Minesweeper, Redesigned for Android
Great graphics, but the controls aren't the best. There is overlap between double tapping to clear areas, and double tapping to clear bombs. I would suggest removing the feature of double tapping the bombs, just for ease of gameplay. Also add a tutorial for the controls, to make it easier for people to start playing.
Uninstalled due to ice cream sandwich UI elements. Not a bad game, but when the UI is hideously outdated and mismatched with everything else on my phone, it takes away from the quality of the app. Plenty of other games that look nice out there. Updating the UI should be pretty simple, Google makes material design pretty easy with the SDK.
Not great. The controls could be better, the sounds are awful, and the broken English is so poor that it's distracting. The "achievements" aren't related to gameplay, and therefore have no reason to be in the game. The mine density is not well balanced between levels, so some of the "harder" levels are actually easier than some "easier" ones.
There is a flaw in the design of the game. Corners are not revealed often enough, and the blank spaces are not designed to reveal corners, so that a large part of the strategy is guessing, and not using actual logic. The flaw is probably due to the way the blank clearing zones are programmed. I imagine it's very difficult to design this game correctly and probably based on math. The UI is great and I would play this game a lot more if it wasn't for the one major flaw.
Puzzles should be, but are not, logically solvable. Sloppy progamming. Pointless when, regardless of how clever player may be, she will be forced to guess. If wrong, the game is over.
First off, there's way too much guessing. The way you've created your algorithm is beyond stupid. Secondly, take out that God awful noise that plays when you flag a bomb. Thirdly, it's just plain ugly.
Amazing redesign for an old classic game. I threw my phone (Didnt break) because I was at 493/503 bombs when I lost. 5 stars!
It works, but it's nothing special. 'Redesigned' has no real meaning here, as it's just plain Minesweeper, which is generally fine. For me to consider using it as my primary Minesweeper app, I would want: Shorter (or preferrably, customizable) mine flagging hold time; custom board sizes/mine counts; pinch zooming out/in; and to be assured the games can be solved with logic and not guessing (I haven't experienced that yet, but I didn't play a lot either). If my needs could be met, I'd even consider donating.
minesweeper's base objective is to clear the minefield without touching the bomb, please revert this game's objective to the classic one, not flag all the bombs. maybe let have 2 objective will be great if you do it.note: i usually don't flag bombs. Aside from it all great but since you probably wont read this review, i lowered the rating from 3/5 to 1/5.
Sometimes the numbers 2 and 1 appear in some impossible situations which creates a confusing situation
It is a good game but very frustrating. I lost dozens of games because a bomb exploded when I was long-pressing it to mark it. I will probably uninstall soon.
Great concept, terrible realization. Why does this delay after every tap even exists? And why is it about 1 second?!
Poorly programmed. Had a glitch on my second game which made it unwinnable, and even on the easy levels you have to guess, which you shouldn't have to do.
hey devs, im a long time minesweeper and i play pretty fast paced, love the game, 5 star . . but can there be like a pause button cause i notice even when i leave the app, the time is still running, and i enjoy playing it at my leisure, u cant expect someone to finish inferno and chuck norris level in one go right, also when im on a roll, just doubletaping my way, flagging a mine end up with me accidentally opening it, it really sucks when u have hundreds of bombs to go, dont know if u guys can do something about that, LOVE THE GAME
Ui, zoom issue and fix the flagging cheat. I can just guess at flags and win without actually clearing the field. Also, there's too much guess work. Dome of the smaller levels are actually harder cause there is do much guess work involved. Thanks
Not exactly mine sweep reinvented. I was expecting at least puzzles with no guessing required
But unsolvable situations are still possible :(
I would have thought that the technology would exist now to prevent guessing scenarios. This game is nothing you haven't seen before but not bad by any means.
Weirdest mechanics I've ever seen. The bomb count indicators are so subtle and hard to recognise.
Unfortunately it is not programmed properly such that, even on the easiest levels, it requires way too much guessing. The idea of minesweeper is pattern recognition and logical deciphering, very rarely leaving bomb positions to random chance. Give my regards to the ui designer.
Sandbox level bugs out if you beat it in under 3 seconds and fails to load your time to the leader boards, so the #1 #2 and #3 are all 3.00 seconds. No leader boards for the fastest on Chuck Norris difficulty is disappointing.
Not a pretty game, really. The worst is the controls. Needs an overhaul.
Great design and nice controls. But you should really put "rate" button in settings for easy access to play store.
I wish I can resume any game after closing it, not starting all over everytime I close a game.
It would be much better if the app can auto save my game progress!
My screen keeps zooming out on its own
Minimal but pleasing design, controls optimized for mobile.
Solvable and fun.
In the larger levels it is usually easier to obtain a higher score by flagging a few mines and then detonating one as rapidly as possible than by clearing the whole minefield, breaking the purpose of the game.
I was so close to giving up on ever finding a good looking Minesweeper on Android. You're off to a great start. The settings icon when you win is a little misleading, since it only goes back to the main screen AND there aren't any settings to set! In addition to the awesome suggestions made by the previous reviewer, touch feedback when you're selecting a tile would be nice.
Looks beautiful but needs better controls. For example an option that will allow double click for bomb and one click for everything else. Also if the only blocks left are bombs finish the round!! There should not be a need to mark all or any of bombs.
1 star for no option to decrease press time needed to mark mines.
Graphical glitches all over. Galaxy S I9000 with ICS
Progress feels meaningless without random levels

Can you make it possible for user to calibrate how fast a double tap is or how long I have to hold..? I always opened the bomb by mistake... The game is great though, i like the design...
Too many mines leads this one to guessing disappointing cool concept though
I dont wanna sign into google to play your game. Also, why do i have to mark every single bomb to win? I love the cool theme though.

Nice game, fun (for a minesweeper) and all. Nice design. I haven't tried that multiplayer mode, but sounds interesting. But it crashes too often while in the main menu. Sometimes it lags when zooming in or out. The way to place mine signs feels weird
