PPSSPP - PSP emulator

In love with it every second I used it. Have been missing it on my Coolpad Note 3 due to certain glitches with my copy of Warriors Orochi & Orochi 2. The MALI-T720 really sucks. But loving it again on my Lenovo Z2 Plus with Snapdragon 820 and Vulkan. Love the fast forward key, it makes me go LOL sometimes in games. Soon going to buy the Gold Version now as I have a better compatible device. Thank you dev for such a pleasurable claasic experience. Love ya. ????

After the recent update, the app is crashing quite frequently. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. But Vulcan support is appreciated, it seriously improves frame rate and audio, plus the texture looks nicer too. It's a blessing I can play persona 3 on my phone. Haven't tried many other games though. Will edit and update the score once the game crashes are improved. Lastly, thank you to the developer for this amazing emulator.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (yes the best-of-the-best). And as soon as I selected Vulkan, instead of OpenGL all my games like Midnight Club 3, Midnight Club LA and even Gran Turismo works SUPER FAST AND ON AMAZING 5x PSP resolution. The only thing disappointing is that the emulator doesn't work full screen. *PLEASE ADD FULL SCREEN SUPPORT FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8*. BEST PSP EMULATOR.

This has continued to be an amazing app! The ability to run most PSP games flawlessly on my phone is incredible. My PSP broke a while back and I haven't had the money to buy the system again. I had missed playing my favorite PSP games. Now I still can! I highly recommend this app! I also recommend trying Dead Head Fred on it! Fantastic PSP title!

Its a fantastic emulator and the best .. using it since 3 years..!! Gameplay is Great.. Graphics could be improved.. Vulkan update is amazing, locked 60 in so many games that struggled before at much greater resolutions. Only issue I have is it keeps crashing in Ridge Racer when I do power slides, but turning off buffered rendering fixes it for now. Keep it up secs, this is one the best emulators going.

Came here to boast about being one of the lucky guys that can use Vulcan plugin ???? Tekken six running smooth af on redme note 4. One star less is because games sometimes crash when I turn off my screen. My favourite settings like load latest save state and multi thread processing is missing for some reason.

Runs great on my S7, and I appreciate that the free version doesn't hold any features back. I have had it crash a couple times while overwriting save states, and had to hard reboot my phone because it stopped responding completely. Other than that, it's excellent and works really well.

On my Zenfone2, some parts of games run smooth, while others get bogged down by my phone's slow CPU+GPU. When the frame rate drops, the audio snaps and crackles in very annoying ways. Otherwise, this runs great!

Runs smooth on most games. But I found lags in 2D effects like Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection (in magic effects). It was smooth on the older version. Now I can't get a smooth framerate in any settings. I use Snapdragon 835 right now.

This is a great emulator. No ads and designed with PlayStation in mind. The amount of options are really great. Haven't been using it too long but pretty sure it's the best for free in the Android store for me. Will update a bigger more detailed review later. Time to play Jak & Daxter...

While Android 8.0 has still broken some of the openGL functionality, the recent implementation of Vulkan seems to have fixed the problems. Glad to be using this fantastic emulator again. I will be supporting the paid version as I greatly appreciate the recent update!

I was playing Megaman Maverick hunter X and it was going well. It was choppy but I just frameskipped it. The real problem was that every time I would get past Flame mammoth and chill penguin, and I would try to go to Spark Mandrill but it would crash. If you could fix it that'd be great then I will give 5 stars. Thank you for your consideration.

Absolutely fantastic. Plays most games I've thrown at it on my Xperia z5. I used it on the same device about a year ago and had a couple of crash issues. Obviously the dev is still working on this as it's been amazing since I re-downloaded it. Thanks!

Try Naruto impact, blazblue series, monster hunters: absolutely 5*. Man, people in the category "boring" really dont know how to use google or youtube to make this app work. Such a sad thing. This app is so amazing and doesn't deserve to have that much 1*.

You are the true jedi of the console emulator world. Never before i've tried emulator as sophisticated as PPSSPP. The GUI, vast tweaking, excellent optimization. It's almost feel like i play the games on my own psp i just love it.

Please fix this app. I don't have alot of space in my internal memory so I downloaded my psps games into my sd card. This app used to be able to read my sd card but now it suddenly stopped. And what's with the black screen?

I freaking love this emulator for plenty of reasons one being that everyone else copies this one for an emulator. Really this is the only one out there. Little laggy but it runs for free. I play with the graphics settings constantly trying to find a better faster combination for my phone but not much luck yet.

Used to be a 5 star app. Beware that since update if you go back to home screen you will lose game if you dont save. Screen will be black and crash upon return. Since newest update the screen orientation has to be manually changed. Used to be auto.

