It makes me mad. How did some people feel like they have the privilege of someone else's life that they had taken so many innocent's life like just ripping a piece of paper?? This inspirative game made me wonder if there is something that I can do to make this world a better place to live for every single human in the this world. Thankyou for created such an inspirational game..

OK. Powerful message.Disturbing. Gonna judge based on game play. Dad jumps too high like he's some kinda superhero. Some death moments made me chuckle, needs to be more realistic. Since it's not really a game, why does dad even die in the beginning? Why were we given a choice to live or die?. Also too short, needs to be longer for a greater impact. I seriously think the game needs to be more realistic and not cartoony. The game looks really funny in the beginning, only getting serious near the end. But great message.

I have never felt the horrors of wars this close. Everything felt so connected to my heart... Every scene and movement of frames, we're enough to tell the intended story. Though what in this app is a game scenario captured, is actually a bitter side of life for many innocent lives. Really appreciate the development team for creating this for the whole world to feel and see

Best game ever!! Almost Made me cry! Awesome sound tracks and good graphics.. Inspiring and great... This game made me understand about the pain people have during wars... Must play!! Such an inspirative game made me think if i can do something to make this world a better place.... I thank the developers for making such a good game with a good story....

A short but powerful and interactive game that nearly made me cry. The dark and light effects of the graphics really pulled me into the dark depressing perspective of the story. Though I wish it could be a little longer, I could never imagine that in such a small amount of time that I would tear up.

Great short game. Great because it puts you in the shoes of the poor innocent Palestinian people who have lost everything. As an American I feel so much anger toward my governments support for Israel and lack of support for Gaza and the Palestinian people. I pray for the peace, love and safety that they so much deserve. May Allah bring blessings in abundance to these people and may the Israeli people learn to do what is right. Bless Palestine and it's great people who have endured and continue to endure so much.

Oh allah protect the syrians and palestinians and everyone being oppressdd.. the last scene where the soul of lylia leaves earth eactly how the world is today and humanity has just left us... may the cries of innocent children, loss of mothers, screams of elderly shatter those in power and are oppressors..

This is clearly not a game. It's a story. A story I wish weren't true. I cried from start to finish. At the ending, I found it hard to read, due to the blurriness from tears. I'm utterly heartbroken. Genius, that you got the story out in a way that will reach people not effected by "The Shadows of War".

Went through all the comments. Most of the people rated this 'game' so high. Loved it. Most of the people loved it. We can see here most of the people hate war. MOST OF THE PEOPLE. Means that some people love war. Why? Arrogant and ignorance. This 'game' will never change anything. When the time comes, we will smile together again.

The game is short and uses games as a narrative art form. Games are art and people don't understand that art may have a politic that might male them question their world views. If you cannot see the UN or human rights groups as credible then you probably won't like this game as it uses their statistics which is largely consistent with what was reported in the media. The game brings up a question about the senselessness and arbitrary nature of war by punishing behavior that is generally seen as common sense in other games.

This interactive story did not leave my eyes dry... It really does not matter on which side war crimes are happening, if they are still on the go. This game just shows us, that there are some actions which not possible to turn back. Never.

Not a game actually...But a short story. Not made to play but made to understand I guess. A dying innocent does not belong to any religion. His/her death in the name of war will always be unjustifiable. He was just playing...He just went out to buy veggies...He was just walking around...And boom! Your life is over. Nice work. Appreciable.

It's a short war story done in simple animated form with artistic merit. But it is one-sided: deals with just the effects of war on the innocents from the Gaza side. No mention of the causes and triggers of the War (both Israeli-Palestinian sides)... But that's too complex an issue to deal with.

It was amazingly beautiful and touching! It's so surreal and entertaining for how short the gameplay is. I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could!! Never found a game so wonderful as this one... My condolences to all the families that suffered through this terrible tragedy. May God be with you through it all.

This game, even though it was only short, was excellent. It has beautiful graphics and it has such a powerful message. There needs to be more apps/games like it, especially to provoke thought/conversation in the younger generations and hopefully help prevent conflict in the future. Well done to the creators of this app, it is truly a beautiful, and powerfully informative game.

I was crying during the entire whole game. My family were survivors of the war in Libya. I can imagine the fear my family went through. I wasn't with them when that time happened, I couldn't sleep for days because I had difficulty contacting them. Thank God He provided a way out for them.

