The 3d looks ok, but still hard to see the whole board without moving it around a lot. 2d, with sharp contrast between pieces, seems to be the best way to go playing chess unless playing it in person.

The game is nice enough. Played it on my Xperia Mini Pro. It lags a lot. And the 360¤ panning is slow and clumsy. Graphics are hood enough, other than the surrounding, which could have been better, since it need not have been 3D too. Remove the lag, and everything should be fine. (my cell phone plays HD games smooth, including likes of TinTin HD, and so, I find no reason for this one to lag so much.
