About Simply Gomoku
Simply Gomoku is a lightweight version of the classic board game where the aim is to make a row of five before your opponent. AI strength still being improved.
Features:
• A number of AI with varying playing strength
• Player vs AI, AI vs AI and player vs player (hotseat)
• Undo function
• Pinch to zoom
• Sharp and crisp visuals even on tablets
• Statistics tracking (e.g. win ratio)
• Small memory footprint
• Multiple colors for pieces and interface
Please note:
• Overlines not allowed (6+ stones doesn't count as a win)
• Currently does not enforce move restricting rules such as three-and-three
• Contains ads but only on menus, none during gameplay
• Network permission is used only for ads, this app doesn't collect any user data whatsoever

Small, elegant, functional - like all apps should be (but very few are). The only drawback is the absence of sound on/off toggle in the settings; I have to turn down phone media volume to disable the stone sounds.

One complain I have with the game is the lack of 3x3 or 4x4 penalty for black stone. Without it the first move advantage is too great. Maybe a later version can put that in as an option?

I was able to do an 8 in line and my win was never detected. I happened to trick "tricky" the AI bot, and I managed to do a 6 in line...and no win, then a 7 in line, then an 8 in line... My line was never detected. Game ended when the AI did its own 5 in line.

This app is too good to be free! I believe this is every gomoku lovers must have app! The game is so clean, fast download, no weird rules or permission, I really enjoy this! But I hope theres a stronger AI .