A very powerful narration told with a young girl and her family, the sound effects actually made me have goosebumps and also I was reduced to tears. A must play especially for those of us who are ignorant and want to know more of the horrors of war on Gaza strip

Unbelievable how ignorant some of you people are. This is a story of a true event and you are complaining about how short it is or how the graphics are disappointing?? Retarded kids that don't understand the point of this app. Sad world we live in.

The game is hardly one... it's an experience. And a sad one. Your wife, your daughter, and everyone else you come along all die in the end. No matter what you do, you can only run and think for your own and sometimes that's not enough to have your family survive. I wish the developers would've delved deeper into each character's personality and bring the players to a closer connection with them. Overall, it's a great concept, and I can't wait to see more games like this.

The game is ok... but the one element that stood out the most was the story. Its like reading a short, a little shreded book with a story that will forever live on in your memry and in your heart. The game was ok gameplay, graphics, controls... some parts were VERY slow. But still, it is a game that I think everyone should play to learn about how many lives were taken in wars. And how we should not ridicule the people that were affected by this war. Truly, it was a beautiful game.

Great story very sad and very true. We're living in a world of sadness and we all must help each other to live a life that all humanity have the RIGHT to. So the likes of laila and tge kids on the beach playing can have a good life, a deserving life!

Even though it was just a really small game the background sound and the story really worked a lot. Thank you for making this game which is actually not for playing purpose but a very high purpose and through this people would feel how it was for the father to lose his family. Good work

Contrary to popular video game themes where you are put in the boots of a soldier, this game lets you play as an innocent family trapped in war. Instead of glorifying war like mainstream video games, this game shows the horrifying realities of war on common people.

Short and to the point, Liyla doesn't shy away from depicting the realities of war. The game's linearity while admittedly leaves something to be desired, succeeds in conveying the sense of helplessnes and hopelessness. The first time 'I' died, I was silently screaming omg what is happening?? When it came to the boys on the beach, I instinctively knew I had to select the 'no' option yet couldn't bring myself to do so, resulting in another omg what is happening?? moment, of which the game affords repeatedly.

I HOPE THIS GAME HAS BEEN PLAYED BY ALL OVER THE PRESIDENT IN THIS WORLD.. ALL OVER THE HUMAN IN THIS WORLD,ALL OF THE SOLDIER,THE MILITAN,TERORIST OR WHAT EVER THEY CALL IT.. This game is very fun and sad at the same time! The husband tried to protect the wife and daughter, but the wife died from maybe a bomb or heart attack! The daughter got killed by a bomb when she was half way at the hospital, but sh never made it! Let us all pray for those elders and youngings and don't forget to pray for the husband, wife, and daughter to have a good life in heaven! (:

Game was short, but the message to this world is Steep, I don't know how some heartless people are giving negative feedback just because this game is not an actual long game but this is so much more than a game, to make you realize what you are, & what you're destined to be!

This is a really sad story which demonstrates the atrocities of the injustice applied by an occupant force which think that they have got the right to live in a land that they don't deserve. I really understood how war play with the humanity

By far this is the best story game i've ever played. Even the game is short but it brought so many feels to me. I almost cry while seeing the ending. I can't never imagine if i were in their place. Good job at this game dev. We need more like this :')

Yeah the game short, the credit were longer than game but the message inside the game really touch my heart. A father tried to save his family from active war zone if I in that situation probably I dis not know what to do. Great game should do more send the message too all.

Now this beats Call Of Duty Franchise... Literally never considered war effects so much before this... When in the end, they describe those 4 boys... And the visuals accompanied beside their names... Literally heart breaking...

Incredible "playable PSA" type game that can be completed in about 20 minutes, but still managed to be incredibly touching. I'd definitely recommend anyone somehow undecided on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict play this.

Good way to catch the attention of people.. people are ignoring Palestine, Syria, Iraq, etc.. where people dying every single day coz of Israel or America.. and crying out for Paris and US... Everyone should be treated equally

It touch my heart. What can I do to help them? Let's think for a while. A soldier is trained to face and destroy another soldier. But until this day, Israel soldier only brave enough to face citizens. They don't think because they are the stupid army.

Very deep and thought provoking. The mishaps at Gaza are shown in a very touching way. It makes you stand amidst the prevailing situations back at that time. Well, not to mention, the end titles are very touching.

Poor man's Limbo... Complete waste of my time. Awful controls, boring and cheesy traps. How anyone can think this is a good game is utterly beyond me.

Everyone should try this game.It is heart touching and also truth of war in which innocence always stuck between them.because of few people ! Many of like us suffers.I hope more games made like that and also some long gaming timing.
