About AR Chess
The AR Chess app uses augmented reality to create a virtual chess set that you can play in the real world. Download the app then go to the website where you can print out your chess pieces and play. Your mobile phone or tablet will reveal the pieces using the built in camera and CGI special effects.
As well as proving a standard set of chess pieces extra pieces can be used to develop your own starting positions. Included in this application are examples of alternatives to the official FIDE chess rules. These can be played against the computer or viewed as computer vs. computer. Using these inspirations AR Chess is designed to play with the rules and have fun doing it.
Don't forget to download and print out the chess pieces from the smartart.org.uk website...
