Ghost Light

"haunted by dark dreams, you awaken... only to find yourself in a gloomy forest... alone... with strange voices... echoing 'seek the keys and the watcher to find a way home'..."

"'what can it mean?'... you wonder as, slowly, you get up and begin to search the dark forest for answers..."

* look around by sliding (or swiping) thumb left or right on lower half of screen; the amount you can turn depends on whether you are stationary (max turn per swipe), walking or running (min turn per swipe).

* move forward by sliding (or swiping) thumb up on lower half of screen; to set movement speed, use small slides (swipes) to walk (at min to normal speed), or a large slide (swipe) to run (at max speed).

* slow down (or stop) by sliding (or swiping) thumb down on lower half of screen; if running, movement will be reduced to normal walking speed.

* note that looking and moving input are calibrated dynamically in-game using thumb input distance from either LHS or RHS of screen; hence closer thumb input to either LHS or RHS of screen will make looking and moving more responsive.

"using a torch to light up the surrounding forest, you begin to notice things... things not visible in the gloom..."

* tap on lower half of screen to switch torch light on or off.

* although useful for finding and exploring, it may also alert 'others' to your presence within the forest.

* the 'torch' icon at the lower left (or right) of the screen will 'light up' when you are close to and facing a 'key'... however, it might take some time to capture them.

"using stealth to hide in the surrounding forest, you realise that it might be possible to evade anything you encounter... at least for a short while..."

* tap on upper half of screen to switch stealth ability on or off; note that movement speed is reduced when stealth is switched on, and increasing movement speed to run ('break cover') will switch stealth off automatically.

* stealth offers a defence against encounters, but its duration is limited (ie. depleted when in use, and replenished when not); note that it is more effective in the cover of the forest than out in open areas.

* if exhausted, it is not possible to re-activate stealth until it is at least 20 percent replenished.

* the 'stealth' icon (found just above the 'torch' icon) will show up when stealth is ready for use.
