, load games etc useful features!) It should have a online mode to play with real players!

Didnt refund money not happhow the hell can a pawn move sideways on an empty sqaure and take a another pawn when pawn was place beside it.its cheats not happy do not get game and you dont get a refund .no way can a pawn move sideways on a emty sqaure i google it and its a illegal move.so computer cheats.

Nice, clean, and simple. Although the tutor definitely needs some work on giving you an idea of what you should be doing, as it just highlights a single piece and nothing more. I would also like to be able to hide the chess logo during the game.

Emm start playing by itself when you open the app...can not paste pgn from clipboard cannot load other game from file that was not played via this app...can't import komodo or other engine...so what is so good about it?

This chess cannot play online with friends even with pro version. No bluetooth, no wifi and no infrared connect. What a waste! I purchased the pro version for nothing! They already made allot of money from us purchasing the pro version but yet they did not use the budget to upgrade the games multiplayer sittings. I'll rate full star if they have this fixed!

It should have a online mode to play real players like chesscube.. It will be more addictive to play online real players

Once, YOU pay for it. Is perfect. Everyone should pay. Is less than a beer in the pub. ... but. Question is. Is this app learns anything? Or Is it working algorithm and all moves are preprogrammed?

No play style variety on the AI's part. Good app though.

For example to resign I have to press Menu/pic/resign/yes, I think it is too deep and not convenient.

An older version was better. I am not a chess expert. Level 1 is more like level 4 on my other chess game now.

Excellent app for all levels of play! Please consider adding distant two-player mode and 3D/360 degree perspective.

Yes I know that the program is searching for a move when it is waiting. But why do other chess engines do it a lot faster? I have to play level 11-12 for it to be challenging. And it drains the battery and my patience.
