This is a good app. But i dont know how accurate this is. It shows me a rating of 1700.but i dont think i am that good. Please keep an option of updating the exams more frequently. When i get a repeat question i solve it quickly which increases my rating. Please solve this problem some how. Its better if we get a completely new set of position every time. There is a bug. There are many position where it is asking to move the night diagonally. And in some case it is showing an illegal move. Some case showing a piece where there is not even a single piece is there.

Bad app. I can have another good move at the same time right? How do you judge right based on a particular move? Lol funny.

I had two games where I could have had checkmate but it said it was not right even though I win and it didn't even say it was a good move

Of the first 4 tests all 4 did not have the checkmate as an option

There is a bug in one of the puzzles (so far) if you give me an email adress I can send you a picture. Otherwise it's a nice app.

The latest version tests me quite accurately...the same as my USCF rating. But it would be nice to see full solutions.

Doesn't always accept the best move as the right one. This app thinks too much like a computer. The rating system is pretty accurate if you test yourself a few times and take an average of the scores it gives you.

Here is a big idea for developer. You can include a good engine to make understand user that why that move was good. And also include the practice tactic in it. some user want good 3d interface so you have to make this app 3d.make this app beautiful because i think it will my favourite app for chess training.

After long time playing chess, i have to know how good i am :-)

Some of the puzzles are really rubbish. Losing the Queen for a rook is called "the best move" ... Also I think it calculates overall and gives you a little too much rating. Uninstalled after a few days.

I've had 1554 slightly higher than expected. Must improve the formula to achieve repeatability. But the app is fun anyways.

I am amazed that with a certain system we can measure a player strength... please keep improving with users observations and try to include another functions like blindfold chess training and chess visualization training to higher the use and expectations of the app.

Please use a standard chess set . The one in the app is quite bad.

The app is prone to freeze or hang and there is no way to MOVE THE PIECES while the timer runs out!!! Also I cannot be sure whether its rating is accurate or not. Update in reply to developer - This freezing is a real bug. It can happen at any time although more prone to happen if you press a square and change your mind by pressing another. Once it freezes, there is no way to recover back. And the timer is still running.....!

When the turn to play black arrives, the table should be flipped automatically... Or at least make a feature to flip the table...

I am a 1800 player, and this app rated me 1090. Wth?

Speed of solving should also be considered seriously. There's a big strength difference between someone who can solve it in 3 seconds and someone in 10 minutes.

It gives ratings accurately

Once I was around 1900 on ICC in standard but I lost interest in chess and play around 1650 now. This program says I am a 1389 good hobby player...then in 2nd test a 1789 strong club player...the puzzles are NOT easy and the first time catches u out with the difficulty so be warned!!

At first I thought it might have potential. Even hoped it was another Bratko-Kopec type test. At least that estimated my rating within 100 points. This stupid program just throws tactics puzzles with flaws. I have 6 ratings, all are over 1950. Including USCF. This program estimated 1650 as my highest in 4 tests. Really really bad. Might re-eval another day after a few updates.

I am an unrated player. This rated me at, 1976 very strong club player. However the accuracy is thrown off because it is easy to choose the first move correctly without knowing why it was correct. Especially after four tries. Also, the board stains the eyes.