Great emulator but I face one minor problem, I don't know where to contact you, so, I'll leave it here... Since Vulkan support come to Android many games has improved in terms of speed but I don't know why Kingdom Hearts always make the app force close on Vulkan mode.. The problem doesn't exist on OpenGL

The app is nice but I'm finding it difficult to completing my master league matches. It breaks down at the final match. Can't move to another season. Why? Please fix it for a five star.

So all of the people saying they can only get boring games obviously has no idea what theyre doing... like come on its really easy to use...

I love this app. But i am having problem with these new updates. The cheats which ussd to work on previous version are not working anymore. I have completed my games i just use cheats to have fun. ;^; please help ppssppp team

According to tepin profiler, the emulator doesnt allocate resources that well. If my phone could utilize all of my cores except 2 then I wouldnt need to use frameskipping, also the gpu isnt stretched either coming at around 30% My phone would feel like a monster if this app was tuned for it.

Vulkan support now added gave a huge increase to usage on older hardware. Before I was unable to play GOW at low fps and all settings at low. After update, at max settings and 5x resolution and 5x HW resolution I was pulling 30fps and no lag or sound sync issues. Final verdict, vulkan has made the snapdragon 820 able to emulate the psp 95%. Only one game I have had any issues with is Phantasy star portable 2 infinity. There are a few areas that still give some really horrible frame drops. But you can lower the setting down a bit to make this more manageable. Once you do this it is finally at a playable state to enjoy. Thanks to the dev for the hard work that has been going into make this emulator the best in the store!

Great emulator works perfectly with most games however spider-man 3 keeps crashing and I've tried everything if you could recommend some settings to help me fix it I would be greatful

It's good but it can be better. When I open the app it plays properly but when I touch the home button and try to play it again it is just a black screen. Please fix it asap I can't play properly

I Didn't Have Much Space So I Couldn't Set It Up... I'll Get A Bigger SD Card Soon And I'll Update This Review. I'm Basing This Review On The PSP, (Which I Can't Find Myself Not Using) But I Can't Do Anything With No Space... (Meaning Less Stars Than I Want To Give) Damn It, I Want To Play PSP Games Now, And It's A Shame I Didn't Have Space... Oh Well, I'll Just Charge Mine And Play That... Anyway, Soon I'll Get A Better Phone... (This "S III" Might Be Weak... Let's Hope A "J III" Is Better...)

Dev team is real active with uodates and the community around the app supports the dev well. Just need to fix the issue with the crashing i have a note 8

So I got mainly to play dragon ball z budokai tenkaichi tag team. So I downloaded it, and I decompressed it. I just want to point out, it took hours for me to figure out how to do that. So after a long I think I can finally play my game. Nope. I can go to it, and it will load, but as soon as I go into the main story it will go black, and I no matter what I do it will stay black. That's not the only problem, I can't even play regularly. When I ever I try to do a normal fight it will stay on the loading screen forever, no matter what I do. So I was exited at first but was hugely disappointed in the end. Plz fix.

The game crashes very often when 1) I put phone to sleep 2) I change apps. Shouldn't be the phone's problem as there was never this problem previously, and I'm not running that many apps in the background.

Might as well took the time to buy a real PSP. This app looks and feels like a real one. I play Corpse Party on it all the time. Definitely deserve more than the 5 star rating system Google uses.

GTA VCS smooth as butter on S8 with Vulkan. But app crashes when running in the background. Also no full screen support. Still 5 stars. Been waiting to play this game for 11 years.

My phone runs it buttery smooth with Vulkan! Some games are broken with Vulkan though, like Burnout Legends.

Vulkan support gives a good performance boost to games. However the cheat function seems to be broken in the newest update. I tried using cheats on vulkan and opengl but they're both not working.

it lags on 1GB GAMES BUT for 1gb below id dosent lag why? and by the way we need to be able to have an auto set up on our settings like so we dont struggle to find the no lag setting

So this works and is pretty good however I having problems with it. If I close it out, like go to another app, and return to the game the screen remains black but the game is still on in the background and this forces me to close the app completely and start it back up again it's annoying constantly going through this problem

Works with most of the games I've played so far. Games with huge files such as DOA Volleyball has problems in the sound department and tends to lag a bit but overall this is a wonderful app to have and I recommend it. Note!!! I would advise using a newer phone because it seems to work better that way. I'm using the Samsung Note 8 now and it's a whole lot faster compared to myself previous phone the Galaxy s5.

New update is causing black screen every time i press home button or pover button. Hope you fix it soon. Great app, thanks for all the good work.
